I Love My Daughter

 A closer look!
 My Card Front
The inside of my card!

Although my daughter's birthday was in June I had to share my card creation for her. This lovely image is from Saturated Canary. I did change the sentiment on the little sign to fit the occasion. I loved the use of the vivid pink papers and the black check together. the inside of my card is a free sentiment from "Gingers House! I love this sentiment and you can use it in so many ways.  I added some homemade flowers and pink pearls. I hope you like this special card. Have a blessed Sunday!

My Song: My Little Girl (Tim McGraw)
Gotta hold on easy as I let you go.
Gonna tell you how much I love you, though you think you already know.
I remember I thought you looked like an angel wrapped in pink so soft and warm.
You've had me wrapped around your finger since the day you were born.
You're beautiful baby from the outside in.
Chase your dreams but always know the road that'll lead you home again.
Go on, take on this whole world.
But to me you know you'll always be, my little girl.

Cookies?

Summer is flying by so fast that it will soon be back to school time. I was surprised to see that the stores are already promoting "Back To School Sales". I live in a small town and back to school also means fund raisers and cute little school kids coming to the door trying to raise money for their schools. It also brings my families favorite Girl Scout cookies! I just had to smile when I saw this Darling image from THE PAPER SHELTER!
If you haven't checked out their images lately I hop you will click on this link here . I am working hard to try and  get all the new images colored but there are so many fabulous ones that I am having a hard time keeping caught up. I added some Stickles around the image to give her a bit of sparkle. I still haven't decided on a sentiment, but I may make it into a thinking of you card and include a box of girl scout cookies for a deserving friend.
I am entering this card at the following  challenges:
My Song:
Make new friends, but keep the old.
One is silver, the other is gold.
A circle is round, it has no end.
That's how long, I will be your friend.
(I have wonderful memories of my daughter singing this song with her sweet voice!)

Just for Fun!

A look at my homemade pansy's!
 My fun little card!
A closer look at the image.

I took some time today to play a bit with a new image called "Pink Dolls". I will say she was a bigger challenge to color than I first thought she would be. I finally managed to sort out what was what and dealt with the shadows that had been provided. This was my end result. I had trouble coloring the hair with all the shadows, but  I preserved. I am not happy with the results but it was the best I could manage today. I added liquid glass to her specs. I used Stickles to add a bit of sparkle around her and to the butterflies. I made my pansies by punching out small circles and coloring them. I glued them an then added a rhinestone to the center. I thought they turned out kind of cute. I hope you enjoy this card. I had a great time playing today!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Anne Boleyn
In the Tower of London, large as life,
The ghost of Anne Boleyn walks, they declare.
For Anne Boleyn was once King Henry's wife,
Until he had the headsman bob her hair.
Oh, yes, he did her wrong long years ago,
And she comes back at night to tell him so.

Anything But A Card-Promise!

Warning......lots of pictures

 Another view....
 And another.....
 The box I altered.
 before and after
A close up of the lovely image!
Those of you that know me well know that I do not like to alter things. It is just so hard for me to make something look fabulous. I see all the wonderful creations around blog land and wonder why I can't do that. But when I try the project never looks right to me. (I shudder at the thought of having to do an explosion box.) LOL! Anyway, sometimes we are "FORCED" to step out of our comfort zone. So, I am expecting those of you who have the same affliction that I have to give our challenge at "The Paper Shelter" a try! I have several boxes like this that I purchased from Oriental Trading. I made this box into a little Post It Note holder with a tiny calendar attached. I plan on giving it to a friend and hope she will enjoy it.  I look forward to seeing your lovely creations!
I am entering this  box at the following challenges:
My Song:  I Am A Promise
I am a promise
I am a possibility
I am a promise with a capital "P"
I am a great big bundle of potentiality
And I am learnin' to hear God's voice
And I am tryin' to make the right choice
I am a promise to be anything God wants me to be.
I can go anywhere that He wants me to go
I can be anything He wants me to be
I can climb the high mountains
I can cross the wide sea
I'm a great big promise you see!

Nautical?

Love this cute image from Mo Manning! When I saw that ABC Challenge had chosen "Nautical" as our theme I knew I would have to use this cute image. Our lovely sponsor is Wild Orchard Crafts! So you will want to play along this week for a chance to win a fabulous prize. I used Copics to color my image. I had a fun little compass stamp that I grabbed from a dollar bin at a craft store. I stamped, colored and framed it and then added liquid glass. It shines so nice it looks like a button. All of my beautiful flowers are from our lovely sponsor Wild Orchard Crafts. Be sure and check out there lovely selection. I also added some pearls a bit of Stickles and some tiny sea shells.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song: Mary Ann
All day all night is Mary Ann,

Down by the seaside, sifting sand.
Even little children love Mary Ann,
Down by the seaside, sifting sand.

Oh, when she walks long the shore people all she greets,

Wild birds fly her over and fish come to her feet.
In her heart there's love but I'm the only man,
Who's allowed to kiss my, oh Mary Ann.

All day all night is Mary Ann,

Down by the seaside, sifting sand.
Even little children love Mary Ann,
Down by the seaside, sifting sand.

Another look at the image

 The pretty pearls and butterflies
Don't you just love this pretty image from The Paper Shelter. She has such a sweet innocent face. Our fun filled challenge is "Flower Power". My lovely flower is from Tattered Lace (die cut). It is multiple layers and I added Stickles to to various parts to make my flower sparkle. The swirl, leaves and buds all come with the flower die. The butterflies are a Cherry Lynn die and I added pearls and Stickles to them. I hope you will join us for this fun challenge and that you are enjoying spring wherever you are!

Let's Hear It For America! ABC Monochromatic Challenge Card

 A closer look!
 Another monochromatic card!
 A closer look
 f aux stitched stars.
ABC Challenge is Monochromatic such lovely cards are created with a monochromatic scheme.  I realize I might just be rushing the 4th of July but I had to have a go at coloring this cute image from our lovely sponsor "Kenny K"! I love these beautiful shades of golden browns and of course the golden bling, and the platinum glitter add to the beauty of the card. The large stars are punched with SU punches and the tiny ones on the first card are actually metal stars. I used Spica on the had and her clothing to add sparkle. White gel pen for the stitching. I struggled with the hair. I have to get started on my Kit and Clowder coloring classes. I hoping you will see a vast improvement in my coloring. My lovely ribbon came from my BFF Wendy and is from Stamping Up. I will probably save this card for my BIL.  I hope you will join us this week for this fun challenge. I wonder what color you will choose?
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Yankee Doodle Dandy
I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy
A Yankee Doodle, do or die
A real live nephew of my uncle Sam's
Born on the Fourth of July
I've got a Yankee Doodle sweetheart
She's my Yankee Doodle joy
Yankee Doodle came to London
Just to ride the ponies
I am a Yankee Doodle bo
