"Another Birthday"

I love this LOTV image! When I was growing up, my mom wanted a 'girly' girl. I was not that girl. I was happy in jeans, t-shirt and my sneakers. I hated it when I had to wear a dress and 'act like a lady'! So, I can totally relate to the 'attitude' of this little miss. My mother was thrilled when I had a daughter that was a 'girly' girl! LOL. This is another Christmas gift and I am loving it. The lovely paper was also a gift (thanks Elaine, how will I ever repay you?) I wanted to really frill this card up so, I added three different lace boarders. I added some mulberry roses and pearls to finish off this card. That's it for today! Blessings to each of you!

Happy New Year!

This is one of those cards that just wouldn't come together for me. I am not sure where I went wrong, but I am not happy with the results. I do love the image and once again, send thanks to sweet Elaine. I am having so much fun with these stamps. I just love them. I may have to re-work this card and see if I can jazz it up. Anyway, I hope each of you have a safe and sane Happy New Year! Blessings to each of you.

"You Make Me Smile"

I am still playing with my Christmas gifts. I must admit that this is one of my favorite stamps. I think because she reminds me of myself many years ago in Jr. High School. From the knobby knees, standing toes pointed inward and the big glasses! Yes! That was definitely me! LOL! The image is a Sugar Nellie and she was a gift from my lovely friend across the pond (Elaine). Don't you just love her? The flowers are from my fun friend in PA. (Amanda).Thank you both and you both make me smile! I am having so much fun with those flowers.  the paper is just scraps that I have on hand. I followed the Mojo Monday sketch...well, sort of! Something got lost in the translation from my computer to my craft room. I have decided that I am not going to list all the products. I don't want to be an advertisement for companies. If I use something that I really like and I want to share that with you I will. If you have a question about what I use you can e-mail me and I will be happy to share that information with you. I hope everyone has a safe and blessed New Year's.

New Year Wishes!

Can you tell I have been playing today? I received this lovely stamp from my dear friend Elaine and I just couldn't wait to slap some ink on it. This stamp just makes me think of my daughter. (Even my husband said this when he saw my card. She has the long hair, big brown eyes and loves to go have a Latte. LOL! The image is from Sugar Nellie and I colored her with Copics. I cut her out with my new dies from Lifestyle Crafts. They are the greatest dies as there19 dies in .25" increments. The flower is from a Magnolia Die. Just a fun little thank you card to send my daughter for all she does to bless my life. How about you? Has your life been blessed?

Thank You To All My Friends And Family!

This Christmas I was once again reminded how blessed my life is. I have only been blogging since last May, but I have made some wonderful friends through my blog. I want to say thank-you to each of you for your encouragement, help and moral support as I have stumbled through blog land. You are each dear to me and I appreciate all you have done. This card was made with one of the wonderful stamps that my dear friend "Elaine" sent me. She knows my love of the "Sugar Nellie" stamps and she picked the most perfect selection for me.  The flowers are from my funny friend Amanda, she never fails to bring a smile to my face and the die frame is from Janie who is one of the sweetest persons I have ever met. She makes me want to be a better person. I would also like to mention Wendy, Patti, Linda, Glenda, Shirley, and Pam. I know I will leave someone out, so please forgive me for that. I look forward to getting to know new friends and more fun with the old. (One is silver and the other gold!)
Thank You each and everyone for blessing me in so many ways and a very Happy New Year!

"Hello"

This is the last of the four large h'Angler images I won from the wonderful "Elaine" (thanks Hal for drawing my name!) I wanted to do a fun card that could be used for anything. I have birthdays and a bunch of thank you cards that need to be done. I decided to do a generic one that I could use for anything. I framed my image with Nestabilities. I left the image outside of the frame, I love how that looks and draws attention to the image. I used dies to cut my decorative strips. I added a ribbon and my sentiment and my card face was complete.

"Shopping's Done!"

OK! I did say..."NO MORE CHRISTMAS CARDS"...but, I just had to do this one! LOL! I love this image from Kenny Kiernam. I know she looks so happy because her shopping is all done! How about you have you finished? I have and now if I can just get everything wrapped. The challenge at  http://kennykkraftygirlzchallenges.blogspot.com/ is to make a card with snow flakes! I used my fantastic new embossing folder from Janie to make the snow on my lavender card stock. I love that folder! Thanks Janie! then I colored my image with  Copics. I added my pine branch frame with a MS  boarder punch. I have this roll of sparkly, glittery stuff (my technical name) that I bought at a local craft store. I added it as a frame around my image. I added snow flake buttons and glitter for snow. I also used my crop-a-dile to add snow flakes to the white image paper. I am entering my card for fun as I am now on the DT and can not be in the challenges. I hope this card inspires you to play along with this fun challenge. You could win five digi images from Kenny k! Now go get your shopping done!

"Well Done!"

I think I am ready for spring as I am really leaning toward spring colors. I had a lot fun coloring this cute little digi. I used scrap pieces of paper and tried to force myself to use different colors than I normally do. Does anyone else find themselves reaching for the old reliable ones? I added stickles to the marshmallows and the little dragon's flame. My ticket was a freebie, I thought it went well with this image. Just a fun little card and my last today. LOL

My Last Christmas Card This Year!

This is my last Christmas card for 2010! I had all these little scraps of paper and I decided I would use them up. I used a (I think) Magnolia die cut and my Marianne Die for the snowflake. I also used a SU embossing folder...you are right Wendy, I do love this one. I used a corner punch to make my decorative  corners and add pearls and a Bow to finish of my simple little card. I love using up all those scraps. I just realized that I didn't get to color anything on this card. (sob!)

"h'Angler Card"

This is another of my cute little h'Angler faries. I just think they are the cutest little guys! I colored the image with Copics. and framed it with Nestablities. I inked the inside edges. . I used Martha Stewart punch around all my edges. I add a tab that I hand stitched and a button. I also added Stickles to the outside edge of the wings. The sentiment is from Heartfelt Creations.

Frosty The Snowman

It is such a cold dreary day today and I have been running hither and yon all week. So, I decided to spend the afternoon crafting. Joan's Gardens is having their last challenge for the year. I decided I wanted to do a card for it. My image is from Magnolia and I colored it with Copics. I received a wonderful package today from Janie at http://janiescreativecorner.blogspot.com/ she is one of the sweetest persons you could ever meet and she had included this lovely embossing folder in the package. I have been wanting it forever and have not been able to find it. Janie, I love it and I will somehow repay you for your kindness. Doesn't it make the cutest falling snow? I add flower soft to the bottom of the snow. Janie is the one who taught me how to use this product. I added Stickles to the star and the lantern, I also added glitter to the snowman's hat. On the front of the card I added mulberry roses and a little sticker that I had on hand.

My Daughter Creates Cards!

My daughter decided she wanted to make a few cards for her friends. After finding supplies for her I was BANNED from my craft room! I think there is something about a mother hovering over her and 'suggesting' things she might want to do that annoyed her. LOL! Anyway I did convince her to let me take pictures of her lovely creations and post them to my blog.

"Be My Friend"

This is another of the delightful h'Angler images. Isn't she a cutie? I wanted to dedicate this card to all the team members at Kenny K's Krafty Girls. (Forgive me for not using a Kenny K image) The team members have all been so kind and welcoming. I know that great friendships will be formed. So ladies I can't wait to Kraft with you. Thank you for all the kinds comments you have brightened my days. If you read the post just below this you will know why I wanted to do a bright sunny card. I colored this image with Copics (as usual) I added a bit of glitter to her wings they look very pretty in real life! The sentiment came with the set and the full sentiment says "Be my Honey". I added some half pearls and a tiny bow to finish off my card.

"Love Bug"

What a good day it has been for me. I feel so blessed by God today. We finally had an answer to prayer today. I also had some wonderful surprises come in the mail. This is one of the wonderful h'Anger images that I won from sweet Elaine at http://atechnophobesblog.blogspot.com/
Check out her blog and her fantastic candy she is offering. She is the sweetest person and always encourages others. Thank You Elaine (and Hal). I have been waiting for my 'EZ Mount' to arrive to use these stamps. When my package did arrive it was not 'EX Mount'. ARRRRH! So, another dear friend, Wendy took pity on me and gave me some of hers! Thank you Wendy, you know I love you! After that I get another package in the mail and my fun loving friend Amanda at http://atechnophobesblog.blogspot.com/ She has not been blogging long but she is so very talented that you are going to see a lot of her work! So.....after thanking God for the love he has blessed me with I shoved the ironing basket back from whence it came (hee-hee) and spent the day playing in my craft room. I colored the darling h'Angler with Copics. I framed her with Nestabilites and then added a little hand stitching. I added Spica pen to her wings but it really does not show that much in my picture. I added a couple of gold buttons and the sentiment is punched out with SU punches. Two heart eyelets finish off my card. Blessings to each of you!

"It's Going To Be One Of Those Days!"

Be honest! Did you ever do this? LOL! I had an older brother who paved the way to all kinds of experiences! Sorry Larry, I remember you doing this! This image is from Sassy Cheryl and it has to make you smile when you see it! Luke and Logan...don't try this at home! I colored the image with Copics and used scrap pieces of paper to make my card and my silver snowflakes are from the Dollar store...they are supposed to be tablecloth holders. But, they could not hold down a plastic table cloth in a slight breeze! Just a fun little winter card. Hope you like it!

"Naughty or Nice?"

Friday I have lunch with a special group of friends. Lou Ann, one of those forever friends, will be there and this card is for her husband. He has often been the center of our jokes over the years. I am hoping this card will bring a smile to his face...I know it will Lou Ann's. LOL! The image on the face of my card is from Kenny K's. I also did this card for their fabulous challenge which is 'Monochromatic'.  I think they are always fun to do. The image is called "Cheyenne" and was perfect for this card.
I colored my image with Copics and added a little Spica pen. The sentiment is a free digi, sorry I don't know who to give credit. I used a MS boarder punch, and my new die-namics die (Thanks sweet Amanda!) I added a mulberry rose from Lily of the Valley and half pearls (again Amanda see her wonderful little blog at http://cardscatsandcopics.blogspot.com/ she makes the cutest cards)! I popped on a sheer blue ribbon to finish the front face of my card. The inside digi is one I have used quiet often, it is called "Alice Stumblethorp" but sorry, can't tell you where I got her either (I must get better organized on my digi art!) The sentiment is computer generated. One more Christmas card that will hopefully bring a smile to a great friends face! Blessings to each of you!

"Hanging The Stockings"

When I learned that I was the winner of a free digi from Mo Manning I was so jazzed! I love Mo's digi art! She is able to capture the moments in our lives that we remember. This digi called 'hanging stockings' is my winners choice. It brought back so many memories for me. I colored my image with Copics, added some Spica pen for sparkle and I added some glitter to the stockings. The snowflakes came from a garland from the Dollar Store. The garland was really ugly, but it had the prettiest iridescent card stock doves. So I bought the garland and punched the snowflakes with my Mari Anne die, they really look elegant and have amazing sparkle. The inside sentiment is from SU and the boarder is a MS punch. I add a glitzy stocking to finish off my card. Thanks to Mo's for my free digi! I love it and will use it many times in the future! The movie I am thinking of for this card is "The Night Before Christmas"

Ooops! #2

If you scroll down and read the prior entry you will know why this is Ooops #2. I used a SU embossing folder, a Magnolia boarder die, MS lace punch and boarder punch. I added half pearls and ribbon to finish off the card. I colored the image with Copics and framed it with a Nestablility die a little spica pen on the buttons and a white gel pen for the steam from the hot drink finish off my card! Hopefully this will be the last mistake I make....this year! LOL!

OOOOPS!

It is bad enough that I created one card that I thought was going to be for the Sugar Bowl DT challenge and then to find out I used the WRONG image, but I also created two cards! UGH....and I don't have any of the Sweet Sassy images that I was supposed to use. Note to self...do not scribble Sugar Nellie all white on a paper and think I will do something correctly! LOL! I think I will just enjoy the fact that I spent my entire afternoon creating and leave it at that! As you can see this card has lots of texture! I started off with a SU embossing folder. I can't remember the name of it, but I do love it! I then used a MS lace punch. I used my Heartfelt Creations flower dies to punch out my flowers. I then ran the flowers through another SU embossing folder to add texture to the flowers. I layered the flowers with dimensionals and added white buttons. I colored my image (which is a Sugar Nellie) with Copics. I added a little Spica pen to the center of the flowers. The challenge was to be all white except for the the image which is the only thing that can have color on it. Except for one minor detail I think I achieved that, don't you?

"For He Loves Us"

This is my second entry for Joan's Garden Challenge. If you read the entry below this one you will find all the information about this challenge or go to:
This card uses Heartfelt Creations verses and dies! I embossed my verses. I don't emboss often as I don't feel I am very good at it. But this script is so elegant I just had to give it a try. I punched out my flowers with the Heartfelt dies. I then added a pearl brad to the center of each flower. A ribbon, and half pearls finish off my cards. Be sure and check out the fantastic design teams cards on the blog hop. You will be amazed at the wonderful talent and inspiration they provide.

Cast Your Burden

I completed the most FANTASTIC blog hop this morning. Joan's Garden (you can find it here: http://joanscreations.blogspot.com/ ) has one of the most talented group of guest designers you could ever hope for (she was missing one Patty though!)LOL! Heartfelt Creations is donating the best prize I have ever seen on a blog hop!  Heartfelt Creations have many matching stamps and die cuts. They are of the highest quality you can find. If you have never done business with Joan, you will find she is the sweetest and the best. As I was digging through my stamps and dies I came across this Heartfelt stamp and die and knew it was the one I wanted to use for my entry in Joan's challenge. Often at Christmas, along with the sentimental side of Christmas there is also those who are hurting and Christmas means a time of sadness. This verse serves to remind each of us that we need to remember that God is in control and He alone will carry us through.  May the Lord sustain you through this Christmas season.
My verse and my flowers are from Heartfelt Creations. I stamped the flowers and then cut them out with the matching die. I added tiny white snowflakes to the center of the flowers to make them more "Christmasie" (love that word). I used a Nestability to cut out the verse and frame. I added a gingham bow and popped my flowers with foam. I am entering this card at the following challenges:

"With Sympathy"

One of the greatest blessings I have had in my life is being a youth leader at my church. I had some wonderful kids who participated in our group. One in particular touched my life in so many ways. Salina grew up and married a wonderful young man Tyler. You can imagine how thrilled everyone was when they announced at our church's Thanksgiving dinner that they were expecting their first baby. A few days later we found out they had lost their baby. I wanted to let them know how much they are loved and how sorry I was at their loss. This is the card I created for them. I hope it will bless them in a small way to know I care.

"You Are Precious in His Sight"

This is one of my favorite Kenny K images, you can tell she might be just a bit sassy! I colored her with Copics. I added a little hand stitched to the card and used a MS boarder punch one each side of the card to make it look frilly! Three roses and a sentiment finished off my card. I am entering this card at the following challenges:

"Joy Is In Us!"

It has snowed all day at out house! So, needless to say it was difficult for me to get a good picture of this card. I made this card for the "Totally Tilda Challenge". The challenge is to use "Gold". I don't know why but 'gold' is difficult for me to take a good picture of. I followed the Mojo Monday sketch for my card. I colored my image with Copics. I added a little gold Spica pen to various areas on the image. I hand stitched her cross stitch down the front of her jacket. Her hair really is quite dark but looks blue in the photo....another trick of the camera? LOL. I added snow flake buttons and a little lace and ribbon to finish off my card.

"Sugar Bowl Challenge"

The Sugar Bowl is having a challenge, so I am experimenting with my 'white on white' cards. This is my first attempt and it is OK, but not what I want for my entry. I colored the image with Copics and added a little Spica pen to give her some bling. I also add some polk-a-dots with a gel pen. I framed her with a Nestability and used my crop-a-dile to add snow flakes. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on the background paper and a MS boarder punch on the edges. My sentiment if from Close To My Heart and is framed with SU punches. I added lace and a bow to finish of my white on white card!I am entering this card at the following challenges:

Swirls!

This is definitely a non traditional colored card for Christmas or for winter. I wanted it to look happy and fun and warm! It has snowed all day and I have watched the neighbor kids playing, sledding and having fun....while I shoveled snow! LOL!  This cute little image from Mo Manning just makes you feel happy! I colored the image with Copics. I added the pink swirls that I cut out with my Cricut. Two little pink tinged roses completed this fun little card. I am entering this card at the following challenges:

"Season's Greetings"

If you have followed my blog for very long you know that I love to used up scrap pieces of paper on my cards. This card is just that! The red card stock I had used a Nestie and a Marianne snowflake die on. It was the perfect piece to frame this Mo Manning image. I used a MS boarder punch to add a lacy boarder. I colored the image with Copics, added glitter to the fur on the hat and a Spica to the snaps on the p.j.'s. I added a white button snow flake to the center of the cut out and a red pearl to the button. The sentiment is from SU. This is a fun little card that kept a little piece of red card stock from going to waste! I am entering this card at the following challenges:

Mo Manning's Design Team

Warning this is a long post! Mo Manning is having a DT call. I have loved Mo Manning's digi art for several years now. So, you can imagine why becoming a member of this fabulous DT would be a dream come true. Now for the really hard part. I was supposed to create a card using my favorite image. That is so hard for me as my favorite image is the one I am using to make a card on that particular day. So, I made these cards in the last two days. (Yes! In between shopping, cleaning house and making pies!) Now, I have to pick which one to submit. I am hoping each of you who are so sweet to follow my blog will tell me which card you like the best and which one you think I should submit! Thanks for your help! Have a blessed Thanksgiving! A personal note to my family that I can't be with. I love each of you and you will be in thoughts and as always in my heart. I hope we can be together soon. I love you!
