This is another new image from Mo Manning. Don't you just love her new Christmas images? She is a very talented artist. I just needed a quiet time to do a bit of coloring and escape from the world today. I set up for a funeral dinner at our church and so a color escape was nice for me. There is nothing really new or special about this card, just a new  one for the Christmas stash!

Chirstmas Carol

Isn't this the sweetest little image? It is a Mo Manning! I colored her with Copics and added glitter to her wings and the snow. I cut the image out with a CM cutter. I added a christmas trim to the edge and used my crop-a-dile to make snow flakes around the edge of the card. This is just another card for my Christmas card stash!

Some Enchanted Evening!

The Saturated Canary has their second challenge going, this time it is stitching. I love Krista Smith's images and so I just had to play again. I decided tp have a little play with my greens today. I wish I could take better pictures as I never get the true colors with my camera. LOL! I framed the image and then hand stitched around it. I added Viva liquid pearls between the stitching. I used a die cut and wove a white satin ribbon in it. I added ribbon lace, mulberry flowers and some seed pearls to finish off this fun card. I am entering this card at the following challenges:

Re-Color---repost "What Was I Thinking!"

Last week I made a card that I hated. I had a suggestion that since my color choice was not the best for the night shirt and night hat, that I recolor them with my Copics, so I did! While this is not my best coloring job it does make the card look much better don't you think? I do love that with alcohol markers you can do this sort of thing. If you look at the close up you can see that a bit of the lavender still peeks through but it looks like a back light. Hope your week is going well...blessings!

"Blue Moon"

There are so many wonderful artists creating images. Sylvia Zet is one of those. This beautiful fairy is one of her images and I love coloring her. I wanted to keep my colors monochromatic. What looks like white is really a very pale blue. I used Copics to color the image and framed her with a Lifestyle die and a Spellbinders die. I added Viva liquid pearls. I added some hand stitching  and a sentiment from SU.

Make Believe!

This is my version of CAS. I love this little bear and I wanted to make the box look like cardboard. Since my browns are limited I decided to make him a grey bear! A little liquid glass and my card was done! I must add that I love watching little ones playing make believe! It is often the small things in life that are the most important! Blessings!

I had to do one more card with this image...I had it stamped and didn't want it to be wasted! LOL! I also wanted to use my fingernail polish technique (sounds better than smearing finger nail polish) on the snowflakes! I added a sheer bow and a Christmas tree charm to finish of this card. Another for the Christmas card stash!

Mojo Monday!

I don't know why my colors look like day-glow...honest Amanda they're not! LOL! Like everyone my cards look so much better IRL! The mojo sketch this week is just for fun and I took a few liberties with it. I have been hoarding this flower from my good friend Glenda, waiting for just the right card to put it on. The sketch had the diamond shape further under the image, but I wanted the flow to pop out and show. I think it would look lovely on the card without an image don't you! "Let It Be Christmas"

I have to admit I love making Christmas cards. This image is so fun that I know I will use it over and over....be prepared. I colored the image (Krista Smith) with Copics and added glitter to the snow. I added Spica pen to the small snowflakes. I added a tinsel trim. I added felt mittens from SU. Just another fun card for the Christmas stash!

Friend

I don't know what it is about this stamp that appeals to me so much, but I do love it. I think because they look like a happy little couple. I followed the sketch at the Sugar Bowl (OK...I did get one little thing a bit out of order...but it still works! LOL! I colored the image with Copics. I added some Spica pen and glitter to hat and snow. I added a scalloped boarder with a MS punch and added some lace. The sentiment is from SU. Another Christmas card for my stash! I think I have about 50 cards to go.

"Second Hand Rose"

Growing up my parents didn't have much money. My mom could stretch a dollar and make the most of what we had. I often received second-hand clothing. My mom was a master with a needle and thread and she would remake the hand-me-downs into something new for me. I colored my image with Copics. I wanted to keep the card very simple. I had a 'creepy cloth' that I found at the local dollar store and tied it into a knot. I thought it gave my card a 'tattered' look. I hope you enjoy this card and that your memories are filled with love and joy! Blessings!

What was I thinking?

Do you ever have one of those cards that just doesn't work out and you really hate it when it id done? This is my card. I think it might be the lavenders...what was I thinking? Anyway this card is done and I will move on. I guess we have to expect failures along the way and this is one for me!

What's Your Shape?

Kenny K's Krafty Girlz are having a great challenge this week....a shaped card! I didn't go for a drastic shape...but, it is a shape. For this card I chose the "Milkshake" image and colored it with Copics. I hand cut....(HOURS!) the image and all the little hearts out and then mounted the image and hearts on foam. I added liquid glass to the hearts and the cherry to make them shine. I added a metal sentiment charm and three Mulberry roses to finish off my card. A Tilda Card

I love the muted colors in this card. This is one of my favorite Tilda images. I colored her with Copics. I followed the sketch at http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com/ . I did add an extra layer behind my image, but I felt it needed it. I made my rolled roses out of felt and added ribbon and two leaf styles to finish off this card. "How Great Thou Art"

I always put off making a 'guy' card. I am just not good at 'guy' cards. But, I needed a guy birthday card before next Sunday. So, I dug out my SU stamps and this is what I came up with. The coloring was really simple as the stamp does the shading for you. I used a LOTV sentiment. and the leaves are also from SU. I stamped them on some green cardstock and then cut them out and popped them with foam. A very simple card, but it works for a 'guy' card! (No bling, no sparkle!)

Could This Be Any Brighter?

It has been dark, cold and rainy today! Soooooooo, I think it might have been the excuse, I mean reason, this card is so bright! I did have fun coloring it, but it is bright! Oh, well, maybe someone will like  it when the days are dark and cold! LOL! This is another stamp from SN. I added flocking to her had and scarf. I added what is supposed to be white glitter, but it definitely has a yellow tinge to it. Does glitter get old? I also used my Memory box die for the top and bottom  of my card. Hopefully this card will brighten your day!

"Santa Baby"

I had a good play time with this card. I had read somewhere that finger nail polish is a fun way to add a different look to die cuts. So I made a trip to the local Dollar store and picked up a bottle of black, red, gold and purple polish. I am sure the cashier was thinking I was way out of my league with those color choices. LOL! I used the red on the edge of My Spellbinder Die cut and on the the snowflakes. I sprinkled the snowflakes with glitter, but then wished I hadn't as I really liked the look with just the finger nail polish. It dries fairly fast, but depending on the brand also depends on the 'quality' of brush you get with the bottle! I definitely will try this technique again! This cute stamp is from SN . I added flock to the fur on his suit and hat. I added a sheer ribbon and a charm to complete this Christmas card.

"Happy Halloween"

Isn't this Zombie a hoot! The image is from Just Inklined. My grandson Logan has been asking me for Halloween cards and so I had a good play with these. As you know I always do two cards that are alike but a bit different to send the two grandsons. I found these cute bat brads at Oriental Trader. They do have some cute embellishments for a good price. The 'google' eyes are from my stash. The DP is from DCWV 'Fall Stack' from last year. Just a fun little zombie for my sweet little guys!

I Believe!

I love this chubby little fairy....I think she might look a lot like me! LOL! I wanted to make this a non-traditional Christmas card and I may change the sentiment, but for now this works. I colored the image with Copics. I decided to have a bit of fun with my glitter, and flocking. I added flocking to the hate and coat, then I used ice flocking on the hat's pompom. It is just a longer flocking and gives a little different look. I added sparkle to the wings with glitter. I cut the image out with a CM circle cutter and framed it with the the same cutter. I added a Spellbinders label and a LOTV sentiment. Just a fun little card for my Christmas stash!

I think I love making Christmas cards because I can sparkle to my hearts content! LOL! This is such a fun little stamp from SN. I love these cute snowmen, OK....I just love snowmen. I followed the sketch at MOJO Monday. I colored my image with Copics and added a bit of Spica pen to the strings and glitter to the stocking cap and the snow. I used a Magnolia die for the paper lace and a MS punch for the icicles. I used a CM circle cutter to cut out the image and to frame it.  I added a plaid ribbon to finish off my fun little Christmas card.  I am entering this card at the following challenges:

It's that time again for another Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge! This week is so much fun it's all about dies! I don't know about you, but I love my dies. I used this Spellbinders die as my 'hockey net' I cut one die and used dry wall tape to cover it and then framed it with the next size. I thought it worked pretty good don't you? I wanted to send this card to my daughter. She has weathered a few storms the last few months and I just wanted her to know that I have kept her in my prayers and that she was loved. As you can tell this is another card that I played with for  ABC DT challenge. Why do we doubt ourselves and the cards we create? This cute image is from Krista Smith. I framed her with a Lifestyle die. I used two MS punches for the paper lace. I punched the heart with an 'old' Marvy punch and then hand stitched around it. The sentiment is from SU. I added half pearls to finish off my card.

"Hello Country Bumpkin"

My two grandsons Skyped me and they were excited because they were going to go to the "pumpkin patch". It was so fun to hear how excited they were about this adventure. I wanted to send them a card and see how there pumpkin patch adventure went. I thought this would be the perfect image for their cards. As you know I make each of them a card (so they each get their own mail) but try and make them alike but different. I also wanted to use my Memory Box die. I know it is a winter die, but it made me think of 'frost' on the pumpkin! LOL! I hope you enjoy these cards!

I was fortunate enough to be chosen as a winner at MMSC and won a $20.00 gift certificate at The Paper Shelter. This is just one of the cute images that I purchased. How fun is this little one for fall? I colored the image with Copics and framed her with a Spellbinders die. I added some felt acorns and a LOTV sentiment. I used a MS punch for my lace. Just a cute little 'fall' card. This card is for a special young lady from church who was at SYATP  (see you at the pole) this year. I am proud of her for standing up for her faith in front of her peer group! Happy fall Laurel!

"A Is For ANYTHING GOES" ABC Challenge!

I was so excited when I received an e-mail from "Jan" , from the ABC Challenge Blog ,  asking me to be on their DT. It took me 2 seconds to say yes! LOL! When I first started making cards I played in the ABC Challenge. Then sadly they closed the challenge, I was so excited to hear they were coming back and that excitement turned to pure joy thinking I was going to be on their DT. This is my first card for the team and I am so nervous about it. I actually did four other cards and found something I didn't like about each one. I used this lovely image from Krista Smith she has some wonderful images and I think I might want them all. LOL! I colored the image with Copics and added some glitter to her skirt and slip. I had originally planned to do a white on white card, but then as often happens with me, I took a fork in the road. I dry embossed each of my panels. The left side is a Cuttlebug folder and the right side is Sizzix. I cut my flowers with a Magnolia die and inked the edges and then curled the petals. I added a pink rhinestone brad to the center of each flower. I used my wonderful leaf punch and then glittered the leaves.  (I do love the sparkle)! A sheer pink ribbon and a heart charm finish off my ABC card. I hope each of you will hop over to the ABC Challenge Blog and join in the fun! The challenge is "ANYTHING GOES".
