Do You Remember When?

A closer look at this cute image.
 Bingo cards from Whimsy Stamps
Some little crayon buttons  add to the school look!
This year will be my daughters "20" year class reunion. I really don't know where time has gone as it seems like just yesterday I was in tears as I waved good-bye to her as she went in the door of her kindergarten class room. So, when I saw this cute image from Saturated Canary I knew I would have to make a card for her. Doesn't she look like she is waiting for the bell to ring? I love the glasses also as I had to wear glasses in grade school as did my daughter. I added liquid glass to them to make them look more realistic and cute crayon buttons to add to the school look. If you look close you will see the ruled paper! I hope you enjoy this little walk down memory lane.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song: Do You Remember When?
Do you remember when we first met? I sure do.
It was some time in early September
You were lazy about it, you made me wait around
I was so crazy about you I didn't mind
I was late for class, I locked my bike to yours
It wasn't hard to find ‒ you painted flowers on it
I guess that I was afraid that if you rolled away
You might not roll back my direction real soon.
I was crazy about you then and now
The craziest thing of all,
Over ten years have gone by
And you're still mine,
We're locked in time
Let's rewind

Tammy Buccaneer

I made a quick little card with this cute little Saturated Canary image called Tammy Buccaneer. I had such a good time coloring her.  I used some scrap pieces from my basket to make this card and added some cute little pirate buttons to my card. A bit of paper lace from an old Martha Stewart punch and liquid pearls finish off my card. BTW  this image was a freebie for joining the facebook page. I hope you enjoy this card and are inspired to create today!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song: Yo-Ho It's a pirates life for me!
Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirate's life for me
We pillage, we plunder we rifle and loot
Drink up me hearties, yo ho
We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot
Drink up me hearties, yo ho
Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirate's life for me
We extort, we pilfer we filch and sack
Drink up me hearties, yo ho
Maraud and embezzle and even high-jack
Drink up me hearties yo ho
Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirate's life for me

"Just Peachy"

The minute I saw this lovely image from The Paper Shelter I knew it was going to be one of my favorites. (Yes, I know I say that far too often!) But you have to admit that this sweet little face is so lovely! I don't often use peach colors or oranges, but I must admit that if loved the look and will certainly try this combination in the future. Do you have a favorite color you find yourself reaching for time and time again?
I colored my image with Copics and added some lovely flowers from WOC. My paper came from an old $ store that closed years ago! (Yes! I am a paper hoarder!) My die cut is from Marianne Dies and it is a new one that I used for the first time. I added some Stickles and liquid pearls. I also added a few Stickle spots around the image.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song: You Are I Am
I've been the one to shake with fear
And wonder if You're even here
I've been the one to doubt Your love
I've told myself You're not enough
I've been the one to try and say
I'll overcome by my own shame
I've been the one to fall apart
And start to question who You are
You're the one who conquers giants
You're the one who calls out kings
You shut the mouths of lions
You tell the dead to breathe
You're the one who walks through fire
You take the orphan's hand
You are the one Messiah
You are I am
You are I am

One For The Boys....The Paper Shelter Challenge

I just had to laugh while I was coloring this cute image from The Paper Shelter. Last summer I took my grandsons to a place called "The Boondocks". It has all sorts of rides and games for the kids to play. My oldest grandson was finally big enough he could drive the go carts by himself. (Verses riding with his Grammy in one!) The smile on his face was much like this little guy. It was a fun day where memories were made. So, it is time for you to grab an image and play along with us and our challenge "One For The Boys". Lets see your boy cards...I know they are hard for me too! But, remember this is how we grow!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

She's my little deuce coupe
You don't know what I got

A Happy Easter!

A closer look at the lovely image.
 Cute little lamb buttons
 The inside of the card.
I hope everyone is enjoying a beautiful Easter Sunday. I am off to church to present our Children's Easter Program. I am so blessed this year as both my grandsons are in the program and our newest grandson will also be attending. All of my family will be together for dinner after church. I am looking forward to a fun day. I love Wee images and this newest image is no exception. She has the sweetest face and I couldn't wait to make her up in a card. My paper lace is from IO and the pretty butterflies are a plastic add on that I found at our local King's store.  Some pretty pearls and some lovely sentiments from Sweet & Sassy finish off my card.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
Rather than post a song I am going t post this little rhyme. It reflects my thoughts completely as to what should we do with Jesus!
Mary had a little lamb,
His fleece was as white as snow.
And everywhere that Mary went,
The Lamb was sure to go.
He followed her to school each day,
‘Twasn’t even in the rule.
He made the children laugh and play,
To have a Lamb at school.
And then the rules all changed one day,
Illegal it became;
To bring the Lamb of God to school,
Or even speak His Name.
Every day got worse and worse,
And days turned into years.
Instead of hearing children laugh,
We heard gunshots and tears.
What must we do to stop the crime,
That’s in our schools today?
Let’s let the Lamb come back to school,
And teach our kids to pray!

Amen! And God please forgive us and God bless America!

Viking Girl!

A closer look at the image!
Sometimes you see an image and you know that you will have lots of fun just coloring it. This image from THE PAPER SHELTER is one of those images. I love the sweet face and the fun details that make the image special. I colored her with Copics and added a bit of Spica pen for some sparkle. A touch of liquid glass to the 'ruby' jewels on her chest plate added a rich luster. Some pretty die cuts  and half pearls finished off this fun card!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song: (If I Had A Heart)  from the Vikings
This will never end
'Cause I want more
More, give me more
Give me more
If I had a heart I could love you
If I had a voice I would sing
After the night when I wake up
I'll see what tomorrow brings

Just As You Like

A closer look at the image!
The Marianne Design flowers and leaves  (die cuts)
The Marianne Design die cut frame!

The Inside of my card using a Marianne Design die cut for sentiment frame and the flower and leaves.

As you may have already guessed the challenge at ABC Challenges is "Just as You Like". So anything goes in this challenge. Our lovely sponsors are "Marianne Design" and "The Ribbon Girl". I hope you will check out both and see the lovely items they have to offer. I am using an older Magnolia image. I framed her with a Marianne Design die. The flowers and the leaves are also Marianne Design die cuts. I curled the petals on the flowers a bit and added some Stickles to the center and a pretty rhinestone brad  for some sparkle. The pretty ribbon has some cute little hearts on it. While it did not come from "The Ribbon Girl" I checked out their lovely selection and will soon be placing an order! The sentiment on the inside is a clear stamp I picked up at a close out bin at a local craft store. I framed it with a Marianne Design die and added another flower and leaf die cut. I hope this card inspires you to play along with our fun challenge. (If you look real close you will see the liquid pearls on the frame and on the dots on Tilda's outfit.  Have a blessed day.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Burl Ives (tells you how old I am!)
When the sun in the morning peeps over the hill
And kisses the roses 'round my window sill
Then my heart fills with gladness when I hear the trill
Of the birds in the treetops on Mockingbird Hill
Tra la la, tweedle dee dee dee
It gives me a thrill
To wake up in the morning
To the mockingbird's trill
Tra la la tweedle dee dee dee
There's peace and good will
You're welcome as the flowers
On Mockingbird Hill

She's A Lady

I may have mentioned my young friend that has been learning from me about card making and Scrapbooking. This was the first image we colored together. After we colored it she asked me what I would do with this card. I said that I was going to give it to a teen at church. She said, "Oh, no! You can't she looks like a hooker!" I had to laugh as I never thought anything like that when I colored it. soon we were giggling and laughing and I assured my friend that this was a lady! Isn't it funny how we all see things in a different way?  I love the red and black/white combination and think it makes a very classy card. I did add a little glitter to her purse and those cute leopard rhinestones! A red satin ribbon and bow finish off my card!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song: (Tom Jones)
Well she's all you'd ever want,
She's the kind they'd like to flaunt and take to dinner.
Well she always knows her place.
She's got style, she's got grace, She's a winner.
She's a Lady. Whoa whoa whoa, She's a Lady.
Talkin' about that little lady, and the lady is mine.

The Paper Shelter is sponsoring this challenge and I couldn't wait to color this lovely new image called My Fantasy Pet and can be found here! I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

"I" is for In A Line!

Good-morning everyone! I hope you are ready for an April Fool's day! It is also my DIL birthday. Happy Birthday TaCole I hope this year brings you happiness and many blessings. It is also time for another great challenge at ABC Challenge. Our letter is "I" for In A line. There is a bingo card that you can find on the ABC Challenge blog. For some reason blogger and I are having some difficulties and uploading the card on my blog was impossible. Our lovely sponsor is Sheri Baldy. I had a fun time coloring this cute little image and played with my pink and green combination a bit. I used a Memory Box die cut and the fussy cut the second one for the plaid insert in the heart. I added liquid glass to pop the heart (IRL it really does pop!) I hope you will join us for this fun challenge. Everyone loves a bingo game right?  My Bingo in a line is pearls, lace and flowers.
Here is a closer look at my card!

My Song: Someone To Watch Over Me
There's a saying old, says that love is blind.
Still we're often told "Seek and ye shall find."
So I'm going to go seek a certain lad I've had in mind.
Looking everywhere,
haven't found him yet.
He's the big affair
I cannot forget.
Only nan I ever think of with regret.
I like to add his initial to my monogram
Tell me, where is the shepherd for this lost lamb?
There's a somebody I'm longing to see.
I hope that he turns out to be
Someone Who'll Watch Over Me.
