Ice Skates!

 Ice Skates
A closer look.
The inside of my card!
It is time once again for a new challenge at The Paper Shelter!
Our challenge is "Going Digital"! That's right we want to see your entries with a digi image! And if you are interest in winning a $30 then just use a digi from The Paper Shelter! I chose "Ice Skates" for my card. I don't normally use dark colors in my cards. A creature of habit I always reach for the pinks, peaches, etc. But I had this Christmas paper torn out of the pad and wanted to use it before it was ruined. I am so glad that I did as I loved the way it turned out! I hope you enjoy it and that you will join the fun at our challenge!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Wonderwall (Paul Anka) (played at the Olympic Figure skating this year)
Today is gonna be the day

That they're gonna throw it back to you
By now you should've somehow
Realized what you gotta do
I don't believe that anybody
Feels the way I do about you now
Back beat the word was on the street

That the fire in your heart is out
I'm sure you've heard it all before
But you never really had a doubt
I don't believe that anybody feels
The way I do about you now
And all the roads we have to walk along are winding

And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
There are many things that I would
Like to say to you
I don't know how
Because maybe

You're gonna be the one that saves me?
And after all
You're my wonderwall

Ribbons and Buttons

A closer look at the cute digi stamp!
 The inside of my card!
It is time for another challenge at The Paper Shelter! I chose Spring Style for my card you can find her at The Paper Shelter Shop! I must admit I had one disaster after another when I made this card!
First, after coloring my cute little buttons so they would match my card perfectly, I glued them on and realized I had one button that didn't match! But trying to remove it was going to rip my paper and I didn't have enough of an edge to play with! So, I gritted my teeth and moved on. Then I was putting liquid glass on with my 'fine tipped' bottle and a big glob dropped out on my stamp! I quickly tried to wipe it up but it still left a large spot that I didn't like! So, not to be outdone by this small calamity I found some cute 3-D butterfly stickers (who cares at this point if they matched my card) and stuck them on so I could use one to cover up the glob tragedy! Then I had to put my ribbon on three times before I could mange to not have it twisted. I did manage to add the bow, and little pearl bow, and the sentiment without further incident! LOL! Boy, did I sigh with relief when this card was finally completed!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Buttons and Bows (Dinah Shore)
East is east and west is west
And the wrong one I have chose
Let's go where I'll keep on wearin'
Those frills and flowers and buttons and bows
Rings and things and buttons and bows
Don't bury me in this prairie
Take me where the cement grows
Let's move down to some big town
Where they love a gal by the cut o' her clothes
And I'll stand out in buttons and bows

(Yes! I did know this song isn't Ribbons and Buttons!)
