An Announcment!

Good-morning everyone! I have been excited to announce this! I have been asked to be a part of the of the Inspiration Destination Design Team. I have a lot to learn as the way things are done on this team are different. So far everyone has been patient with me and hopefully I will soon be over the learning curve. Our challenges are always "Anything Goes" every week, rain or shine! These challenges start on Wednesdays at 12 AM, Central Standard Time, (USA) and end on Tuesdays at 12PM CST (USA). You can share cards, altered items, mixed media, layouts of anything else you can think of that you've made with your two hands and used your imagination to create. Remember, no back-linking, or you will be disqualified.  You can read all of the rules on the left hand side of the blog.
We have Two lovely sponsors for our challenge this week. The first is:
You could win $10 from this generous sponsor. I choose "Stuffed Ellephant"
and no, I did not misspell elephant! You can find this cute stamp here!
(Card 1)

I used paper out of my scrap box to make this card. I had the pretty gold stars for over ten years! (I found them when I was cleaning out? my craft room. I popped the cute Ellephant stamp with foam dementionals. The sentiment was made with a die cut. and a pretty sheer ribbon and bow finished off  this fun card!

Our Next sponsor is "Little Blue Button Stamps"!
They are also offering a generous $10 gift card as well!
I chose "Cupcake Shop" for my next card! You can find this adorable stamp here!
Please be sure and visit both of our sponsors and check out all the fun stamps available!
Card (2)

I had so much fun with this stamp. I thought this pretty paper reminded me of sprinkles on a cupcake! The little cupcake embellishment I drew and made by hand. I thought it added some extra fun. The pretty felt flowers and pearls are from Queen and Co.
I had lots of fun making both of these cards and I can't wait to see what you come up with!
I am entering these cards at the following challenges: (card 2)  (card 1)  (card 2) (card 1) (both cards)

My Song: When You Believe (Whitney Houston)
Many nights we prayed
With no proof anyone could hear
In our hearts a hope for a song
We barely understood
Now we are not afraid
Although we know there's much to fear
We were moving mountains
Long before we knew we could, whoa, yes
There can be miracles
When you believe
Though hope is frail
Its hard to kill
Who knows what miracles
You can achieve
When you believe somehow you will
You will when you believe

"Love Is In The Air"

The Inside of my card...on it's side!
Good-morning! I hope you are enjoying a beautiful spring day. It is nice to see winter being put to bed and spring beginning to flaunt her colors. The card that I chose for our challenge at "The Paper Shelter" was my husbands birthday card. Even though his birthday was in February I saved posting it for the "Love Is In The Air" challenge. I hope you will join in on the fun and the chance to win a fabulous prize! Remember if you use one of the wonderful Paper Shelter images you could win up to $30 in prizes. So pick your fun Paper Shelter stamp and  enter today! My image is "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" and can be found here!
I wanted the people to be our age so I colored them with grey hair.  I really think it makes them fun! I kept the card simple as it was for my husbands birthday and I didn't want it to be 'girly'.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" Frankie Valli
You're just too good to be true
I can't take my eyes off you
You'd be like heaven to touch
I wanna hold you so much
At long last love has arrived
And I thank God I'm alive
You're just too good to be true
Can't take my eyes off you
Pardon the way that I stare
There's nothing else to compare
The sight of you leaves me weak
There are no words left to speak
But if you feel like I feel
Please let me know that is real
You're just too good to be true
I can't take my eyes off you

"G" is for Grand

A closer look at the image!
 One more look!
It is time for another challenge at ABC Challenge. Our letter for this challenge is "G" and "G" is for Grand! Our lovely sponsor is Magnolia-licious. You can find some wonderful stamps and dies, along with other products. So hop on over to their store and take a look at all their lovely wares! We want to see anything but a card. I have been working on a calendar out of chipboard. The holes at the top fit a D-ring that hangs on a dowel. I die cut the tree with a Memory Box die and then added some snow and shadows for depth. I fussy cut my cute little Tilda and the log and then glued them onto the background paper. The snow was created by tearing some white paper and adding some Stickles. I cut the bottom of the white paper to form the 'ice pond.' I like the over all effect. I popped the calendar with some foam.  I have had lot's of fun with this calendar and plan on getting it finished soon! I want to give it to my daughter for her desk at work. I hope it will remind her how much she is loved.  I am looking forward to seeing what wonderful creations you come up with.
I am entering this  calendar page at the following challenges:

My Song: "Hey There Lonely Girl" (Eddie Holman)
Hey there lonely girl, lonely girl
Let me make your broken heart like new
Oh, my lonely girl, lonely girl
Don't you know this lonely boy loves you
Ever since he broke your heart you seem so lost
Each time you pass my way
How I long to take your hand
And say don't cry, I'll kiss your tears away
Hey there lonely girl, lonely girl
Let me make your broken heart like new
Oh my lonely girl, lonely girl
don't you know this lonely boy loves you

Polk A Doodles Challenge Card

This stamp is from Polk A Doodles. They have some of the cutest stamps and are great for all ages. The stamp comes with a smaller framed stamp that I thought looked great on the inside of my card. I challenged myself to use a paper that really didn't appeal to me. I am sure that I am not the only one who buys a pad of paper and always ends up with two or three sheets that  you put to the back of the pile to 'use later'. After I found card stock to match I must say that I didn't mind the paper at all. LOL!
I used several ribbons and lace to embellish my card. The sentiment is from Sweet and Sassy.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Goin' Back (Dusty Springfield)
think I'm goin' back
To the things
I learned so well
In my youth
I think I'm returning to
Those days
When I was young enough
To know the truth
Now there are no games
To only pass the time
No more coloring books
No Christmas bells to chime
But thinking young
And growing older
Is no sin
And I can play
The game of life to win

Put Me In Coach!

I have had this SC image colored for a good long time, but I have never made it into a card until today. I can see a big improvement in my coloring (this was colored many months ago)  but I did try to add a bit here and there to deepen my colors. Unfortunately, coloring doesn't work  as well on the second time around! I did my best to 'doll' it up and it will work for  a standby if I am in a crisis. I added some pretty ribbon to my hand made tabs and a cute little flower to set it off. I kept it pretty simple.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Put Me In Coach (John Fogerty)
Well, I beat the drum and hold the phone, the sun came out today
We're born again, there's new grass on the field
Just a-roundin' third and headed for home, it's a brown-eyed handsome man
Anyone can understand the way I feel
Oh, put me in, Coach, I'm ready to play, today
Put me in, Coach, I'm ready to play, today
Look at me, I can be Center field

A True, True Love!

I just noticed that some of my rhinestones have fallen off my card. Since it is already in the mail I guess there is little I can do about it! LOL! Why is it these things always show up after I have posted my card? The stamp is from CAAB and she reminded me of days as a kid when I was outside and wondering where everyone was that I hung out with. I had a grand time coloring her but I was running out of ink in one of my skin tones and she did turn out a bit blotchy! I  ordered my refill ink which was also used up so hopefully it will be here soon. The pretty boarders are a die from ODB. A 'few' rhinestones and a sheer ribbon and bow finish off this fun card.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: A True, True Love (Bobby Darin)
I can't give you stars that shine
Or the moon above
All I have to offer you
Is a true, true love
A true, true love
That grows and grows forever and a day
Not like the rose
That only grows awhile, then fades away
Tomorrows true, true love
Will be more than it is today
Tomorrows true, true love
Will be more than it is today

Something for the Boys!

As some of you may know, my hard drive kicked the bucket. So, I am using an old, slow computer to post this card. Some of my per-scheduled posts are not on this computer and I am having to wing it. So pardon my late posting and only one picture!
The Paper Shelter is having a fun challenge or for some of us a real challenge! Make a card for the guys! I made this card for my middle grandson's birthday (May 1st)! I know he will like it! It was so much fun to color and if you have not checked out the new stamps at The Paper Shelter you are missing out.  I hope all of you will join this fun challenge. REMEMBER! If you use a Paper Shelter stamp you can win $30 prize money to spend at the store!  This stamp is called "Casual Boy" and can be found here!  So grab your stamp from The Paper Shelter and play along! I can't wait to see what you come up with!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song: "My Guy" by the Supremes!
Nothing you could say could tear me away from my guy,
Nothing you could do 'cause I'm stuck like glue to my guy.
(My guy)I'm sticking to my guy like a stamp to a letter,
Like birds of a feather we stick together,
I'm tellin' you from the start I can't be torn apart from my guy.

Go Boise State Broncos!

A closer look at the stamp.
The left inside of my card.
The left inside of my card.
I know football season is a long way off but I can still root for my favorite team the Boise State Bronco's! I had this image colored forever and had yet to put it on a card. Although I feel my coloring has improved I used this stamp, I have a stack of colored images that I want to use up. So, I will be adding a card here and there with them. The stamp is from SC and she makes the perfect BSU cheerleader! I hope each of you are enjoying some spring days.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: One Fine Day (The Chiffons)
One fine day, you'll look at me
And you will know our love was, meant to be
One fine day, you're gonna want me for your girl
The arms I long for, will open wide
And you'll be proud to have me, right by your side
One fine day, you're gonna want me for your girl

Just Breathe

A closer look at my stamp!
My pretty die cut and embellishments!
The inside of my card not yet stamped!
Pink and Orange is not a normal combination for me. But this pretty paper contained pink and orange and so I thought I would give it a go on this card. The cute image called "strawberry picking" is from CAAB. I picked strawberries as a kid to earn money and I can tell you I never looked this cute when I finished the day. I colored the stamp with Copics. Some pretty embellishments finished off this simple card. I will stamp the sentiment when I have a need for this card. My 1, 2, 3, are 1 stamp from CAAB, 2 papers, 3 ebellishments (flowers, rhinestones, pearl trim).

I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song: Breathe (Jonny Diaz)
Alarm clock screaming bare feet hit the floor
It’s off to the races everybody out the door
I’m feeling like I’m falling behind, it’s a crazy life
Ninety miles an hour going fast as I can
Trying to push a little harder trying to get the upper hand
So much to do in so little time, it’s a crazy life
It’s ready, set, go it’s another wild day
When the stress is on the rise in my heart I feel you say just
Breathe, just breathe
Come and rest at my feet
And be, just be
Chaos calls but all you really need
Is to just breathe

Summer time!

A closer look at the stamp.

 Pretty felt flowers!
The left inside of my card!
The right inside of my card!
I Must say this is a bright and colorful card! I am trying to step out of my comfort zone and used some of the scrap paper that I have put in the "I'll use this paper later" pile! So far I am having fun with it and who knows I may get some of that pile used up. This is another image from CAAB and I have had fun playing with her. I colored the stamp with Copics and added some pretty flowers I got at Hobby Lobby in their "Clearance" corner. The pretty rhinestones are from Queen and Company!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Fill Me Up Buttercup (Foundations)
Why do you build me up (build me up) Buttercup, baby
Just to let me down (let me down) and mess me around
And then worst of all (worst of all) you never call, baby
When you say you will (say you will) but I love you still
I need you (I need you) more than anyone, darlin'
You know that I have from the start
So build me up (build me up) Buttercup, don't break my heart
"I'll be over at ten", you told me time and again
But you're late, I wait around and then (bah-dah-dah)
I went to the door, I can't take any more
It's not you, you let me down again

The right inside flap of my card.
The Left inside flap of my card.
I hope you are ready to have some fun and play along  with all of us at ABC Challenge!  Our letter this time is the letter "F" for 'fancy fold'. Our lovely sponsor is the fabulous "Aurora Wings" .
I had so much fun coloring this fabulous image called "Sea Turtle Kiss"
Blues, greens and pinks were the colors I chose for my card. I thought they were pretty sea colors! the green foil leaves came from the scrap box. I just cut out the pretty green foil leaves and glued them on the background. The starfish are a CC Designs die cut with Stickles added for sparkle. the little bubbles are liquid pearls. the pretty sea flowers are from Queen and Co.  Silver washi tape addes some pretty sparkle to the front flaps and the sentiment flap. A little paper lace from a Magnolia die and a pretty sheer ribbon finished off my card. I hope you will grab a stamp from our wonderful sponsor Aurora Wings and play along. Good luck and I hope you win a fabulous prize!
Don't forget this is the last day to file your taxes!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My song: Part of Your World (The Little Mermaid)
Maybe he's right. Maybe there is something the matter with me.

Look at this stuff
Isn't it neat?
Wouldn't you think my collection's complete?
Wouldn't you think I'm the girl
The girl who has everything?
Look at this trove
Treasures untold
How many wonders can one cavern hold?
Looking around here you think
Sure, she's got everything

Alice In Wonderland

Another posting that I forgot to write anything. We have been on a dead run lately with baseball games and now half of the family (including me) have come down with a spring virus. Bad headache and congestion, cough, general awful feeling. I am ready for those lazy, dazy days of summer!
My stamp today is from THE PAPER SHELTER. It is called 'Drink Me" and you can find it here!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: "I'm Late" (of course)
I'm late, I'm late for
A very important date.
No time to say hello, good-bye,
I'm late, I'm late, I'm late
