"On Your Anniversary"

This card looks as if it should be very simple and easy to do. NOT! It took me forever! I embossed the light pink card stock with one of my favorite embossing folders. It was a gift from Janie (see her beautiful card at: http://janiescreativecorner.blogspot.com/ it is wonderful!) I do love the effect this embossing folder gives. The h-aenglar image is colored with copics. Now for the hard part (for me)!
Fist I cut out the little tiny hearts. Then I used crochet thread to string them together, I think they would have looked great if I had stopped there, but no, I had to add liquid glass to them. That's when things started going down hill. I dripped the liquid glass on my card...hence I covered that mess with my sentiment. Then after about three times of sticking my fingers in the wet  liquid glass I finally let it dry. I then punched out a strip of lace with a boarder punch. I clipped the backside of the lace so I could put it around the oval frame. I added a bow to finish off my card.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Even if it took awhile it still looks nice. I like how you used the border punch to edge your image.

A little trouble but well worth the effort. If you hadn't told us we would NEVER have known you had to cover up a little glue. Not than any of us has EVER done that ... I'm the "Queen" of covering up mistakes. Why do you think I put all those flowers on my cards?
The finished effect was worth all you went thru as it turned out to be another little masterpiece. Beautifully colored & such a wonderful image ...
Hugs, Janie

Although it sounds like it was a headache (we've ALL had those cards) it was worth it in the end. I LOVE the lace border around the image. What a great idea. The little hearts look really nice too. Hope to see you again for the next challenge.
