Happy Thanksgiving!

A closer look at the image!

 The pretty corner die!
I hope you are having a wonderful Thanksgiving! I have scheduled this card as I am now in Missouri visiting extended family. I am probably missing my own family and thinking of them but I am grateful for the time I have with Aunts and Uncles, cousins, my sweet sister-in-law and my baby brother. I know this will be a good-bye visit with several that I am with today. I am grateful that we will someday be together again with our Lord. I pray that you are enjoying your family today. For my family in Idaho have a wonderful day, I love and miss you and wish you all could be with me in Missouri today!  My image is a Saturated Canary image. I used papers from the scrap box to make this card. Greens are not a color that I predominately use but I like the softness of this green. Some pretty flowers from WOC finished of my card.
My Song: Thanksgiving Song
Grateful for each hand we hold
Gathered round this table.
From far and near we travel home,
Blessed that we are able.
Grateful for this sheltered place
With light in every window,
Saying "welcome, welcome, share this feast
Come in away from sorrow."
Father, mother, daughter, son,
Neighbor, friend and friendless;
All together everyone in the gift of loving-kindness.
Grateful for what's understood,
And all that is forgiven;
We try so hard to be good,
To lead a life worth living.

A Card For A Child

Good-morning peeps! I hope you are having a wonderful week! I am scheduling this post as I am off to Georgia. I will be visiting my brother and extended family. So, I am praying that the Schedule thing works! It is time for  another fun challenge at The Paper Shelter. I love this fun image called "Learning Is Fun" and if you click on the link it will take you to it! I had fun coloring this image using my favorite pinks. I added faux stitching on the frame. I added the cute die cut flowers and then placed a sparkly button in the center of each. I am sending this card for a cute little birthday girl at church. I hope she will like it.

My Song:XXX'S and OOO's
Phone rings baby cries TV diet guru lies
Good morning honey
Go to work make up try to keep the balance up
Between love and money
She used to tie her hair up in ribbons and bows
Sign her letters with X's and O's
Got a picture of her mama in heels and pearls
She's gonna make it in her daddy's world
She's an American girl
An American girl

Saying good-bye to fall!

Winter officially hit our valley on November 13th! We had seven inches of snow fall and while it was beautiful, those who had to drive in it had a treacherous trip. Schools closed and kids had a day to sleep in and play in the snow.
This is a scheduled card and hoping all of my scheduled cards work. I am embarrassed to admit that I have lost who the artist is but I "BOUGHT" two digi's from her on etsy and promptly lost who it was. If anyone know please let me know so I can give her credit. It is a lovely image and I loved coloring her. I thought with the beautiful sunflowers she would make a beautiful fall card. I used a Memory Box die for the die cut and added some Stickles for sparkle. Some flat back pearls and liquid pearls add some additional interest. My sentiment on the front was cut with a stitched circle die. Both sentiments inside an out  came from a yard sale purchase. Score! I hope each of you are keeping warm and safe and for those in the USA may you enjoy the blessings of Thanksgiving with those you love.
My Song: Bye Bye Blackbird
Pack up all my cares and woes,
Here I go, singing low,
Bye, bye, blackbird.
Where somebody waits for me,
Sugar is sweet, so is she,
Bye, bye, blackbird.
No one here can love and understand me,
Oh, what hard luck stories they all hand me.
Make my bed and light the light,
I'll arrive late tonight,
Blackbird, bye, bye.

"X" is for X-tra Special!

My goodness, we are almost at the end of our alphabet. It is time for our next challenge at ABC CHALLENGE! Our lovely sponsor is Kenny K. The last six months have been rough for Kenny K and his family. We so appreciate them sponsoring us during this hectic time. I have chosen "Download Diva" for my card. I have always loved her and she is such a fun color! I am making this card for one of the teens at church. She is an extra special teen that has taken care of her grandmother during a long illness. She showed such maturity to spend her summer doing this and I  think she is X-tra special.  I used a pink and grey combination for my card and added some pretty rhinestone brads to bring some sparkle. Paper lace and a paper doily finish off my card. Please come and play with us as you can win some fabulous stamps. I can't wait to see you lovely creations. Have a lovely Thanksgiving. I am scheduling this card as I am in Georgia and Missouri for the next three weeks.
My Song: If That Isn't Love
He left the splendor of heaven
Knowing His destiny
Was the lonely hill of Golgotha
There to lay down His life for me
And if that isn't love
Then the ocean is dry
There's no stars in the sky
And the little sparrows can't fly
Yeah if that isn't love
Then heaven's a myth
There's no feeling like this
If that isn't love
Even in death He remembered
The thief hanging by His side
Then he spoke of love and compassion
And He took him to paradise
And if that isn't love
Then the ocean is dry
There's no stars in the sky
And the little sparrows can't fly
Yeah if that isn't love
Then heaven's a myth
There's no feeling like this
If that isn't love It's got to be love

Happy Fall Ya' All!

A closer look at the image.

The inside of my card.
My bow and pretty adornment.

My bags are packed and I am ready to board the plane. I am flying from Idaho to Georgia. I will be spending Thanksgiving with extended family this year. It will be the first time I have been with my younger brother and sister-in-law in thirteen years. While I am a bit nervous about flying, (by myself) and going through two major airports I have never been in, I am also excited to see my extended family. It will also be the first time my husband and I have been apart for the holidays in 43 years. I know it will be a different experience for both of us.
Enough about me, on to my card. this is another cute image from "Wee" stamps. I love fall colors and thought the leaves were so pretty once I colored them. I used a craft card stock and added some pretty scraps from my scrap basket. I had some pretty ruffled ribbon that matched perfectly that I added to the bottom of the card. I added a bow and a pretty pearl/rhinestone adornment to the center. Some gold half back pearls and Stickles around the image finished off my card. The sentiment is a "yard sale" stamp I bought for five cents. Love the bargain I got there.  I hope each of you are blessed this Thanksgiving holiday and for my friends across the pond,  may you be blessed also.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song: Give Thanks
Give thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks to the Holy One
Give thanks because He's given Jesus Christ, His Son
Give thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks to the Holy One
Give thanks because He's given Jesus Christ, His Son
And now let the weak say, "I am strong"
Let the poor say, "I am rich
Because of what the Lord has done for us"
Give thanks!

Need A Little Sun?

A closer look at the image!
 Another look
 Pretty Flowers!
I thought maybe you could do with a bit of sunshine today.  I wanted to give this cute image a color as I have been horrible behind on my coloring. I know many of us are enjoying cold temperatures so maybe this will warm you up a bit. LOL! You can find this image at THE PAPER SHELTER  the name of the image is "Lifeguard On Duty 2" .
My flowers are from WOC, I love the pretty colors and just had to add them to my card. I added pretty little pearls and rhinestones to my die cut. The sunglasses are a fun little button. I hope you enjoy a little sunshine in your life today. Have a day of blessings!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Walkin' in the Sunshine
Walkin' in the sunshine sing a little sunshine song
Put a smile upon your face as if there's nothing wrong

For The Man In Your Life

Don't just love this little guy? You can find him at the fabulous PAPER SHELTER  he is called "Brave and Cute Knight" and can be found here! Our challenge is "For The Man In Your Life". I don't know about you, but I am always in need of 'guy' cards. This brave and cute knight is so versatile that he can be used for both young and old. This little guy is such a fun color that I will be doing some more of him to add to my stash of guy cards. I hope you will take time from your busy Thanksgiving schedule and join us at THE PAPER SHELTER for this fun challenge.
This is a scheduled post as I am on my way from Idaho to Georgia, Alabama, and then to Missouri to spend Thanksgiving with my younger brother and Aunts an Uncles. I am sure I will be missing my husband, children and grandsons, but I will cherish the time I have with the extended members of my family. I hope your Thanksgiving is full of blessings.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:

My Song: My Guy
Nothing you can say,
Can tear me away,
From my guy.
Nothing you could do,
'Cause I'm stuck like glue,
To my guy.
I'm sticking to my guy,
Like a stamp to a letter,
Like birds of a feather,
We, stick together,
I can tell you from the start,
I can't be torn apart from my guy.
Nothing you could do,
Could make me be untrue,
To my guy.

Love and miss you Steve! (my guy)

"W" Is For Water

Has your fall been a wet one? This challenge made me smile as some have had lots of wet, watery days! But you can go with a beach theme, ocean, sailing, or fish....what ever has to do with water. That should give you a diversity to pick from for this  challenge at ABC CHALLENGE!  Our delightful sponsors are Marianne Designs  where you will find lovely dies. Our other sponsor is the Ribbon Girl. If you have not perused this shop you have missed some of the loveliest lace, ribbons, flat back pearls, buttons....and on and on. Check them out you will not be disappointed!  I used a Saturated Canary image for my card and one of my newest and prettiest dies from Marianne Designs. I added the flat back pearls that you can find at the Ribbon Girl. A little Stickles for sparkle finished off my card. (So, what do you think of the wild hair color?) I had so much fun coloring this and let myself get a little wild! Join us for this fun challenge. I can't wait to see your take on this challenge!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: The Mermaid Song
When I was a lad in a fishing town
My old man said to me:
"You can spend your life, your jolly life
  Sailing on the sea.
You can search the world for pretty girls
Til your eyes grow weak and dim,
But don't go fishing for a mermaid, son
If you don't know how to swim"
