A Cute Little Chick!

I have had this card around for a bit and never got it posted. Since it is quiet today I decided to post it. I know it is more of a summer image, but I thought I would post it anyway! My mom always loved chickens and so I thought of her a lot when I colored this. She has been gone 11 years and I still miss her and would love to sit and have a chat with her. I guess we never stop missing our moms and dads, do we? I hope if you mom and/or dad are still with you that you will take time to let them know how much you love them today! Blessings to each of you!
My Song: "You Raised Me Up"
When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with me.
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.

A shaped Card....A Hard Photograph!

There is a new challenge at Saturated Canary and since I had 'several' images that I haven't colored yet....oh, dear, I decided to play this time. The Lovely 'Pops' picked the challenge, which is a shaped card. If you have never visited Pop's blog you really should she does lovely work!  I MADE myself use a color that I had not worked with in a long time...also one I don't use often! Green! Don't ask my why I haven't used it more, I thought it was quiet pretty once I got my card done! LOL! I used my Spellbinders to make this easel card. I really do love easel cards, but I think they are so hard to get a decent picture of! I added a sleeve on one side as I couldn't really tell for sure if it was there or not...I guess it is time to get stronger readers!
I am enterting this card in the following challenges:

My Song: Amazing Grace/My chains are gone
My chains are gone
I’ve been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, Amazing grace
The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forbear to shine
But God, Who called me here below
Will be forever mine

He Knows My Name

I did this Maggie in "Pink"as I am sure it is a challenge somewhere? I will have to try and find it!  Anyway, I did this card in Memory of a friend that just passed away because of cancer. She was a wonderful person who fought a valiant fight and is now with the Lord. I realized that I used several things on this card that are non-traditional Christmas items. The boarder punch, pink, and paper, are all non-traditional, but I think that it looks good and it is perfect for Cheryl. I pray that one day this horrible disease will be wiped out and will no longer take the lives of so many loved ones.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song: (One of Cheryl's favorites) He Knows My Name!
I have a maker
He formed my heart
Before even time began
My life was in his hand
He knows my name
He knows my every thought
He sees each tear that falls
And hears me when I call
I have a Father
He calls me his own
He'll never leave me
No matter where I go

Love My Monsters!

It is cold dark and cloudy today, the Boise State Bronco game is on and I had a bit of time to color.
I wanted to make a cute little halloween card and so I chose this cute little image form Saturated Canary! She looks pretty sassy on her cute little broom. My paper and the google eyed bats are from Oreintal Trading. They were really cheap, but work well for this card! Just a fun little card for Halloween. I will look for some challenges to enter this in.  (OBTW...BSU is ahead at half time!)
My Song: Monster Mash!
I was working in the lab late one night
When myeyes beheld an eerie sight
For my monster from his slab began to rise
And suddenly to my surprise
He did the mash
He did themonster mash
The monster mash
It was a graveyard smash
He did themash
It caught on in a flash
He did the mash
He did the monster mash

Warm.....heart!

I really have no idea what I am going to do with this card, but I did have a fun time making it. The image is a free coloring page from Precious Moments. I added some Stickles to the stove for a little sparkle to the fire. I also added one of my new lovely sentiments from LOTV, the holly is a MS punch. I hope everyone has a blessed friday!
My Song: Already There
From where I'm standing
Lord it's so hard for me to see
Where this is going
And where You're leading me
I wish I knew how
All my fears and all my questions
Are gonna play out
In a world I can't control
When I'm lost in the mystery
To You my future is a memory
Cause You're already there
You're already there
Standing at the end of my life
Waiting on the other side
And You're already there
You're already there

Make Room For Him

Mo Manning has a new raggedy image and she is so cute. I just had to give her a color. I also merged her with a Mo Manning winter window. I actually merged two windows with the image for these cards. I think I might have gone a little over the edge with the sparkles but I was having too much fun sprinkling glitter, I didn't want to stop. I also added Stickles to the windows to make my the icicles stand out. Once I had that done, I decided a bit of liquid glass to the windows was just the ticket. With all the glue and the liquid glass my paper curled. Once I flattened it the liquid glass cracked. I think it looks like frost on the windows? What do you think? My sentiment was af freebie and I am sorry, as I don't know who to give credit for it. I really love the thought and it is a good reminder for all of us this holiday season. just two fun cards to add to my Christmas stash.

My Song: "No Room"
No room in the inn
No beautiful chamber, no soft cradle bed,
No place but a manger, nowhere for His head;
No praises of gladness, no thought of their sin,
No glory but sadness, no room in the inn.
No room, no room, for Jesus,
O give Him welcome free,
Lest you should hear at Heaven's gate,
"There is no room for thee."

"Girl's Night Out!

The Paper Shelter has a fun new challenge for you! This time our challenge is "Halloween". While I don't need a large stock of Halloween cards, I loved making this one. This little image from The Paper Shelter called "Bewitched Night" is so cute and she is so much fun to color. For some reason my camera totally washed her out. She is much brighter IRL! The background paper is from The Paper Shelter image "Gypsy Dance". The actual background color is teal, but I printed it in 'grey tones'. Don't you think it looks great for a Halloween moon? I love that so many of TPS images come with background papers and some with accessories also. It makes for lots of versatility when you can mix and match and print in various tones. I hope you will join us for this fun challenge and please check out the cute Paper Shelter images. If you use a TPS image you can win a $30.00 gift certificate. How great is that? Have a spooktacular day...sorry I couldn't help myself...be sure and check out our other DT cards and give them your best witches.....teehee...ok that's it for me!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: (The Judd's)
Well, it's a girl's night out
Honey, there ain't no doubt
I'm gonna dance every dance 'til the boys go home
Well, it's my night to rock
No watchin' that ol' clock
Oh, ain't no doubt, Lordy it's a girl's night out

I'm A Little Pumpkin!

Another card using this fabulous image. I love coloring and this is a great image to to 'hone' my skills. I had fun playing with colors I don't use a lot of  (oranges). I also colored my brads for the center of the flowers and added Stickles for a bit of sparkle! I am too busy posting to find challenges just yet, but I will try later today.
My Song: (tune of I'm A Little Teapot)
I'm a little pumpkin
Orange and round.
Here is my stem,
I grew in the ground.
When I get all cut up,
Don't you shout!
Just open me up
And scoop me out!
(now that can stick in your head all day!) LOL & blessings to all!

Pastor Appreciation

October is pastor appreciation month. Our church gave our pastor a gift last Sunday and I was asked to make a card for it. I had this 'free' coloring book page image from Precious Momments. I thought it was the perfect image for this card. My lovely corner die was a gift from my sweet friend "Elaine". Isn't it pretty? Just a simple card for a special pastor! Have a great day filled with blessings!
I will have to look for a challenge or two that I can enter this card in.
My Song: Al Denson
She's daddy's little girlOnly three years old
All dressed up in her Sunday clothes
He held her hand on bended knee
He said I need to show you how to find your way home
As they walked along
How sweet the sound
Church bells ringin'
People gathered 'round
Remember this church
And the cross way up there
Sweetheart, if you ever get lost say
Take me to the cross
High upon a steeple
The one where Jesus died for all the lost people
If you can't find home
Know you're not alone
Take me to the cross

Life Is A Zoo!

I don't know why, but I love making Christmas cards. I think it might be the colors of Christmas that seem so bright and pretty. This cute little image is a Sugar Nellie  and I love it. I think I might have gone a little overboard on my 'glitter', but it was fun having all that sparkle flying about! I also used some fun flock...not so fun having it fly about as it makes me sniff and sneeze. My snowflakes are also covered with glitter, except for the one inside the spellbinders frame and it is iridescent. My sentiment is from LOTV and I love these sentiments. I used a red and glitter spica pen to add a bit of bling to the sentiment. I added some ribbon...and speaking of ribbon our sponsor for this challenge is
they have some yummy ribbons! Our Challenge this time at ABC is "Z" (I can't believe we have gone through the alphabet already!) ...back to"Z" for zoo! We want to see animals on your cards...not butterflies or bugs.....animals. I can't wait to see what you come up with! Also, don't forget the DT call for ABC....it is a great team to be a part of and I know you will love the fun challenges. Go to ABC's bolg and enter an "Anything Goes" card....blessings to you!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: If I Could Talk to The Animals
If I could talk to the animals, just imagine it,
Chattin' with a chimp in chimpanzee,
Imagine talking to a tiger, chatting with a cheetah,
What a neat achievement it would be!
If we could talk to the animals, learn their languages,
Maybe Take an animal degree,
I'd study elephant and eagle, buffalo and beagle,
Alligator, guinea pig, and flea!

"Love Beats All"

Isn't this a fun image. I thought it would make a cute anniversary card! You Can find this cute image at The Paper Shelter it is called "love bubbles".   I just noticed that I forgot to color one fin! YIKES! I will fix that before this card goes out! LOL! I added some pretty pearls for 'bubbles' and liquid glass to the bubble hearts. I added fairy dust glitter to the fins (well all but one) and google eyes. I framed the image with a spellbinders die and used a Spica pen to add a little sparkle. I hope you will join us at The Paper Shelter Challenge for the "Love Beat's All" challenge. Remember if you use a Paper Shelter image and win you will have a $30.00 dollar gift certificate to spend at the Paper Shelter....how fun is that? Hop on over to our challenge and check out the lovely entries by our DT and join the fun with your "love card"!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My song: As Time Goes By
You must remember this
A kiss is still a kiss, a sigh is just a sigh
The fundamental things apply
As time goes by
And when two lovers woo
They still say, "I love you"
On that you can rely
No matter what the future brings
As time goes by

Showing Appreciation--Warning long post!!

My High School Sunday School class that I lead wanted to show appreciation to everyone in our church who work hard in their service to the Lord. This is the first Sunday we started this and the teens chose the Praise Team to thank. Our Praise Team is one of the best and the beautiful music lifts your spirit each Sunday. This is the thank you cards that I made for the teens to give each member. I used the blue and orange combo as it is BSU school colors and each of the Praise Team are great Bronco fans! Each individual loved the teens thanking them and thought the cards captured their individual personalities. It is a blessing for me to see the kids pick someone each week to honor. I hope your week has started off with a blessing!
I am entering these cards at the following challenges:

My Song: As The Deer
As the deer panteth for the water
So my soul longeth after Thee
You alone are my heart's desire
And I long to worship Thee
You alone are my strength, my shield
To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my heart's desire
And I long to worship Thee

It's Fall!

Isn't this just the cutest image? I am so embarrassed as I just bought this and do you think I can find the name of it or where I bought it. I will continue to look as there are some really cute digi's there. I dug through my scrap box and pulled out these scraps to use on my card. I needed my dear friend Amanda here to choose paper for me! The dress is really an orange color but looks like a washed out red in my picture. I used a SU oval punch to make my pumpkin. Just a fun card to kick off fall. Have a blessed day.
My Song: American Heart
She's up before the sun, on the run
Another dollar, another day, another cup of coffee
Thank you Lord for giving me one more
She still leans on her dreams but it seems
Sometimes she's the only one who still believes
That life is hard, so she takes it on
With an American Heart

A Day of Fishing

I have always been a fan of the Stamp Fairy stamps so I was thrilled when they were the sponsor for ABC's new challenge. Our letter this time is "Y" so we are asking you to make a card for a guy! I fell in love with this little cutie called "Barry Fishing" . I hope you will all join us for this fun challenge. It is a great time to stock up on those 'guy' cards that we always need. I colored my image with Copics, added some twine and a dragon fly charm and some antique brads to finish off my card. Hop on over to the ABC challenge blog to join in the fun and to see the fabulous creations by the other members of my DT!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: I'm Gonna Miss Her
"Well, I love her, but I love to fish.
I spend all day out on this lake and hell is all I catch.
Today she met at the door, said I would have to choose.
If I hit that fishin' hole today,
she'd be packing all her things and she'd be gone by noon.
"Well, I'm gonna miss her, when I get home.”
