"Let Me Be There!"

I am loving the new release "Sweet Crazy Love"  from Magnolia. I think these images are some of the best yet. So after my 1st card today I decided to have a go at something I wanted to do. LOL!
I cut this image out with a Spellbinder die...I thought it made a nice frame once I sponged the edges. My flowers are die cuts from Cherrylynn and my DP is  from KC & Company. I added a pretty sheer ribbon to finish of this fun card. Happy Monday and blessing to each of you!
My Song: "Let Me Be There"
Where ever you go, where ever you may wonder in your life
Surely you know, I always wanna be there
Holding your hand, standing by to catch you when you fall
Seeing you through in everything you do
Let me be there in your morning
Let me be there in your night
Let me change whatever's wrong
And make it right.
Let me take you to that wonderland
That only two can share
All I ask you
Is let me be there!

Guy Cards!

This was not my day to make a "Guy" card. First I picked the paper I was going to use, had it laying on my desk and then I dropped a copic across it. So I decided to color my image an then choose  a different paper. (I only had one piece of the original paper). I wasn't really happy with my second choice but at least it didn't have flowers or pink on it. After I colored my image I used liquid glass on the glasses. After sticking my  fingers in it not once but two time. I laid it aside to dry. OK, this is enough of bad karma on a card righ?...oh no... I then tore an end off one of my swirls. Since I had used a scrap piece I would either have to re-mount my image or fix my swirl. So, I added the brads. I then thought these looked odd since I chose copper...yep...the brain is not working here. So I added copper stickles to the swirls. They really did look pretty until I turned them upside down on my jeans. ARRRRRRR! Did I mention I hate 'guy' cards? I quit before I destroyed it all together. Maybe I will have better inspiration tomorrow? I think I need to take a 'guy card' class. Hope your Monday card making went better than mine!
My Song: "Some Kind Of Trouble"
Trouble in my heart, trouble on my mind
Never any trouble for me to find
Some kind of trouble
I was down around so low as a body can be
So, I talked to my preacher about prayen' for me
He smiled and said, "Child you're not alone"
"Cos all God's children got to deal with their own,
Kind a trouble!"
 I got trouble!

Sittin' in the Summer Sun!

A closer view!

It has been a lazy day at the Chapman household. The weather is cold and other than a few loads of laundry there hasn't been much activity around her. I promised myself that after I posted this card I would do something that remotely resembles ambition. LOL! This image is one of the many fun C.C Stamps you can find at "All That Scraps".
I used the following products on this card: Copics, flowers, adhesive squares, glue dots

My Song: "I'm A Believer!"
I thought love was only true in fairytales
Meant for someone else but not for me
Oh, love was out to get me
That's the way it seemed
Disappointment haunted all my dreams...

I hope your Saturday is a great one!

Doesn't she look as if she is just waiting for a Valentine from that special someone? You can find this stamp at All That Scraps . Are you working on your Valentine cards for all those special people in your life? I am using a new Memory Box Boarder die and old paper from the scrap box. LOL

My Song: Put A Little Love In Your Heart
Think of your fellow man
Lend him a helping hand

Put a little love in your heart
You see it's getting late
Oh, please don't hesitate
Put a little love in your heart
And the world will be a better place
And the world will be a better place
For you and me, you just wait and see

"Paper Roses"

Another new Magnolia stamp. I had so much fun making this card. I colored the image with Copics and framed it with a spellbinders die. I flipped the die and cut out the green mat. I cut a slit on each side and threaded a ribbon through and added a bow and pearls. I used my punches from sweet Amanda for the foliage and added roses from WOC. I added two hear pins to finish off this card.
My Song:
I realize the way your eyes deceived me
With tender looks that I mistook for love;
So take away the flowers that you gave me
And send the kind that you remind me of.
Paper Roses Paper Roses
Oh how real those roses seem to be!
But they're only imitation
Like your imitation lover for me.

"Take My Heart"

This is one of my new Magnolia stamps. She is so cute and fun to color. Since the weather has been dreary I wanted this card to be bright and cheery. I used my MTF die to frame Tilda and add some foam squares to pop her and the frame. I added the scallop die boarder and MS lace to the bottom. The top is a waste piece from another die cut and I used my crop-a-dial to add some dots. Two pretty little flowers finish off this card.  Just a fun spring card to add to my stash.
My Song:
Holiness, holiness is what I long for
Holiness is what I need
Holiness, holiness is what You want from me
Faithfulness, faithfulness is what I long for
Faithfulness is what I need
Faithfulness, faithfulness is what You want from me
Take my heart and form it
Take my mind and transform it
Take my will and conform it
To Yours, to Yours, Oh Lord

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENN!"

We are celebrating this week at ABC's challenge. Our letter this week is "H" for Happy Birthday! It is also sweet Jenn's birthday so we want to wish her a very Happy Birthday. I hope each of you will join us this week! You can always use a stash of Birthday cards! Don't just love this cute little bear? I colored him with Copics. I used my new MFT zig-zag for the trim and a MS punch for the lace. The inside sentiment is from Stampin Up and is framed with a MFT die. I am loving this new die. A gingham ribbon and bow, a heart charm and ribbon roses finish of the Happy Birthday card. We are being sponsored this week by:
My Song:
They say it's your birthday
Well, it's my birthday too yeah
They say it's your birthday

"Let It Snow?"

Don't you just love 'Sylvia Zett Stamps"? I think they are all such sweet images. This is my latest acquisition and I love it. I colored it with Copics and added Polar Ice to the fur on her jacket. I added fun flock to the boots and glitter to the snow. I used a Memory Box die for the snowflakes on the side and added rhinestones to the center of the snowflakes. We have yet to have any snow this winter. If fact the is the mildest winter I can remember. While in some ways this is nice, it is also bad for us in the long run as we need the moisture. That is the reason for the title to this card.
My Song: "The Blizzard"
There's a blizzard comin' on... how I'm wishin' I was home
For my pony's lame and he can't hardly stand ....
Listen to that norther sigh.... if we don't get home we'll die
But it's only seven miles to Mary Anne...

"JUST SMILE"

I am sorry these pictures are so crummy. It is a dark, dreary, cold day and I just couldn't get a good picture. I and a BFF took one of the most fun scrapbooking classes I have had. Our class was held at "Scrappers and Stampers Delight" in Boise. Our helper was "Vanessa". She is so much fun and a former roller derby athlete. She made the class fun and I wanted to send her a card and thank her for all her help. I instantly thought of this Kenny K image, which is really a hockey/ice skater. But, with my trusty paint net I was able to make a few minor changes and make her work for the front image on my card. (I took out the hockey stick and added wheels to the skates!) I also used my new MFT oval die, My sentiment is from SU and the lace trim is from Magnolia dies. It felt nice to play a bit today! I have been missing my craft time!
My Song: (Nat King Cole)
Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky, you'll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll see the sun come shining through for you

"Hope and Faith"

As some of you many know. I have been working as a "Nanny" to two beautiful twin babies. I wanted to make them a "name frame" for their room. Don't you just love their names? Their mommy likes fairies and so I tried to stick with a 'fairy' theme. She also doesn't want them to have 'matching anything' so I tried to make the name frames different but similar.  I will give this gift my last day of working as a Nanny, which is four weeks away. I think that will give me lots of time to tweak these two projects. I hope your week end is going great and filled with blessings!
My Song:
Have faith, hope and charity
That's the way to live successfully
How do I know, the Bible tells me so
Do good to your enemies
And the Blessed Lord you'll surely please
How do I know, the Bible tells me so

"Valentine Girl"

Just a quick post tonight. I have been doing "Nanny" duties to two lovely twin baby girls. I am afraid my age is showing as I am struggling to keep up with everything. This is an image from Krista Smith. I colored it with Copics. I added lace with a Magnolia die. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder to add the heart embossing and a MS punch for the heart in the corner. I used the heart that was cut out for the added detail at the heart top of my card. Liquid pearls, ribbon and a scrap of paper finish of my "valentine girl" card.

My Song: Valentine (Martina McBride)
If there were no words
No way to speak
I would still hear you
If there were no tears
No way to feel inside
I'd still feel for you
And even if the sun refused to shine
Even if romance ran out of rhyme
You would still have my heart until the end of time
You're all I need, my love, my Valentine

ABC's Challenge

Happy New Year! What a great way to start out the new year with a challenge from ABC! This is a fun one. We are on the letter "G" so the challenge is "Go Green". You can use the color green or you can recycle! How fun is that? For my card I used an image from Krista Smith...one of my favorites. I used scraps from my scrap box, all the color green. I used some new C.C. dies for the flowers and leaves and 'recycled' my rhinestone brads. I also added some dry wall tape for  texture...is that recycling? LOL! I used a MS punch for my lace edging. A pink ribbon finishes off my card. Hop on over to ABC's Challenge for a chance to win some great prizes!

My Song:
The old home town looks the same as I step down from the train,
and there to meet me is my Mama and Papa.
Down the road I look and there runs Mary hair of gold and lips like cherries.
It's good to touch the green, green grass of home.
