"With Sympathy"

One of the greatest blessings I have had in my life is being a youth leader at my church. I had some wonderful kids who participated in our group. One in particular touched my life in so many ways. Salina grew up and married a wonderful young man Tyler. You can imagine how thrilled everyone was when they announced at our church's Thanksgiving dinner that they were expecting their first baby. A few days later we found out they had lost their baby. I wanted to let them know how much they are loved and how sorry I was at their loss. This is the card I created for them. I hope it will bless them in a small way to know I care.

"You Are Precious in His Sight"

This is one of my favorite Kenny K images, you can tell she might be just a bit sassy! I colored her with Copics. I added a little hand stitched to the card and used a MS boarder punch one each side of the card to make it look frilly! Three roses and a sentiment finished off my card. I am entering this card at the following challenges:

"Joy Is In Us!"

It has snowed all day at out house! So, needless to say it was difficult for me to get a good picture of this card. I made this card for the "Totally Tilda Challenge". The challenge is to use "Gold". I don't know why but 'gold' is difficult for me to take a good picture of. I followed the Mojo Monday sketch for my card. I colored my image with Copics. I added a little gold Spica pen to various areas on the image. I hand stitched her cross stitch down the front of her jacket. Her hair really is quite dark but looks blue in the photo....another trick of the camera? LOL. I added snow flake buttons and a little lace and ribbon to finish off my card.

"Sugar Bowl Challenge"

The Sugar Bowl is having a challenge, so I am experimenting with my 'white on white' cards. This is my first attempt and it is OK, but not what I want for my entry. I colored the image with Copics and added a little Spica pen to give her some bling. I also add some polk-a-dots with a gel pen. I framed her with a Nestability and used my crop-a-dile to add snow flakes. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on the background paper and a MS boarder punch on the edges. My sentiment if from Close To My Heart and is framed with SU punches. I added lace and a bow to finish of my white on white card!I am entering this card at the following challenges:

Swirls!

This is definitely a non traditional colored card for Christmas or for winter. I wanted it to look happy and fun and warm! It has snowed all day and I have watched the neighbor kids playing, sledding and having fun....while I shoveled snow! LOL!  This cute little image from Mo Manning just makes you feel happy! I colored the image with Copics. I added the pink swirls that I cut out with my Cricut. Two little pink tinged roses completed this fun little card. "Season's Greetings"

If you have followed my blog for very long you know that I love to used up scrap pieces of paper on my cards. This card is just that! The red card stock I had used a Nestie and a Marianne snowflake die on. It was the perfect piece to frame this Mo Manning image. I used a MS boarder punch to add a lacy boarder. I colored the image with Copics, added glitter to the fur on the hat and a Spica to the snaps on the p.j.'s. I added a white button snow flake to the center of the cut out and a red pearl to the button. The sentiment is from SU. This is a fun little card that kept a little piece of red card stock from going to waste! I am entering this card at the following challenges:

Mo Manning's Design Team

Warning this is a long post! Mo Manning is having a DT call. I have loved Mo Manning's digi art for several years now. So, you can imagine why becoming a member of this fabulous DT would be a dream come true. Now for the really hard part. I was supposed to create a card using my favorite image. That is so hard for me as my favorite image is the one I am using to make a card on that particular day. So, I made these cards in the last two days. (Yes! In between shopping, cleaning house and making pies!) Now, I have to pick which one to submit. I am hoping each of you who are so sweet to follow my blog will tell me which card you like the best and which one you think I should submit! Thanks for your help! Have a blessed Thanksgiving! A personal note to my family that I can't be with. I love each of you and you will be in thoughts and as always in my heart. I hope we can be together soon. I love you!

"From Our House To Yours"

Just love my sweet little h'Anglers. This little angel is no exception. I ran the front of my card stock through an Cuttlebug embossing folder. I then cut out the center with a die and added some of my favorite snowflake die cuts (thanks to sweet Elaine!) I added a little turquoise rhinestone to the center of each snowflake. I colored my image with Copics, and added some Spica in various places. I then added sentiments from SU. After I took the picture I decided that the inside was much to plain. So I added a few small white snowflakes to the inside. But, it was much too dark and I was too lazy to take another picture! LOL!

"Merry Christmas"

No way am I going to miss my Kenny K deadline this week! LOL. Having worked with the youth in our church for the last 30+ years I have found out how important it is not to judge 'a book by its cover.'
We have had some kids over the years who on the outside seemed pretty rough and on the inside were some of the finest people I had the opportunity to know. I am going to send this Christmas card out to one of the young ladies I had (she is now a mom of three) and send her a picture of one of our youth activities when she looked a lot like this Kenny K image. She is a wonderful wife and mother and looks very conservative these days! LOL! I had lots of fun putting this card together. I colored my image with Copics. The circle sentiment is a freebie (sorry I don't know who to give credit). I added some rick rack from MS. I cut my 'tag' out with a Magnolia die. The sentiment on the inside is from SU. The paper is all from my scrap box stash.

"Naughty or Nice?"

My mom would always say, "Never put off till tomorrow what you should have done today!" I am sure she is looking down from Heaven and tisking right now! LOL. This was my entry for the Kenny K sparkle and shine challenge! But, I kept  putting off posting it and then when I was going to post it we had guests show up and they stayed for a spell and guess what? I missed the deadline! Serves me right! But, this was such a fun card to make. I add lots of Spica and bling to my image. Doesn't she look like she is pondering whether to be Naughty or Nice? I will send this to my brother-in-law, the inside says "Go ahead and be naughty, save Santa the trip!" LOL. I know he will get a kick out of it.

"More Christmas Boxes"

The information for these boxes is in the preceding posting. Hope you enjoy seeing each of these.

"Christmas Boxes"

Do you every need that last minute gift for someone who drops by or, a small little gift for a neighbor, or co-worker? This is what I came up with. I found these boxes at our local Dollar store. There are two boxes per pack, a 4" square and a 3" square. They are heavy cardboard and come with the shiny red paper  already on them. I then used my Nestablitites to punch out the labels and frames. I used my ODB stamps for the Bible verses. I added various ribbons, flowers, garland and stamped images to decorate the  boxes. I plan to add homemade cookies and candies for the inside. This is a fast, fun, homemade, gift that will let someone know you think they are special. In these hard economic times this is an inexpensive way to share a gift. Hope you like this idea and it helps you to look for some 'homemade' fun.

"Being Together Is Best"

This is the card I ended up doing for Midnight Madness. The image is from Magnolia and I (of course) colored it with Copics. I framed it with Nestabilites. I added little ribbons and buttons. This was a fun little sketch when I finally got it did it! I added sentiment from "Close To My Heart" and a snowflake to finish off my card.

"Luke 2:14"

Oh, I have had some serious computer problems tonight! My dh sat down and cleared up the mess, but I do hate those kind of things! I started this card and was going to follow the sketch for Midnight Madness and then as I was putting the card together and I seemed to have meandered off the path! LOL! Oh, well! This image is from Magnolia and I colored it with Copics. I used my Nestabilites to frame the image. I added a wooden button and two strips of ribbon. The stamped verse on the inside is from Close To My Heart. I added a snowflake to finish off my card.

"Love You"

I feel in love with this digi, I think because it reminds me of my youngest grandson. Can you tell I am really missing them? Oh, I just can't wait until Christmas! I colored this little guy with Copics. Added a bit of Spica to give it a little sparkle. All of my paper is scrap pieces and the sentiment on the front is from SU. I am sorry I don't know where the inside sentiment came from.

"Friends"

This is my latest image from Mo Manning! It made me think about the wonderful friends I have in my life. My best friend is my husband. I have been so blessed to have him in my life. I also have some really special friends that I get together with and know they are always there for me through good times and bad. Last but certainly not least are the new friends I have made through blogging. Each are a blessing in my life. Thank you! I colored my image with Copics. I added fine glitter to their hats and coarse glitter to the snow. I also added two buttons to finish off my card. I hope you enjoy this card and you are reminded how important friends are! Blessings to each of you!

"I Like Santa!"

This is my second card with Mo Manning's digi. I colored the image with Copics. I added glitter to the fur on his santa suit and flower soft to his beard. I cut a snowflake out with a die and added a rhinestone to the center. The inside of the card is actually for the post following this one. I am really having trouble with my blogger tonight. I added a ribbon and bow to finish off my card. You will see in the picture in the below posting why I could relate to this digi.

I Don't Like Santa!

When I saw this Mo Manning digi I knew I would be making a card with it . The not so clear picture is my youngest grandson Logan and he did not like Santa. After we snatched him from Santa's lap and his older brother talked Santa's leg off we headed home and Logan who is three said, "I'm not afraid of Santa!" We all had a good laugh! I made this card for the challenge at http://joanscreations.blogspot.com/
This was a challenge for me! I made about three starts and didn't like what I was doing and then I started coloring this image and the card just came together. I am sure it was the thoughts of my grandsons that did it for me. LOL. I colored my image with Copics. I used a Nestability to cut the oval. I used dies (thanks Elaine) to cut my snowflakes out with. They were cut out of gold card stock and then I added a rhinestone to the center of each. I added a ribbon and bow from my stash and tied a mitten ornament onto the bow. I added glitter to Santa's hat and white fur. I also added flower soft to his beard. I wanted to post the inside of the card, but for some reason my blogger seems to be fritzing tonight!

YaaaHooo! Kenny K's Is Having a Design Team Call!

It is hard not to be excited about having a chance to be on the Kenny K Design Team. There is so much talent on that team or should I say teams? As you have read in past posts I love coloring the fantastic images and feel like my Copic coloring has improved because of those images. So, head on over to http://kennykkraftygirlzchallenges.blogspot.com/ and check out the requirements! While you are there you might as well enter this weeks challenge which is "Sparkle and Spots". I am showing a couple of my favorite cards that I have done in the past.

O.K. I did more than a couple, but it is hard to pick a favorite when each is so different!
I hope each of you will try out for the DT. I know it would be an honor to be a part of that great group. Good-luck to all and blessings!

The Magic of Christmas

I must have been in the duo images for cards today. This is an Ingar Harding digi and I colored her with digis. I framed her with Nesties. I used a MS lace punch and a Magnolia die. I add a tad of lace and some buttons from my stash. With a few roses and a sentiment from Close To My Heart my card is completed.

"Blue Noel"

This is another Ingar Harding digi...she was a freebie. I thought she was cute and needed a little ink today. I colored her with Copics and framed with Copics. I did a little hand stitching on the edge of the frame and added three blue snowflakes. I used a MS board punch and a Cuttlebug folder. The Noel is a button and I added half pearls to finish off my card.

"This Is Going To Be Hard to Explain"

This is my second "kitty" card. The digi image is from Mo Manning. I colored the image with Copics. I used a Magnolia die for my lace boarder, poinsettias are from Wild Orchid and the sentiment is computer generated. I think that sentiment fits the look on this naughty kitty's face perfectly. I added Spica to the ornaments and the star.

"Make Merry"

I just had to laugh at this Mo Manning digi. I think anyone who have ever had a cat can relate to this kitty. I just had to color up a couple of these for the grands as they are contemplating getting a kitty. It also makes me think of my friend Amanda and her silly cat. She has a picture of it on her blog. You can find her link on my sidebar. I colored the image with Copics and then went Spica crazy. I added Spica to the ornaments both on the tree and the tag. I hope you enjoy this funny little Christmas card, I had fun making it.
