You Never Let Go

This image is so special to me. I entered a contest that Krista Smith had where you suggested an idea for an image and if she picked your idea  you got the image free. I won with this idea. As a kid my mom took my brothers and myself to the orchards in our valley and I learned to pick fruit to make money for my school clothes and supplies. It was hard work but if is also one of my fondest memories. Now, most of the orchards have been removed to make room for housing developments. What orchards remain the fruit is picked by contracted crews. I miss the 'good ole days'. Today was my mom's birthday. She has been gone eleven years and I still miss her and wish we could have had more time together.I think of her each time I color this image.  Anyway....on to my card. I used both twin markers and Copics to color my image. I added liquid glass to her eyes and to the apples. The paper is  a hodge podge from the scrap box. A fun card that will go to a friend for their birthday. I hope your week is starting off with happy thoughts. Blessings!
My Song:  You Never Let Go!
Oh no, You never let go
Through the calm and through the storm
Oh no, You never let go
In every high and every low
Oh no, You never let go
Lord, You never let go of me

I Hope You Dance

When my daughter was little she took ballet, tap and jazz dance lessons. She was so cute up on stage dancing and doing her little programs. I think that is why this is one of my favorite Tilda images. I added lots of liquid pearls, and stickles. The paper lace is a Magnolia die and is one of my favorites. I spent forever picking my paper and then covered most of it up....does that make any since at all? This is one more of the lost cards. but I know it will be  a card that finds a home with my daughter....just to brighten her day.
I want to point out her hair....I am so jazzed as I think I am beginning to get the hang of it....lol....for those of you who find it easy to color hair....argh....I don't!  Have a great week and enjoy the challenges that come your way!
My Song: I Hope You Dance
I  hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance

"I Didn't Do It"

I think if you have ever raised children at least one of them has experimented with scissors and their hair. My daughter cut her bangs  and my son cut a little girls hair in the Sunday School preschool class. He was three. LOL....both of them had this same look on their face. This image is a "Mo Manning" image called 'I didn't do it'.  I had some of those 'nifty' sheer roses.....not sure I am so wild about them after using them. They always look so nice on other people's cards and they look not so nice on mine. I did add some pearls and chipboard for interest. I don't think this is one of my favorite cards but I am sharing it anyway. Hope your day is filled with blessings.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:

My Song: Lord, I need you (she does have that look)
Lord I come, I confess
Bowing here I find my rest
Without You I fall apart
You're the one that guides my heart
Lord, I need You, oh I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You

A Christmas Fairy

This is a lovely 'Wee" image. She is one of my favorites to color and use at Christmas. I just had a wonderful thought....I am officially ahead on my Christmas cards for next year! HA!  The paper lace is a die my DH bought me. I just love it and I added red 'berries' with Stickles. I used Copics and Twin markers to color my image and lots of Stickles, Spica pens, and glitter on this card. A cute little ribbon and a scallop die cut finished off my card.  i hope you enjoy a peek at Christmas to come....ha....I am so relieved that I am not forgetful.....just well prepared for next Christmas.
My Song: (Chris Tomlin)
There's a peace I've come to know
Though my heart and flesh may fail
There's an anchor for my soul
I can say "It is well"
Jesus has overcome
And the grave is overwhelmed
The victory is won
He is risen from the dead
And I will rise when He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise
I will rise
