"Merry Christmas"

This will be my last entry for a couple of days. I am going to work at the elections this week so I will have two full days tomorrow and Tuesday. (I'll probably suffer from withdrawal!) LOL. I have to admit this Magnolia is one of my older ones, but it is also a favorite. I colored the image with copics, and used paper scraps to make this card. I added a pleated ribbon and some flowers from Wild Orchids. My sentiment is from SU.  I added rhinestones for a little bling to finish off my card.

"Candy Cane Wishes"

This little h'Angler is such a sweet little image. I colored her with Copics and popped her on the new candy cane stamp I have from Magnolia. It was the perfect image for her to sit on. I framed her with a bronze pater that I cut out from a Nestabilities die. My sentiment is from SU. I sponged it and the edges of my card with 'close to cocoa' ink. I added some rhinestones  and a little green lace to finish off my Christmas card.

"All My Thanks"

I have been blessed in so many ways. While my blessings aren't material things or wealth I feel that I have riches beyond compare. I have the love of my Lord, my husband, my family and friends. A special friend "Amanda" sent me a package. When the package arrived it was filled with all kinds of goodies that I can't wait to use. I can not tell you how much this kindness brightened my day and touched my heart. If you look close at my card you will seed the lovely printed paper that is actually just a tan piece of paper that I stamped a background stamp on an added perfect pearls to. The picture does not capture the beautiful sheen this created. I framed my image with Nestabilites and added bronze rhinestones. I used an embossing folder on the dark chocolate brown and a SU sentiment. I finished off my card with a golden sheer bow. Check out Amanda's wonderful blog at http://cardscatsandcopics.blogspot.com/ You will be treated to some fantastic cards. Thanks Amanda (and you can show up on my doorstep anytime)!

"Christmas Carols"

I have a confession to make. I am a Christmas lover! I love the music, the lights, the trees, the smells, the wrapped packages, my cute strip quilted stockings. I love it all. My husband....is not a lover of Christmas. He does a lot of muttering and grumbling during this time. LOL! I think that is why I really like this LOTV image. I colored the image with Copics. (Don't you just love the dog singing along!) I added snow falling with my crop-a-dile and then placed a drop of glue on each an added glitter. I added glitter to the fur on the girls hats and coat and on the snow. I had two poinsettia buttons that I popped on my paper ribbons. I also added three snow flake buttons and my sentiment if from SU.

Elaine's Fantastic Candy!

Elaine at http://atechnophobesblog.blogspot.com/ has some fantastic candy! Check it out but remember  I NEED to win it! LOL!

Thanks For A Friend!

I am so blessed to have a group of wonderful friends. We get together once a month for dinner and lots of chatter and laughter. We call ourselves the "Stampin Grannies".  We all scrapbook, card make or craft. Last week three of us got together to make 'paper pine cones'. We had so much fun and I will admit my first ones are probably not the the best but I did have a lot of fun creating them! I have a book by Susan Tierney Cockburn and oh my, the flowers in it are fantastic. You can find all of the pproducts you need to create these flowers and  pine cones at http://joanscreations.blogspot.com/ . Joan is great to order from. Also there is a great instructions from her designer Selma at http://joanscreations.blogspot.com/
that will guide you through making the pine cones. The image is from Sarah Kay and I colored it with Copics. My dp is from SU and I framed my image with Nestablities. I added my pine cone, some eyelash yarn, punched leaves, roses from Wild Orchid crafts, rhinestones and a golden ribbon.

"Pink Joy"

I think my husband is worried that I may decorate our house in pink for Christmas this year. I have made so many 'non traditional' Christmas cards. LOL! This wonderful little digi is from Mami Doodles. Check out her fun digi art. She is fast becoming one of my favorites. This cutie was a freebie! You can find her here http://mamidoodles.blogspot.com/  I colored my image with Copics and used pieces of paper from my scrap box.  I added Viva glass to her beads and fun flock to her  fur! I had three pink heart buttons that I used white crochet thread on.  Thre pink pearls and my sentiment and I have a great card for Christmas. This image comes with two bag choices and this image would make a nice winter birthday card, a darling thank you etc.  Have a great day and blessings to each of you!

"Frosty Friends"

I wish my photography skills were better. This picture is just not as good as the 'real' thing. Does anyone else ever think that. This is my second card with this cute little digi. I colored him with Copics and added Viva glitter and Viva glass effects. He really does sparkle and shine! I added a little sheer bow and popped a button on it. I used rhinestones in the corners t finish off my card. A fun little Christmas card!

"A Holiday Hello!"

I just fell in love with this free digi. Snowmen are so cute anyway, but this guy has a lot of charm! I colored my image with Copics. I added a little Viva glitter and Viva glass accents. I am really enjoying the Viva products. I cut my snowflakes out with my Cricut...YES! Wendy I have a Cricut! LOL! I used my Crop-A-Dile to add some snow falling. I would love to have the embossing folder that looks like snow falling but I have not been able to find it so I am improvising with my Crop-A-Dile. The circle sentiment is from SU. I added some rhinestones to bling the snowflakes. My paper is all scrap pieces. The inside sentiment is a Stampede stamp (I think!). I used a MS boarder punch and SU stamped snowflakes.

"Santa's Little Helper"

Don't you just love this little guy? He is a digi from Marina Neira. I just think he is adorable. I have two grandsons who are even more adorable than this guy. I am making up some cards to send them so they will get their own mail. I like to send them the same card but different so they can tell them apart.
I colored this little guy with Copics. On the first card I added roses from Wild Orchids and button snowflakes. I also added rhinestones and a sheer ribbon to finish off the card.  The second card I added felt poinsettias with pearls in the center. The inside sentiment (which is the same on both cards) is from SU as are the snowflakes.

"Get Well Soon!"

I always like to have a few get well cards on hand.  I couldn't wait to ink this little Gillian Roberts stamp from  Stampavie up. I colored the image with Copics. Isn't she just the cutest? My sentiment is from SU and I also used SU punches to frame the sentiment. I used a MS boarder punch and added rhinestones to my swirls to finish off this card.

"When Life Knocks You On Your Knees"

What is it they say about "best laid plans often go a stray"? I originally planed to make this card for ODB and PMM using their sketch. Unfortunately I used last weeks sketch. LOL!  I really don't mind as I liked the sketch and it worked with my lovely stamp from ODB. I knew the minute I saw this stamp I had to have it. I am using it for a get well card for a friend who is expecting and had a blood clot form in her lungs. I used Nestabilities to frame the sentiment, and added three back rhinestones in the corner. The inside sentiment is from SU. I am entering this card at the following challenges:

"Let It Snow, Snow Snow"

Since the weather forecast is for snow flurries today I thought I would do this little card with snowflakes. This is a Magnolia stamp that I colored with Copics. I followed the sketch at Priscilla's Midnight Madness and added snowflake buttons. I also added a white ribbon and popped a little reindeer button on the bow. The sentiment on the inside is from SU. "A Blue, Blue Christmas!"

You can tell how dark and dreary it is at our house my the light on these cards. It is pouring the rain and the wind is howling. Ugh! I think winter is just around the corner. I did this card for the Kenny K challenge. We are supposed to use two of something. So I used two blue papers, 2 snowflakes, 2 tabs, and 2 ribbons. I colored my image with Copics. Just a fun little card to add to my Christmas stash!

Happy Birthday Tilda

This is the first time I have colored this Tilda. She is such a girly stamp. I colored the image with Copics and thought she fit the 'pink and pearls' theme at Totally Tilda quiet well. I framed her with my Nesties and used some pink chalk to to help 'sit' her in the frame. I used a MS boarder punch and my sentiment on the inside is from Blue Mountain stamps. I finished the card off with pearls and a brown bow. I am entering this card at the following challenges:

"Winter Fun!"

Have you had one of those "Oh, No!" moments? I did on this card. After coloring I decided to add a liquid glass to my ice. I will admit that my bottle was quiet old. After adding the liquid glass I watched it darken and darken my soft color and only added glass in certain areas. I tried adding some fine glitter to lighten it...that didn't work. So, to make a long story short...I went with it! I added roses, tinsel, and snow flakes to finish off my card. The inside I added rhinestones to the Christmas fern. Clean and Simple Christmas Cards!

My daughter wants to make Christmas cards. She doesn't want to stamp a lot (she doesn't like stamping) and she doesn't want anything she has to color (she doesn't like to color). These are the three samples I came up with for her. I used my wonderful snowflake dies and popped some rhinestones on them to give the card 'bling'. I am hoping she likes to emboss! LOL. I will post a picture of her creations when she makes them.

"The Real Queen of Our Household!"

I thought I would share with you the ruler in our household! Shela came to us nine years ago. She was a pound puppy and the day we got her was to be her last. She has brought us unending love, laughter and at times frustration. She has a sweet, gentle nature, we have always joked she would lick an intruder to death! She has also 'snuck' in on our bed to have a nap in the sunshine. I have a blanket on our bed to protect it from these little naps but, as you can see, she is only half on it. LOL! I urge anyone who is considering a pet to check out their local shelter. Have a blessed day!

"Happy Halloween Mummy!"

I had a chance to play this morning so I decided to do a card for a few challenges! I love this 'Mummy' from Sassy.  I used dp that is non traditional colors for Halloween, no orange or black. I colored my image with Copics. I used 'cantelope' to ink around the image. I added a 'boo' ticket and two brass buttons. The sentiment is a clear stamp I have had for some time. The 'kitty' was a freebie. I wish he was clearer in my photo as he has an adorable grumpy face.

"A 'hangler Merry Christmas"

I love my 'hangler stamps. I just wish I had more of them. I also wish someone could sell them in the USA! WHINE! My easel card is another for my Christmas stash. I colored my image With Copics and framed her with "Nesties". I added some snowflakes with my crop-a-dile and also added snowflake buttons and heart rhinestones. My sentiment is from Stamping Up and my dp is from The Paper Studio. A fun little card. I entering this card at the following challenges:

"Tilda & A Candy Cane"

I stayed up far to late last night playing. The candy cane is a new image and my Tilda is from last year. I know it was too late when I was doing this card as  I have her floating  above the bow. I did have her sitting on the bow when I was doing my 'dry' placement. LOL!  I colored the image with Copics and my lovely poinsettias are handmade using my new dies from my wonderful friend Elaine. Oh, I am just loving those dies.  I added snow falling with my white copic paint.  Another Christmas card for my stash only 19 to go!

"Like That's Going To Happen!"

I have already told you that I am close to my brother-in-laws. This birthday card is for my brother-in-law Clark. His birthday is this Saturday. Clark is my hero. He was the donor for my husband's kidney transplant. Because of his gift my husband is still with our family, has seen the birth of his grand kids and we have had the gift of precious time together. Having said that, I still have to razz him. So, Happy Birthday  Clark! My front image is from Kenny Kiernam, and the inside image is called Fairy Godmother. I am sorry but I  don't know the artist. The images were colored with Copics. I added a silver pen to the front image on the boots, rivets, and earrings. I added glitter to the fair godmother's wings and Spica pen to her gown and wand. The sentiment is computer generated and framed with Nestabilities. I hope Clark has as much fun with this card as I did making it!

Merry Christmas Mick!

Over the last 39 years I have been very fortunate to have a wonderful relationship with my brother-in-laws. They are my family and I love them. Having said that I will also say that over the years we have razzed each other constantly. So, this card is for my brother-in-law Mick! I just had to give him a little tease. My first image if from Kenny Kiernam and the second one is from Mo Manning. I colored both with Copics. I added some snow of the white background frame with my Crop-A-Dial. I framed both images with Nestabilities and the sentiments are computer generated. I add rhinestones, buttons and bows to complete my card. Blessings to each of you and Merry Christmas to Mick!

Cards From Luke And Logan!

My two grandsons, Luke and Logan surprised their Papa and Grammy with these lovely homemade cards. From the time they both entered our world they have brought us countless joy. We were heartbroken the day they had to move so far away from us and we miss the close contact we had when they were just five minutes from our house. Their mommy and daddy are doing a wonderful job helping to mold them into wonderful little boys. As you can tell I am very proud of them and love them with all my heart. I wanted to share their wonderful homemade cards with you. Luke turned five in August and Logan turned three in May. I think they are wonderful artists and I hope they are excited about appearing on Grammies blog! Luke I love you to the moon and back and Logan I love you more than all the stars!

"Friends Like You"

I have been reminded today that I am blessed with friends, new, old and cyber. For each one of my friends out there I want to say thank you. Since my husband and I received two handmade cards from our grandsons today I have also been reminded how much joy a card can bring. I made this card for Midnight Madness. I loved the sketch and I used one of my LOTV stamps. I colored my image with Copics. I added a pearl ribbon slide and then popped a Stickled rose in the center of it. A fun little card that I intend to send to a friend. Blessings to each of you. I am entering this card at the following challenges:

"Snow Day 2"

This card is the companion to an earlier card I posted. The image on that  card was a boy. These cute digi images are from Ingar Harding. I did this card for a sketch challenge, but I know that I am going to add more to the sketch. It just doesn't seem complete to me. I colored the image with Copics. All my paper is from my scrap box and the ribbon is from my stash. I haven't made a dent in my scrap box! LOL

"Thinking of You"

I guess I was feeling 'girly' this afternoon. I had this cute little h'Angler and just wanted to make a card that looked girly. I colored the image with Copics. My dp is from My Minds Eye. It is lovely paper and fun to use. I used a MS boarder punch and added roses from Wild Orchids. My sentiment is from ODB. I love using the stamps I have from there and I am saving my pennies so I can get some more. I am entering this card at the following challenges:

"Apple Annie"

I think I must have apples on my mind! I know I have been eating them a lot lately! The weather is perfect for  apples right now. I love to drive around and see them hanging on the trees in great abundance. We have several spot in our town where 'fruit and veggie stands' operate. One man has his grand kids working at his and I get a kick out of the kids as they are pretty young but are very serious about their work! I love small town living! This cute little image is from Mo Manning. I love her digi images. I colored the image with Copics and used scraps for my card. I used a SU sentiment and framed it with SU punches. I added my apple branches (hey, I have an artistic license) and dotted them with some Stickle apples. I popped on three buttons to finish this card.
