Hey There Lonely Girl!

I love this cute image. She came with a package deal of 100 digi's I bought several years ago. She is from the Swings and Slides portion. I love the sweet stamps on this and I wish I knew who the artist was to give her/him credit. I like that I can use this image for just about anything or any age. I colored her with Copics and add some liquid pearls around the stamp. I also added  liquid glass to the hearts on her shoes, skirt, and top. The cute little tag is from a sticker pack and the wooden heart I have had for a bit and was just waiting to use it on the right card. The sentiment is from Sweet N Sassy.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Hey There Lonely Girl (Eddie Holman)
Hey there lonely girl, lonely girl
Let me make your broken heart like new
Oh, my lonely girl, lonely girl
Don't you know this lonely boy loves you
Ever since he broke your heart you seem so lost
Each time you pass my way
How I long to take your hand
And say don't cry, I'll kiss your tears away
Hey there lonely girl, lonely girl
Let me make your broken heart like new
Oh my lonely girl, lonely girl
don't you know this lonely boy loves you

We'll can sing in the sunshine!

I love this stamp from The Paper Shelter she is called "Sunshine"!
I think she is so cute and she is so much fun to color. I know some of you only color an image once but I don't mind using them over and over, if I like them. I have a feeling this will be one you will see more of! I usually don't use a lot of orange as it has never been a favorite color of mine, but I had this dp and I wanted to use it so I went with the peach and orange combo. I actually liked how it turned out.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: We Sang In the Sunshine (Gale Garnett)
We'll sing in the sunshine
We'll laugh every da-a-y
We'll sing in the sunshine
Then I'll be on my way
I will never love you
The cost of love's too dear
But though I'll never love you
I'll stay with you one year
And we can sing in the sunshine
We'll laugh every da-a-y
We'll sing in the sunshine
Then I'll be on my way

You Gotta Have Friends!

I know that most of us have some 'special' friends that are always there for you, that make you laugh, and no matter how long you are apart you can pick up right where you left off. They are friends for life. Wendy Little is one of those friends for me. She is an extra-ordinary person, one that reaches out to help anyone she can. Unfortunately, she and her husband relocated to another state. Although we don't get to see each other as much as we like we still manage to sneak in a few visits as often as we can. She is also the person who started me card making! I don't think she realized what a monster she created. I recently sent her this card. It is pretty indicative of our friendship and the fun we have with each other.  I loved this stamp and it's funny sentiment and it will be one I use often.
I colored the stamp with Copics and made my own flower embellishments. I loved doing that!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: You Gotta Have Friends (Bette Midler)
And I am all alone
There is no one here beside me
And my problems have all gone
There is no one to deride me
But you got to have friends
The feeling's oh, so strong
You got to have friends
To make that day last long
I had some friends but they're gone
Somethin' came and took them away
And from the dusk 'til the dawn
Here is where I'll stay
Standing at the end of the road, boys
Waiting for my new friends to come
I don't care if I'm hungry or poor
I'm gonna get me some of them
'Cause you got to have friends
That's right you, oh you, yeah you
I said, you gotta have some friends
I'm talkin' about friends, that's right, friends
Friends, friends, friends

A Little Birthday Wish!

It has been a rough week around here. My SIL just found out she has cancer throughout her body, it started in the breast, spread to the lymph glands and thyroid, spread to the bones, stomach, and now the brain. I am ready to escape in my craft room and to reflect on how fortunate and blessed I am.  My sweet husband is sending me to visit a friend in Washington and my friend and I will be attending a scrapbook convention.  I am really looking forward to a few days of  escape!
It is time for another "Anything Goes Challenge" at Inspiration Destination. Our gracious sponsor this week is the ever fabulous "Bugaboo Stamps" This cute little stamp is called  "Bbrat Girl Balloon Sitter" and she can be found here. I had some very pretty lace that I had picked up from a sale bin at JoAnn's Fabric, I think I must have kept for over a year just so I could use it on just the perfect card. I added the purple ribbon down the center and tiny rhinestones in the center of each lace flower. Some pretty purple rhinestones from Queen and Company added some extra sparkle to my fun card!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song: Beautiful Things (Gungor)
All this pain
I wonder if I'll ever find my way?
I wonder if my life could really change at all?
All this earth
Could all that is lost ever be found?
Could a garden come up from this ground at all?
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us

Another Fun Challenge!!

It is time to play in another "Anything Goes" challenge at Inspiration Destination. This week our fabulous sponsors are Fabrika Fantasy and Morgan's ArtWorld!
My first card has a stamp from Fabrika Fantasy and is called Winter Games 2!
This stamp is a fun color and there are actually three stamps that could be used to make a gift set of cards for Christmas! My paper is from my box of "I will use this sometime". You know the paper you put aside from a pad because you really don't care for it or it never seems to go with anything pile! By keeping my leaves a softer blue/gray and the poinsettias white it worked for this card! I love the way it turned out.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My next card I used a stamp from Morgan's ArtWorld
and is named Cameo 13 .
You can click on any or all of the links to check out these fabulous stores.

A friend gave me a LARGE box of mulberry paper. The sheets of paper are about 36" long and 24" wide. They are all beautiful rich colors. I thought this sheet went perfectly with this image. I turned a fence die cut on it's side and used it to frame my stamp. Some pretty felt flowers from Queen and Co. pick up the colors I used in my card. Both cards were fun to make and I want to thank our fabulous sponsors for giving our DT these images to use! So hop on over to Inspiration Destination Challenge blog and join in on the fun!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: There Will Be A Day (Jeremy Camp)
I try to hold on to this world with everything I have
But I feel the weight of what it brings, and the hurt that tries to grab
The many trials that seem to never end, His word declares this truth
That we will enter in this rest with wonders anew
But I hold on to this hope and the promise that He brings
That there will be a place with no more suffering
There will be a day with no more tears
No more pain, and no more fears
There will be a day when the burdens of this place
Will be no more, we'll see Jesus face to face
But until that day, we'll hold on to you always

"Charmed"!

I love this cute pizza maker. I never make a card with him that I don't smile. It is time for another fun challenge at THE PAPER SHELTER! This time it is just plain easy. We want to see a charm on your cards! But please don't forget if you use one of THE PAPER SHELTER'S stamps you could win $30  in product from their store. It is a great deal and you will find something for everyone on your cards to make list!
My charm is really supposed to be a piece of pie, but I thought it might ? look like a piece of pizza! I also added some liquid pearls for his buttons on his shirt.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: I'm Into Something Good (Herman's Hermits)
Woke up this morning feelin' fine
There's something special on my mind
Last night I met a new girl in the neighborhood, whoa yeah
Something tells me I'm into something good
(Something tells me I'm into something)

A Birthday Card!

A look at my card!

A look at the inside of my card!
Just when I declare I am not going to get another stamp I see one that tugs at my heart and I just "have" to have it. LOL! That is what I thought when I first spied this sweet stamp from Mo Manning. My paper is the very last of a pack from SU that I have hoarded for years. I loved this paper and wish I had bought more of it.  I added a pretty lace bow from lace I purchased at JoAnn's. My sentiments are from Sweet and Sassy.  Just a fun little birthday card to brighten someone's day!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
Linky #9

My Song: I Still Believe In You (Vince Gill)
Everybody wants a little piece of my time
But still I put you at the end of the line
How it breaks my heart to cause you this pain
To see the tears you cry fallin' like rain
Give me the chance to prove
And I'll make it up to you
I still believe in you
With a love that will always be
Standing so strong and true
Baby I still believe in you and me

"H" Is For Heavy!

A closer look at the stamped image!
The right inside of my card!
The left inside of my card!
 One more look!

Good morning fellow bloggers! I hope each of you are enjoying a beautiful spring day! I love the longer days and the robins greeting each day with a song.  I hope all of this will put you in the mood to join us at ABC Challenge! This challenge is one of my favorites! Our letter is "H" for heavy! Our lovely sponsor is Marianne Design and we would like to see your entries loaded down with die cuts from Marianne Design! I love die cuts. All the intricate cuts enhance my cards and scrapbook pages so much. I wish I was better at manipulating dies but since I'm not, I am grateful to have the dies I do have and just being able to use them. On the front of my card I have used two separate dies. The first is the flowers which were created with the Marianne's Creatables Flower Doily. The die cut at the bottom of my card is a Marianne's Creatables Ribbon Boarder. The lovely image is from Lemon Shortbread Stamps   I love the stamps I have found by this artist! Copics in the "RV" range were used to color this image. The beautiful swirl on the inside of my card is Anja's Border Elegant! Isn't it beautiful? The die cut framing the sentiments is the doily part of the Marianne's Creatables Flower Doily. I used some pretty half rhinestones from Queen and Co. to add sparkle to my card and a pretty sheer ribbon and bow to finish it off. The sentiments are from Sweet and Sassy. I hope you will join us for this fun challenge!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Little Toy Guns (Carrie Underwood)
In between the coats in the closet
She held on to that heart shaped locket
Staring at a family flawless
But it ain't a pretty picture tonight
Mom and daddy just won't stop it
Fightin' at the drop of the faucet
Cuts through the walls catastrophic
She's caught in the crossfire
Puts her hands over her ears
Starts talking through the tears
She's saying, she's praying.
I wish words were like little toy guns
No sting, no hurt no one, just a bang bang
Rolling off your tongue (I wish words were like little toy guns)
Yeah, no smoke, no bullets
No kick from the trigger when you pull it, no pain, no damage done
(I wish words were like little toy guns)
And just a bang bang rolling off your tongue
(I wish words were like little toy guns)

A new Challenge at Inspiration Destination

It is time for another challenge at at Inspiration Destination! Our fabulous sponsor this week is "The Cutting Cafe".
I was concerned about this challenge as I do not have a silhouette or any other cutting machine that would work. But our DT leader Ema told me not to worry that I could print the template and just cut it by hand. Sounds simple right? Of course, I had to pick one that had a multitude pieces to it! Lol! But, this will prove that if I can do it any one can as I am not the most talented techi  person. I will say that the instructions and the printed template are clear and concise!  I chose the "Suitcase File". Below are the pictures of my end results.

The finished suitcase!
 The inside view
A closer look I added a pocket to the lid to place a gift card in!
A look at the latch, I used a large half pearl to slide into the paper latch!
 The backside of the suitcase.
I used the cardboard off the back of a tablet for the handle. Next time I will use chipboard as this kept pulling away as the layers pulled off.
I used ribbon for the bands around the suitcase. This is from a spool of ribbon that I have had for several years! The buckle slides are from Stamping Up and they are about five years old!
As you can tell this project took me a great deal of time and I kept thinking of ways to to better decorate my box. All in all it was a fun project and I will use it to give some craft supplies to a friend. I hope you will take time to check out "The Cutting Cafe" they have such a large selection to choose from and so many fun projects to choose from.  I can't wait to see what your entry will be for this challenge! Remember it is always 'Anything Goes'!
I am entering this project at the following challenges:
My Song: Leaving on a Jet Plane (John Denver)
All my bags are packed
I'm ready to go
I'm standin' here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye
But the dawn is breakin'
It's early morn
The taxi's waitin'
He's blowin' his horn
Already I'm so lonesome
I could die
So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go
'Cause I'm leavin' on a jet plane
Don't know when I'll be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go

In the Pink!

I would hope everyone's day is starting off better than mine! I woke up around 3:30 AM and could not go back to sleep. I thought I would work on some postings. But, I keep getting a message from blogger that my 'blog does not exist'. I am not a technical person so these things really throw me. So, this is a quick post just to see if I can post something today! This cute stamp was in a 100 digi bundle that I bought several years back.  (Or at least I think it is!) She is such a fun color and I kept the embellishments to  just a few. I added a pretty floral tag that I have had for several years and a pretty wooden heart that I just purchased. A sheer ribbon and bow and some liquid pearls finish off this card.

My Song: When You Believe (Whitney Houston)
Many nights we prayed
With no proof anyone could hear
In our hearts a hope for a song
We barely understood
Now we are not afraid
Although we know there's much to fear
We were moving mountains
Long before we knew we could, whoa, yes
There can be miracles
When you believe
Though hope is frail
Its hard to kill
Who knows what miracles
You can achieve
When you believe somehow you will
You will when you believe

"Love Is In The Air"

The Inside of my card...on it's side!
Good-morning! I hope you are enjoying a beautiful spring day. It is nice to see winter being put to bed and spring beginning to flaunt her colors. The card that I chose for our challenge at "The Paper Shelter" was my husbands birthday card. Even though his birthday was in February I saved posting it for the "Love Is In The Air" challenge. I hope you will join in on the fun and the chance to win a fabulous prize! Remember if you use one of the wonderful Paper Shelter images you could win up to $30 in prizes. So pick your fun Paper Shelter stamp and  enter today! My image is "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" and can be found here!
I wanted the people to be our age so I colored them with grey hair.  I really think it makes them fun! I kept the card simple as it was for my husbands birthday and I didn't want it to be 'girly'.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" Frankie Valli
You're just too good to be true
I can't take my eyes off you
You'd be like heaven to touch
I wanna hold you so much
At long last love has arrived
And I thank God I'm alive
You're just too good to be true
Can't take my eyes off you
Pardon the way that I stare
There's nothing else to compare
The sight of you leaves me weak
There are no words left to speak
But if you feel like I feel
Please let me know that is real
You're just too good to be true
I can't take my eyes off you

"G" is for Grand

A closer look at the image!
 One more look!
It is time for another challenge at ABC Challenge. Our letter for this challenge is "G" and "G" is for Grand! Our lovely sponsor is Magnolia-licious. You can find some wonderful stamps and dies, along with other products. So hop on over to their store and take a look at all their lovely wares! We want to see anything but a card. I have been working on a calendar out of chipboard. The holes at the top fit a D-ring that hangs on a dowel. I die cut the tree with a Memory Box die and then added some snow and shadows for depth. I fussy cut my cute little Tilda and the log and then glued them onto the background paper. The snow was created by tearing some white paper and adding some Stickles. I cut the bottom of the white paper to form the 'ice pond.' I like the over all effect. I popped the calendar with some foam.  I have had lot's of fun with this calendar and plan on getting it finished soon! I want to give it to my daughter for her desk at work. I hope it will remind her how much she is loved.  I am looking forward to seeing what wonderful creations you come up with.
I am entering this  calendar page at the following challenges:
