A Little Winter Card!

 A closer look!
 A new Poppy die!
 A Memory Box die.
I  love images that can be used for more than one season or holiday. This Mo Manning image is such an image. It was intended to add to the Christmas "Raggedy" images. But, I think it works quiet well for a winter birthday card! How about you? I colored this image during my husbands recent stay at the hospital and I can see that limited lighting is not the best  for coloring. I also had to play a bit with a couple of new dies that I have. This was just a fun make for me and a chance to let someone know I was thinking of them on their special day. I hope your day is filled with blessings.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song: He Knows
All the bitter weary ways
Endless striving day by day
You barely have the strength to pray
In the valley low
And how hard your fight has been
How deep the pain within
Wounds that no one else has seen
Hurts too much to show
All the doubt you're standing in between
And all the weight that brings you to your knees
He knows
He knows
Every hurt and every sting
He has walked the suffering
He knows
He knows
Let your burdens come undone
Lift your eyes up to the one
Who knows
He knows

Dream A Little Dream

A closer look!
A look at the lace and flowers!
A closer look at the lace and rhinestones!
One more look at my card!
This image always makes me think of prom dresses. I was listening to some of the girls at church talk about 'prom' and realized that we often forget that it can be a painful experience for many. Those who never get asked, those who get asked as a joke, those who can't afford a dress, those who get stood up. It made me remember some of those painful feelings growing up. I hope you will pray for the young people you know especially the teens. It can be a painful time full of pitfalls as they step forward into adulthood.
Now, onto my card....this is a SC image. I added Stickles to make the dress sparkle. With a little gel pen on the top for the dots on the dress. The lace on the the card if stickers from the Dollar store. I colored them with my Copics pen and added rhinestones to the bottom lace. A few flowers from WOC were the only details I added to this card. I am going to add a scripture to the inside of the card and send it with a note of encouragement to a special teen in our church.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Mamma's and The Papa's
                                                         Stars shining bright above you
Night breezes seem to whisper, I love you

Dream a little dream of me

My Best Prayers for You!

My fun Mo Manning image!
A closer look!
I don't know what it is about this fun image that makes me smile so, but I do love using it. Maybe because it is called "Patty"! It should serve a good reminder to me don't you think? Anyway, I wanted to give a friend of mine a smile and thought this card would do it! I have several images that I have colored ahead of time (long before I took my Kit and Clowder Class). I am using them in cards but I see so many things that I would like to have a 'do over' on. This card is no exception, but I also know that  the friend who receives this card will enjoy it anyway.  I hope your day is filled with blessings!
I am entering this card in the following challenges:

My Song: The Answer to Playmate
I don't want to play in your yard.
I don't like you anymore
You'll be sorry when you see me
sliding down my cellar door.
You can't holler down my rain barrel
You can't climb my cherry tree.
I don't want to play in your yard
If you won't be good to me!

Thinking of You

Today is my mom's birthday. She passed away thirteen years ago. I still miss her and wish we had one more day together. So this card fit the mood today. Life passes so quickly and in a blink of an eye your world can change. Enjoy your time with loved ones and never miss an opportunity to let them know how much you care. This card and a meal is going out to a young couple who recently had a miscarriage. I wanted to let them know that we cared. I found the lovely paper in my stash and must have overlooked it for years. I thought it was so pretty! I made a little pocket to tuck my personal note in.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: James Taylor
When you're down and troubled and you need a helping hand
and nothing, whoa, nothing is going right.
Close your eyes and think of me and soon I will be there
to brighten up even your darkest nights.
You just call out my name, and you know where ever I am
I'll come running to see you again.
Winter, spring, summer, or fall, all you have to do is call
and I'll be there, yeah, yeah,
you've got a friend.

A Birthday Card

 A closer look.
Each year I struggle with making a card for the pastor of our church. It doesn't help that my Sunday School class always wants one to give him also. This year I came up with this one. I thought it was a cute image and could be depicting a pastor sharing God's Word! I love the little dog taking a quick lick of the heart sucker.  I also love the polk a dot brads. I hope you enjoy this little card and you will take time to reach out to someone who  needs a blessing today!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Amazing Love
I'm forgiven cause You were forsaken
I'm accepted, You were condemned
I am alive and well, Your spirit is within me
'Cause You died and rose again
Amazing love, how can it be?
That You, my King would die for me?
Amazing love, I know its true
It's my joy to honor You
In all I do, I honor You

Spring Delights!

A closer look!
My pretty die cut flowers!
I am sure everyone is ready for spring! Right? We have been fortunate in Idaho as it has been an extremely mild winter. That is the good news the bad news is that we will probably have a long, hot, summer with lots of fires. With a shortage of snow fall we will have a shortage of water. Well you have to take the bad with the good. My heart goes out to the people on the east coast who have been inundated with snow this year.  Anyway on to my card.
It is time for Team A challenge at THE PAPER SHELTER. This should be a fun and easy one for you. Our challenge is "Spring Delights". I love this digi and if you are like me, you are dying to get out the summer clothes and maybe add to your wardrobe! LOL! Be sure and grab a Paper Shelter digi to qualify for the $30.00 prize! One Can Be A Lot!

My card!

A closer look.

This is a picture of "Tink" (on the right) and her big sister Karisma at our Christmas program.
A look at my new rocking horse die.
One of my closest friends youngest grand-daughter is nick-named "Tink". She is the sweetest little girl and I just want to snuggle with her whenever she allows it. So when I saw this cute image on adult coloring pages (what is that anyway?) I knew I had to make a card for my friend using this image. You have to admit that there is a definite likeness there! I also wanted to use my new CC dies. I love the rocking horse and the pretty open lace die, and the pretty Memory Box flower die. I hope this week you will take time to help someone in need. Remember, one helping hand can be a lot!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song: (Adam Brand) One Can Be A Lot
I ducked into the church one Sunday, just to get out of the rain.
sat down in the very back row in time to hear the preacher say
before we bow our heads let me leave you with this thought
do one good turn to someone..one can be a lot
just one sun lights the sky. just one moon turns the tide.
a man can change the world with just one thought.
one promise made can last forever
just one rock will bend a river
one God up in heaven is all we've got
but sometimes one can be a lot

Wee Happy Birthday

 A look at the sentiment!
 The inside of my card!
It is no great secret that I love Wee Images. I was sad to see that because of some dumb tax they would no longer be sold from the Wee website. This is such a fun image and can be used in so many ways. I think it makes a lovely  birthday card. I cut my sentiment out with a cute die and then added liquid glass to shine the edges. All of my paper is from the scrap box but it worked well with this image. Just a fun little birthday card that I hope will brighten someone's birthday!
I am entering this card in the following challenges:

My Song: Paper Roses
I realize the way your eyes deceived me
With tender looks that I mistook for love;
So take away the flowers that you gave me
And send the kind that you remind me of.

"Away With The Faries"

 A closer look!
 A look at the detail.
A closer look at the die cut.
 Glitter and liquid pearls.
 The inside of the card.
Are you ready to sprinkle a little Fairy dust? It is time for a fun new challenge at THE PAPER SHELTER! That's right dig out those Fairy images or hop on over to THE PAPER SHELTER and grab one, or two or more of their cute fairies. I can't wait to see what you come up with. Be sure and check out my team members beautiful creations. They will amaze you!
I decided to have fun with this one and go a little wild with the colors. The green hair was so much fun to color that I may experiment with more colors in the future. The pretty wings have Stickles on them to make them sparkle. I also added Stickles to the pretty die cut. I had some pretty little flower rhinestones. A pretty sheer ribbon and bow finished my card.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: The Dream Fairy
The Dream Fairy's coming from Hush-a-Bye Land,
A basket of beautiful dreams In her hand,
And soon by my wee baby's bed She will stand.
She'll peek through the windows all over the town,
'Til she finds my babe in her pretty white gown,
And she'll leave a sweet dream on her pillow of down.

"E" is for Exceptionally Cute!

A closer look!

A look at my die cut and the sentiment!
A close look of the die cut!
Is March making it's entry like a lion or like a lamb where you live? In Idaho it is ????? It makes it a great day to stay inside and avoid the weather and play in the craft room. This card took me forever to make and yet it looks so simple! So my "E" for ABC Challenge maybe "Exceptionally Hard". LOL! After coloring my image....which I was not happy with as my E00 tip needed to be replaced but I had to order them so I had to make do. I have found with Copics that 'making do' does not always work out the way we would like it to. But, the image provided by our lovely sponsor Sheri Baldy  is exceptionally cute. I fussy cut the image out and mounted her on foam tape. She is framed with a Dienamics stitched die. The cute little Mushrooms are cut with a C.C. die. I used liquid pearls for the green dots on both the mushroom image and the die cut and the center of the flowers. I added a few dots of Stickles for some sparkle. I hope you will join this challenge and show us your exceptionally cute creations!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Unchained Melody (The Righteous Brothers)
Oh, my love, my darling
I've hungered for your touch
A long, lonely time
Time goes by so slowly
And time can do so much
Are you still mine?
I need your love
I need your love
God speed your love to me
