Put A Little Love In Your Heart

 A closer look!
 Even closer!
 The inside of my card!
As some of you know the Chapman household has been hit with that nasty flu bug. This is day nine for me and I still feel ucky! (I also sound like a foghorn with this horrid cough). Having complained and explained why I have watched a bit more news on TV while I have been sick. I was struck how nasty everything is anymore. I don't care which side of politics you are on or how you voted. It is time for people to start being nicer to one another. I truly believe you can disagree with someone or take a different view without attacking that person and showing hate. What are we teaching our children if we act this way? I know we have seen it even in our craft world. This one doesn't like that one and this one is deciding who is bad and who is good. It is all so sad and well, quiet frankly hateful. I am going to make a special effort to be kinder with my words and actions this year. When I enter a challenge I am going to find others cards to say a kind and encouraging comment about. I will try and leave a congratulations to the winners and be happy for them. I recently received a remark about how 'people like me' just like those ridiculous big eyed stamps. Well, I do like them and I will continue to use them as long as I can. Words can cause a lasting hurt so I challenge each of you to choose your words wisely and look for ways to encourage others. We don't know what an individual may be going through and it might just be your kind words that encourage them when they need it most. So have a great day and know how much I  appreciate each of you.

Now on to my card. This cute stamp is from Cute As A Button and she is called "DOC"    you can click on the links to find the shop and the stamps. This stamp is one of the 'seven' dwarfs set. Love this set as it is so versatile. I am going to use 'Doc" for a valentine card.  I added Glassy Accents to the glasses and Spica pen to the buttons and buckles. The heart die cut is a new one and the 'love' is an old one I have had for several years. I don't remember the companies and my head huts too bad to go look.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Put a Little Love In Your Heart (Jackie DeShannon)
Think of your fellow man
Lend him a helping hand
Put a little love in your heart
You see it's getting late
Oh, please don't hesitate
Put a little love in your heart
And the world will be a better place [x2]
For you and me
You just wait and see
Another day goes by
Still the children cry
Put a little love in your heart
If you want the world to know
We won't let hatred grow
Put a little love in your heart
