Christmas is Over!

I think this is how we all feel Christmas night. This look might have extended over to taking down the Christmas tree and decorations. The older I get the longer it takes me. Someday I am just going to leave them up and enjoy them year round!  This fun stamp is from CAAB and she is part of the monthly progressive freebies. I had so much fun coloring her. I love how she is taking a snooze after spreading her fairy dust. If you have not checked out CAAB and seen all the cute stamps you have missed out on some fun stamps. Just click on the link and you will be taken to the store.

What I Saw In the Christmas Tree

Isn't this fun little fairy from The Paper Shelter the cutest? I love how she is admiring her reflection in the Christmas ball. I added Glassy Accents to the Christmas ball. I am not sure if I like it as well now as I did before I added the Glassy Accents. Sometimes I just need to leave things alone and quit while I am ahead.  I had these cute mirror sentiments and shape which I added to the card. I like the way they reflect the light also. Some pretty Nuvo liquid pearls and a polk a dot ribbon finish off this fun card.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Joseph's Lullaby (Mercy Me)
Go to sleep my Son
This manger for your bed
You have a long road before You
Rest Your little head
Can You feel the weight of Your glory?
Do You understand the price?
Or does the Father guard Your heart for now
So You can sleep tonight?
Go to sleep my Son
Go and chase Your dreams
This world can wait for one more moment
Go and sleep in peace
I believe the glory of Heaven
Is lying in my arms tonight
But Lord,
Go to sleep my Son
Baby, close Your eyes
Soon enough You'll save the day
But for now, dear Child of mine
Oh my Jesus, Sleep tight

Christmas Ornaments!

Love this pretty stamp from Fairy Ink! I know some of you are so over Christmas cards but I was late this year getting mine done so I am just now getting them posted. I plan on having most of my cards done for next year before December rolls around. LOL! Both of my die cuts are from Spellbinders. I added some extra fine glitter to the ice-cycles. Glossy Accents brought some shiny dimension to my ornaments. Pretty acrylic flowers from Queen & Company finish off this fun card.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Mary Did You Know (Clay Aiken)
Mary, did you know
That your Baby Boy would one day walk on water?
Mary, did you know
That your Baby Boy would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know
That your Baby Boy has come to make you new?
This Child that you delivered will soon deliver you.
Mary, did you know
That your Baby Boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary, did you know
That your Baby Boy will calm the storm with His hand?
Did you know
That your Baby Boy has walked where angels trod?
When you kiss your little Baby you kissed the face of God?

Candy Cane Goodness

This is an old "Hangler" stamp. I still love the sweet faces on these stamps. I had to make a Christmas card from this one.  I used a "Yvonne" die cut on the side of the card and added a cute peppermint button and a candy wrapped button. Glassy accents on the candy cane finished off this card.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Candy Cane Christmas (Darius Rucker)
Tiny little boots covered in snow
Apple cider warmin' on the stove
Tinsel twinklin' everywhere
Holly hangin' on the stairs
It must be Christmas Eve
Angels sittin' high upon a tree
Watchin' over presents patiently
Milk and cookies on a plate
Santa Clause is on his way
The kids should be fast asleep
Sleigh bells are ringin' in their heads
Twistin' like little tops in their beds
Tryin' to sleep but it's no use
With hoofs tap tappin' on the roof
Peakin' out the window to see what they can see
It's a candy cane Christmas
Sweet as it can be
The kids will wake up awfully early
'Cause they can't wait to see
If Santa made it so they can say
Look what he brought me
Sleigh bells are ringin' in their heads
Twistin' like little tops in their beds
Tryin' to sleep but it's no use
With hoofs tap tappin' on the roof
Peakin' out the window to see what they can see
It's a candy cane Christmas
Sweet as it can be
It's a candy cane Christmas
Sweet as it can be

Cold Weather? Bah Humbug!

Are you freezing in your neck of the woods. Idaho has had it's share of cold, bitter days. We have had snow, ice, fog, sunshine, rain, etc. A typical winter in Idaho. This Mo Manning image makes me think of those bitter cold days. The cute Bah Hum Bug is a die cut and I thought it went perfect with this card.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow
Oh the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
It doesn't show signs of stopping
And I've brought some corn for popping
The lights are turned way down low
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
When we finally kiss goodnight
How I hate going out in the storm
But if you really hold me tight
All the way home I'll be warm
The fire is slowly dying
And my dear we're still goodbye-ing
As long as you love me so
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
Oh, it doesn't show signs of stopping
And I've brought some corn for popping
and the lights are turned way down low
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

Merry Christmas

The stamped image.
Parchment poinsettias!
A closer look at the embossing.
The detail on the candle.
I am loving this beautiful stamp and die set from Heartfelt Creations. I had so much fun making this card and I was able to use some new techniques that I learned at convention.  If you ever have a chance to take classes from Heartfelt instructors do so. They are the best classes you will find. The pretty die framing the stamp and framing the opening in my card.  is also from Heartfelt. I added Stickles to the candle flame so it looks a bit more like it is lit.
I hope today finds each of you enjoying the love of family and friends. That you stop a moment to reflect upon the greatest gift we can receive which is the gift of Jesus Christ. Have a blessed holiday and a safe New Year.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song:Not So Far Apart (Ryan Kelly)
I see the countless Christmas Trees
around the world below
with tiny lights, like heaven's stars
reflecting on the snow.
The sight is so spectacular
please wipe away that tear
Remember that I'm spending Christmas
with Jesus Christ this year
I hear the many Christmas songs
that I know you hold so dear
but the sounds of music can't compare
with the Christmas choir up here
I have no words to tell you
the joy their voices bring
for it's beyond description
to hear those angels sing
I know how much you miss me
I can see the pain in your heart
but I am not so far away
We're really not that far apart
So be happy for me dear ones
You know I hold you dear
Remember that I'm spending Christmas
with Jesus Christ this year
So dry your tears I ask of you
from my heavenly home above
Instead enjoy my memory,
and cherish my endless love
Think of all the good times
we spent around this time
For no one can take those memories
they're just yours and mine...
So have a Merry Christmas
You know I hold you dear
Remember that I'm spending Christmas
with Jesus Christ this year
Yes have a Merry Christmas
You know I hold you dear
Remember that I'm spending Christmas
with Jesus Christ this year

Almost Christmas!

I think today is the quiet before the storm. Tomorrow we will have the family over for soup and then off to check out the Christmas lights.  Dishes to prepare for Christmas day and a bit of snow falling. Phone calls to those we love who are far away and dear to our heart. The grandkids are excited and think they will not make it until Christmas morning. How about you are you enjoying the memories you are making? I hope this Christmas finds each of you enjoying the celebration of our Lord's birth.
Now for my card. Just a cut little snowman stamp and sweet sentiment for a friend.
Merry Christmas to each of you.

Holy Night

Merry Christmas to all! I hope you are ready for Christmas. The Chapman household just finished with the church Christmas Program. There are Christmas parties to attend, Christmas caroling, a Christmas parade, sledding, well, you get the picture. We have had snow and cold temps to get us in the Christmas spirit. Perhaps that is why I  picked this stamp from The Paper Shelter. Our challenge for the next three weeks will be "Anything Goes". I chose to do a winter birthday card. This is one of my favorite images from The Paper Shelter it is called "Holy Night". Just click on the link and you can purchase it .  This is vacation time for both teams at The Paper Shelter so we won't be leaving comments on your cards, but you can still win a prize so be sure and play along!
I am entering this car at the following challenges:

My Song: A Strange Way To Save The World (4 Him)
I'm sure he must have been surprised
At where this road had taken him
Cause never in a million lives
Would he have dreamed of Bethlehem
And standing at the manger
He saw with his own eyes
The message from the angel come to life
And Joseph said
Why me, I'm just a simple man of trade
Why Him with all the rulers in the world
Why here inside this stable filled with hay
Why her, she's just an ordinary girl
Now I'm not one to second guess
What angels have to say
But this is such a strange way to save the world

Waiting for Santa!

I have been watching it snow here all day long. It is so pretty and the world around me is covered in a blanket of pure white. I don't have to commute or even leave the house if I don't want to, so I can enjoy the snow. For those of you that drive in this weather please be safe. Now on to my card.
I used an older Magnolia stamp for this card. It was a fun color. My paper all came from the scrap bin and seemed to work wonderfully for this card.  I added pine boughs from a Memory Box die and a few heart rhinestones to finish off this fun little card.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Mrs. Santa Clause (The Oak Ridge Boys)
Now everybody's heard of Mrs. Santa Claus
Everybody knows she's Santa's wife
Every Christmas Eve, she sits up all alone
An' waits till he gets home again all right

He says, "Don't you cry or worry, Mrs. Santa Claus
After all these years, the reindeer know their way
You know ho-ho I love you, Mrs. Santa Claus
An' I'll be home before it's Christmas day"

Now all the elves that make the toys for Santa Claus
Spend their one night off the whole year long
Singin' songs and dancin' 'round the Christmas tree
Fillin' Mrs. Santa Claus with cheer

Singin', "Don't you cry or worry, Mrs. Santa Claus
After all these years, the reindeer know their way
You know ho-ho we love you, Mrs. Santa Claus
An' Santa will be home on Christmas day"

Well, if you ever think of Mrs. Santa Claus
Sitting by herself on Christmas Eve
Maybe you could write a special Christmas card
To help poor Mrs. Santa Claus believe

Sayin', "Don't you cry or worry, Mrs. Santa Claus
After all these years, the reindeer know their way
You know ho-ho we love you, Mrs. Santa Claus
Santa will be home on Christmas day"

"You know ho-ho we love you, Mrs. Santa Claus
And Santa will be home on Christmas day"
