Animal Magic

For those of us who love animals this weeks challenge at THE PAPER SHELTER is going to be loads of fun for you and you could win a fabulous prize to boot! I needed another of those darn guy cards and thought this image would fit the bill perfectly. I wasn't totally happy with the colors on my Rottweiler but is a fun card so I think it will work. I added some liquid glass to his teeth, slobber and the cute boys teeth. a bone sticker and a simple ticket sentiment made this a quick and easy card for me!

Let's Hear It For The Boys!

I am trying to get a few 'guy' cards made up for my stash. I always struggle with guy cards. I do love using these cute little images and they are fun to color. I added some cute little frog buttons and a gingham ribbon. I also thought some google eyes for the frog would be fun. I used a tiny amount of  liquid pearls on the shoe strings and IRL they look like the real deal. I also added a bit of Stickles to the net.  A fun little card for the birthday stash.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
My Song: (my favorite)
My Jesus, my Savior
Lord there is none like you
All of my days, I want to praise
The wonders of your mighty love
My comfort, my Shelter
Tower of refuge and strength
Let every breath, all that I am
Never cease to worship you
Shout to the Lord, all the earth
Let us sing.
Power and majesty, praise to the king.
Mountains bow down and the seas will roar
At the sound of your name
I sing for joy at the works of your hands
Forever I'll love you, forever I'll stand
Nothing compares to the promise I have in you

Another Snow Day

This card is for my Grandson Luke. He is always a helper and would gladly shovel snow for me or any other job that he can help me with. He is a blessing to me in so many ways. This is a Mo Manning image and I colored him with Copics. I added just a touch of Stickles for snowfall and glitter to the snow on the ground.
I added a little liquid glass to the handle and his snow boots. I added  tow wooden snowflakes that I stacked and then added liquid pearls for additional accents.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song: (This is Luke's song)
You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy, when the skies are grey
You'll never know dear
How much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away.

Here Comes The Sun?

I don't know about your neck of the woods, but in mine it has been a long time since we have seen the sunshine. Dark, dreary days are not my favorite and so I decided to make a card that reminded me of summer. I colored this cute image from SC. I really had no plan when I stared coloring this image but I must admit I like the end results. I also wanted to used my new Memory Box Die. With some flowers from WOC I think it made a pretty summer scene. Don't you? I am still experimenting with hair and coloring it is a challenge for me. All of my paper is scraps but it worked well together on this card. I hope your day is filled with sunshine and blessings!

Snow...Oh,No!

 My Card

A closer look at the image
My pretty dies
 tag sentiments\
This is another cute image from Mo Manning. I have been telling my grandsons that they are getting big enough to shovel snow for me. Luke (8 years) the oldest is always willing to help me but Logan (6 years) would rather play than actually shovel snow. LOL! I thought this cute little image would put a smile on his face. They both still like to get mail from Grammy! I was happy to use my new dies from Memory Box. I love these pretty little bow tie snowflakes. I added some glitter to them and a pretty light green pearl to the center. A little liquid glass for the shovel handle, and glitter for the snow helped to set the snow scene. Some tag sentiments and liquid pearls finish off this fun card. hope your week is filled with blessings!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song: Logan's Cupcake Song

Fisher's of Men

A couple of years ago I bought 100 images on a special close out deal. I wish I knew where it was (No, I don't keep good records of my digi images!) But, this is one of the images. Isn't he just the cutest? These images make the nicest guy cards for both the little and big guys. Since I am always in need of 'guy' birthday cards I worked ahead and made a few for my stash. I added a bit of Spica pen to the fish and the fishing line. Some liquid pearls to the corners added a nice touch. I used some hemp and an eyelet to add some visual interest and cute little buttons for an added touch. My sentiments are bingo cards from Whimsy Stamps. Just a fun little card for the stash!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song: Fisher's of Men
Rise and follow me
I'll make you worthy
Rise and follow me
I'll make you fishers of men.
Peter, John, and James
Could never be the same
After they heard him say
I'll make you fishers of men.

Happy Birthday Steve!

Today is my DH Steve's birthday! He is a no fuss type of guy and doesn't eat cake. It makes it a challenge to make his day special! I picked this card to let him know that I feel so lucky to have him in my life. So Happy Birthday Steve, I hope your day is a great one!
This image is "Paddy" from Manning. He is a favorite of mine. I kept the card simple with some pretty sparkle gems and a sheer blue bow.  I also added some liquid pearls to the buttons on his suspenders and a bit of Spica pen on the cloverleafs to add sparkle!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: The Beatles
There were bells on a hill
But I never heard them ringing
No, I never heard them at all
Till there was you
There were birds in the sky
But I never saw them winging
No, I never saw them at all
Till there was you
Then there was music and wonderful roses
They tell me in sweet fragrant meadows
Of dawn and dew
There was love all around
But I never heard it singing
No, I never heard it at all
Till there was you

"F" is for flowers!

Oh, my! I don't know what happened with this posting but it looks like it dropped my wonderful witty words! So what you are reading now is a second go round. I am quiet pleased tat I will have a plither of cards for Christmas! (Don't you love that word?) Our challenge this week at ABC Challenge is  "F" for flowers. I always love adding flowers to a card and this floral arrangement was a fun one for me with the Christmas theme. I added some pretty little jingle bells as an accent to the flowers. Liquid glass gives the jingle bells on my stamped image a great deal more depth as does the puffy paint on the fur trim of Tilda's hat! So grab your flowers and join our challenge this week at ABC Challenge! Our lovely sponsor this week is Stamp and Create They have such a lovely selection of images you will be delighted.  Be sure and check out my team mates lovely work and don't forget we have a DT call going on!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song:  Sleigh Ride
Just hear those sleigh bells jingling,
Ring ting tingling too
Come on, it's lovely weather
For a sleigh ride together with you
Outside the snow is falling
And friends are calling "yoo hoo",
Come on, it's lovely weather
For a sleigh ride together with you.

(We have had enough snow to do this!)

A little Valentine

This little digi image is from LS I won it in a challenge and decided to give her a go at coloring as it was appropriate for Valentine's Day. I used a scrap of paper that I thought looked lovely with my colors. The ribbon came from our local $ store. It is a really soft ribbon and made it challenge to make my bow look perky! I added some pretty rhinestone hearts. A bit of Spica pen added to the hearts on the basket gave them a bit of sparkle. Stickles on the hearts on  the patches and liquid glass on the center of the flower finished off this fun card! I hope your Valentine's Day was filled with love and you shared some along the way!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song: The Beatles

Love, love me do
You know I love you
I'll always be true
So please, love me do
Whoa, love me do

Sending You Love

My Card!
Happy Valentine's Day! I hope your day is a wonderful one filled with love and joy. I had to  color up this cute SC image for a Valentine greeting for my daughter. I think this little image just oozes with personality. I used scrap pieces from my scarp box and IO die for the  lace. I added liquid glass to all the hearts, including those in her pocket. A bit of stardust pen to the dots around her and my card is finished.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
My Song: The Beatles
Close your eyes and I'll kiss you
Tomorrow I'll miss you
Remember I'll always be true
And then while I'm away
I'll write home every day
And I'll send all my loving to you
I'll pretend that I'm kissing
The lips I am missing
And hope that my dreams will come true
And then while I'm away
I'll write home every day
And I'll send all my loving to you
All my loving I will send to you
All my loving, darling I'll be true

Be My Valentine!

I love this adorable image from THE PAPER SHELTER! I love using it as often as I can because it is so much fun for me to color. I instantly knew it would be the one I would use for our fun "Be My Valentine" challenge. I had the image go outside my die cut so she could stand on my cute little glittery heart. I added some liquid pearls, Spica pen and a touch of liquid glass to her button. some pretty paper lace from IO and Cherry Lynn dies and some pretty pearl hearts finished off my Valentine Card. Be sure and join the fun and get your Valentine cards made for that special someone!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song:
Would you be content to see me crying
After all those little games you put me through
After all I've done for you you're lying
Wouldn't it be nice to tell the truth
Didn't somebody somewhere say
You're gonna take a fall
I gave you everything
Now here's the curtain call
Shot through the heart as I lay there alone
In the dark through the heart
It's all part of this game that we call love

Miss those challenges!

If you are wondering about the title of my post i ts is because I miss the SC challenges! I have most of the SC images and looked forward to the challenges. But, they have discontinued the challenges. Just took the fun away for me. LOL! I needed a birthday card for a special friend who always talks about being afraid of the dark. I thought this card fit her perfectly. Plus, she loves pink! I added a bit of Stickles to the flame on the candle for some sparkle. I am sure that little light doesn't do much to alleviate the dark from the look on this little ladies face. So you like those pretty beaded flower buttons? I found them at a local store and just loved them. All of my DP is from my never ending scrap box. Sometimes it is so hard to use up those bits and bobbles of paper. An older MS punch and a scrap of ribbon finished off my card.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song: This Little Light of Mine
There’s a little flame inside us all
Some shine bright, some shine small
The rains will come and the waters rise
But don’t you ever lose your light
In this life you will know
Love and pain, joy and sorrow
So when it hurts, when times get hard
Don’t forget whose child you are
This little light of mine
I’m gonna let it shine
This little light of mine
I’m gonna let it shine, gonna let it shine

Just A Little Blarney for You!

I have to admit that the first time I saw this cute little guy from Mo Manning he stole my heart. His name is Paddy and he can be found here. You just hope his four leaf clovers bring him good luck! I colored this cute image with Copics and then dug through my scrap box for papers. I kept this card CAS....really tough for me but I wanted the image to be the focal point. I used a ticket sentiment and chose to make this a birthday card rather than a "St. Paddy's card". I think it will make a great birthday card. Hope your week is going well and blessings are coming your way!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song: Danny Boy
Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side
The summer's gone, and all the roses falling
'Tis you, 'tis you must go and I must bide.

Don't Take Your Guns to Town

I know I am going to get in trouble with the image police over this card, but I really needed a cowboy card for a young boy at church and I had this stamp of Edwin, but  I did not want the cigarette on the card. I was really disappointed when  Magnolia came out with this stamp and it featured a cigarette. I think he is much cuter without it don't you? So....here is my cute little cowboy card with Edwin who will live to fight another day! I kept this card CAS (believe me this is CAS for me!) I added a ticket sentiment and a 'rope' made of hemp thread. Just a fun way to wish a special little guy Happy Birthday!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song: Johnny Cash
A young cowboy named Billy Joe grew restless on the farm
A boy filled with wonderlust who really meant no harm
He changed his clothes and shined his boots
And combed his dark hair down
And his mother cried as he walked out
Don't take your guns to town son
Leave your guns at home Bill
Don't take your guns to town

Sunshine Girl

It was such a dreary, cold, dark week here that I needed to add a little sunshine  with this bright card! I am really having fun coloring this image from SC and I added some lovely flowers from WOC and a pretty sheer bow. Some little touches of Stickles around the image for some pretty sparkle and I have a quick, fun, sunny card! Hope your day is filled with sunshine and blessings!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song:
We'll sing in the sunshine
We'll laugh every day
We'll sing in the sunshine
And I'll be on my way
I will never love you
The cost of love's too dear
But though I'll never love you
I'll live with you one year

Ah...those lovely embellishments

It is time for a fun challenge at ABC! This time around we are asking you to use embellishments. Something we all love and have lots of! Right? Our lovely sponsor this week is Kenny K. I chose this fun image as I wanted to make a card for one of the teen girls at church. I thought she would like this! I added some pretty paper lace and put some pretty pink rhinestones, pink pearls, a pink satin flower with a pink sheer flower in the center. Some dots of Stickles around the image made it more eye catching. I hope you will join us for this fun challenge and a chance to win some fabulous images. Be sure and stop by and see my teammates beautiful cards they are breathtaking!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Faith Hill
They said change your clothes
She said no I won't
They said comb your hair
she said some kids dont
and her parents dreams went up in smoke
They said she can't leave
She said yes I will
They said don't see him
She said his name is Bill
She's on a roll and its all uphill
She's a wild one with an angels face
She's a woman-child
In the state of grace
When she was three years old on her daddy's knee
he said you can be anything you want to be
she's a wild one running free
