Happy Hump Day! This has been such a wild week! Between Dr.'s appointments, helping my daughter move and trying to get ready to leave for a week long trip my craft room has looked deserted. So, I thought tonight I would do a quick card for Joan's Garden challenge. This will be my last card until next Sunday! I may take some images with me to color but I wont be able to make cards...darn! LOL! I found out this week that I am getting old...my daughter had about 15 steep steps to climb up and down while moving boxes. Oh, but I am a tired old lady tonight. My image is an older one that I haven't used in a long time. I don't know why because she is so cute. I colored her with Copics and I used one of my new Spellbinders die to frame her...just love those hearts! I added some lovely lace from my sweet friend Shirley aka Nannieflash. It is so lovely I have been hoarding it for a spell. I used a MS punch for my butterflies and a Whimsy ticket sentiment. Flowers from WOC and some half pearls finished off my card. Have a great week and I shall see you when I return in a week. God Bless You! I am entering this card at the following challenges:

"With Sympathy"
It is hard to get enthusiastic about a sympathy card. But, I will say I do like this one. The digi is a free one that I got about a year ago. I am sorry that I don't know who to credit, but I think it is lovely and a great image for a sympathy card. I colored the image with my Copics. The lovely lace was a gift from a dear friend across the pond...thanks Shirley. I used a cuttle bug embossing folder for the the background white piece. I added a SU sentiment and used a MS punch for the lace trim and popped it with foam dimensionals. I added a sheer ribbon and a half pearl to finish off my card. "Just 4 You"
I have had a slow MOJO this week. I have been running here and there and not accomplished much. Oh, well, tomorrow is another day! I love these new h'Angler images and just couldn't wait to ink mine up. I think this was me wondering where the MOJO went. LOL! I wanted to get this made to enter it at Joan's Garden challenge. We were supposed to do 'stripes', pink and green, scallops, and a thank you. If you notice my flowers I used Copics to make pink stripes on them. I thought they turned out pretty cute. I added my scallops with a MS punch. I also added paper lace from a MS punch that is a scallop edge. My sentiment is from Whimsy and I framed my h'Angler with a Nestability. Pink half pearls finished off my card. I am entering this card at the following challenges:

Happy Birthday
This is my last card I have to do for the commissioned cards. I am glad something I was worried about doing went so well. There is certainly a difference in making a card for fun and doing one for money. Hmmmm...is this insecurity? LOL! I used the cute Kenny K image called "Troublemaker" she has always been one of my favorites. I colored the image with the usual Copics. I used a Die-Namics die, MS die and one other that I can't remember what, for the lace and scallop edges. My sentiment tag is from Whimsy stamps. The inside sentiment is from SU. I also added some blossoms from Wild Orchid Crafts to finish off my card.

Happy 1st Birthday-2nd Card
This is my second card for the twins. It is another Mo Manning image. I loved this little guy. I colored him with Copics. I added a little Spica pen to the train wheels, just for a little sparkle! I used a die for the doily. The sentiment is from SU and framed with a Nestability die. The DP has flocked circle. It is a piece I have hoarded for years so I can't tell you where it is from. I added a sheer blue ribbon to finish off my card. This was a fun card to make...unlike yesterday! LOL! Blessings!
Happy 1st Birthday!
I was commissioned to do five cards today! I was pretty excited about that. I have a former co-worker who has twin grandsons who are celebrating their first birthday. She wanted a card for each but wanted each to be different and to fit their personalities. I thought this image from Mo Manning was perfect for one of the cards. Isn't it just the sweetest? I colored the image with Copics. Since I had such good luck yesterday with my liquid glass I couldn't wait too try it today. LOL! I added some sparkle to the cup cake frosting with extra fine glitter and a little Spica pen to the candle light. The sentiment is from SU and I framed it with a Spellbinder's die. I added a gingham ribbon to finish off my card. I hope this card is worthy of a commission.

Grammy & The Boys--Bedtime Stories
Does anyone else have a card that just mucks up and doesn't come out quiet like you thought it would? Well, this is my card! I have had this paper from DCWV for a long time. I thought it would be perfect for this card, but somehow it just didn't work out. I had it all glued together and so it is what it is. Then I had a big bubble in my liquid glass bottle and squirted it across a big area, twice I stuck my hands in the liquid pearls.....oh what a mess. I do like my cute Mo Manning image as it makes me think of my grandsons. I hope they will always have a love of books. I colored this image with Copics and framed it with a Nestability die.. I used a MS punch for the paper lace, liquid pearls, liquid glass (too much) and a tag, a white ribbon to finish my not so MOJO Monday card.

"Lace, Ribbon and Bows"
It is time for another challenge at KKKG's! This week is just my style! Ribbons, lace and bows on your card. I wanted my card to look like spring....we are so not like spring today. March is showing it's Lion side today. Also, I should have had this posted early this morning, no I didn't forget about Daylight Savings Time....just didn't schedule it correctly. I colored my image with Copics, like always! I used a Die-namics die for the lace around the frame of the image and a MS punched lace. I also punched two different scallops. I added a cute little pink ribbon from Lady Bug Crafts and another seam binding ribbon with a WOC rose in the center. A little glitter on the ice cream finished off my card. Be sure and play this week as there are two fantastic prizes for the winner, 5 digi images of your choice from Kenny K and a gift certificate at Michelle's Scrapbooking! You can find the challenge at

"Someone Special"
When I was a teen, I babysat a little girl named 'Suzi'. She had a big cat that looked much like this one. Suzi always kept me on my toes with her antics, but I loved to babysit her. Her poor cat, named Sugar, tolerated some 'extra' love from Suzi. LOL! The image is called 'Patience' from Mo Manning. Isn't it fun? I colored my image with Copics and used a Debbie Mum DP pad. I added a seam binding bow (thanks Amanda), a ticket sentiment and paper lace to finish off my card. I have had a fun day of playing in my craft room today! Hope your week-end was great also!
"Thinking of You"
This card just makes me think of spring. I love the pink and green colors this time of year. This cute little image makes me think of all the little girls dressed in their Easter dresses. I colored the image with Copics and used my Lifestyle dies to cut her out. All of my paper came from my scrap box. I used a Die-Namics die for the paper lace and two fern punches for the leaves. I also made my roses, I think they are looking better the more I practice making them. Three mini-button brads finished off my card. I hope each of you are having a wonderful week-end. My prayers for all in Japan, may you be safe with those you love.
"I'm Going to Miss Her"
I always laugh at the country song "I'm gonna miss her" and this Mo Manning image always brings that song to mind. The challenge at Mo's this week is to go green. I hope this card fits the bill. I colored the image with Copics. I added a little Spica to various areas for a little sparkle. The sentiment is from "Kraftin Kimmies" and is mounted with a Nestability die cut. The DP is from SU and I added a button to finish off this card.

It is challenge time again at Joan's Garden and we were supposed think spring! (And use the colors blue and orange!) Now, I must admit orange is not a favorite color of mine, but I am think outside of my box! LOL! The cute little image is a freebie Precious Moment coloring page. They have so many free images that I am wondering why I keep buying more! The orange paper is from my scrap box and the blue background if from Debbie Mum. I punched out some butterflies with a MS punch and add a little glitter and a pear for bling. The beautiful flowers are from my dear friend (and artist) Glenda at http://glendabrooks.blogspot.com/ you should check out her lovely work and her handmade flowers are beautiful. A sheer ribbon finished off my card. I hope it makes you think spring! I am entering this card at the following challenges:

"The Good Book"
There is nothing like sharing the 'Good Book' with a friend. This is my card for the MOJO MONDAY! This was such a fun sketch to play with. My image is from LOTV. The DP is either scraps or some I have had for years and I have no idea what the brand is. I colored my image with Copics. I used Nestablities to frame it and used MS punches for the lace. I used a Sizzix swirl die and added sticker rhinestones...they are nice for mailing. I used a Magnolia Do-Hickey die for the flower and added two gingham bows to finish off my card.

This is a fun little sketch and so versatile! I embossed both of my card stock pieces with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. I add ferns and roses and red heart rhinestones to finish off the outside of my card. The sentiment on the inside is from ODB. It just seems to work with this image! Check out the challenge at:

Birthday Dragon
My sweet friend Shirley aka "Nannieflash" reminded me on her blog that the Paper Shelter has a new challenge and new images. I don't know why it didn't show on my blogger reader as I am a follower. Anyway, the challenge is to use scraps and leftovers. Yes! My kind of a challenge! So I dug in my scrap box and I had scraps of paper for the card, a left over paper swirl, left over half pearls from Christmas, and the seam binding ribbon was an 'unused' gift from my friend Amanda. The button was a left over from a scrapbook page. The only thing that is not a left over is my Copics and Spica pens. LOL!

"Just For You"
I have been hoarding this piece of paper for about three years. I just love it. I think because it makes me think of my grandmother. She lived in Missouri and it was such an adventure for my brothers and I to go visit them. I finally broke down and used it today. Now, I will probably hoard this card. LOL! I colored this cute little h'Angler image with copics. I cute her out with my Lifestyle circle dies and then framed her with a Nestability. I used left over pieces of the solid blue paper to frame the sentiment and cut out the MS butterfly. I added some blue ribbon, and cream lace and half pearls to finish off my card. Fruity Color Splash
I think I am on a wild child color kick. I don't know why I am picking all these wild combinations lately but here it is! The challenge at Totally Tilda is 'Fruity'. So, I dug out my little "Blueberry Tilda", some 'fruity paper' (I don't even know why or where it came from) and then a plaid scrap out of the scrap box. I think it all works together?! I colored Tilda with Copics added some lovely lace that a sweet friend Shirley at http://nannieflash.blogspot.com/ sent me. Shirley does some of the most beautiful cards and her coloring is to die for. I added some Mulberry flowers and a sentiment ticket. My cute little ribbon is also a gift from Amanda at http://cardscatsandcopics.blogspot.com/. It is made from seam binding and I had so much fun playing with it! After I tied the bow I added a half pearl to finish off my card. I am entering this card at the following challenges:
A Little 'Midnight Madness'
We are in the midst of a huge thunderstorm. So while I am trying to put this card together I have an eighty pound lab dog trying to crawl up in my lap. She is such a baby when it storms. This started off to be a card for the Midnight Madness sketch but sort of went astray. (Must have been the storm or the dog) LOL! I colored my little h'Angler with Copics. I used two MS punches on the lace for the frame. I also used my Crop-A-Dile to add some bumps on the paper. I used a Die-namics die for the lace on the blue strips of paper. I added some tiny buttons and mulberry flowers to finish off my card.

"Walk In The Light"
I have to admit it, these colors are wild! I wanted to do the challenge at Copic Creations, which was complementary colors. In my case red-violet and olive green. It is not a color combination that I would ordinarily use, but I had the cutest piece of paper that just happened to have this combination, so I went from there. I hope this card will 'brighten' someones day. LOL! I used a Sugar Nellie image and colored her with Copics. I added a little liquid glass to her glasses. I framed the image with Lifestyle Dies and added paper lace with a MS punch. I also used a MS punch for my heart scallop boarder and embossed the top boarder with a Cuttlebug. I added rolled paper roses (yes, I am still working on those). I added pearls to the center of each rose and fern leaves.

"The Peace Of God"
This is an old stamp that have had for years. This image never fails to move me. It is different from any stamp I have. It is not an image you can color but it is very moving. Don't you think so? My friend Pat has been on a roller coaster ride this week. She had first been told that the cancer had not spread to her lymph nodes and today she was told that it had spread to her lymph nodes. I wanted her to know that so many of her friends are praying for her. I dug this stamp out to make this card for her. My sentiment is an old SU stamp and I framed it with Nestabilities.
Lady Bug Challenge
Since my good friend "Amanda" has been picked to be the GD at http://ladybugcraftsink.blogspot.com/
I wanted to be sure and play along. You go Amanda your card is terrific and I hope they snatch you up as a full time DT member! The challenge this week is 'stitching' (faux or real). I love stitching on a card and I think it adds a lot. I had also won some really cute stamps at Ladybug Crafts and this was a great chance to to color one up. Check out Amanda's cute creations at http://cardscatsandcopics.blogspot.com/ you will want to follow her blog as she will bring a smile to your face with each posting.
