"What Comfort Zone"

I made this card for the 1st Challenge of the year at Joan's Garden. Joan said to work outside our comfort zone, this card is definitely it! If you look at the history of cards on my blog you will know this is NOT my style at all. Having said that, I have to say once I had a plan in my head I did have fun with it. (At least, I think I did!) LOL! The lovely flower (which really saved my card) is from my fabulous friend Glenda. Thanks Glenda, you helped make my card come together. The die cut bird is another Christmas present from my sweet friend Elaine. I have been dying to use this die and it was perfect for this card and challenge! Don't you agree? I added some paper lace boarders and a ribbon to finish of my card. I have to admit it was good for me to think and create outside the box. It was really hard for me to do a card that I didn't color something on! LOL!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

Oh Patty, It would be out of my comfort zone too. I always think there has to be a stamped and coloured image on my cards, but it's always good to try something new and stretch ourselves.
I do love your paper lace borders and Glenda's flower is gorgeous.

Love and hugs
