Heartfelt Fishing?

I really wanted to play in the Saturated Canary challenge as I have been missing far too many of my favorite challenges. This week's challenge is a color challenge. I hope I got my colors right. Color challenges are always hard for me. I don't know why but there you go. I used my friend Amanda's advice for coordinating my papers. What do you think Amanda, did I get it right? My Spellbinder die is a new Christmas present. I must admit I struggled with it. I used wax paper rolled it several times through my Big Shot and still it stuck in the die. Finally I managed to get it unstuck, but it was a lot of work. My paper is DCWV 'Linen Closet' . One of my favorite paper stacks. I hope you are all enjoying your Sunday and that the second half of the game will bring some great things for the '49'ers.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:

My Song:: Because You Loved Me

For all those times you stood by me
For all the truth that you made me see
For all the joy you brought to my life
For all the wrong that you made right
For every dream you made come true
For all the love I found in you
I'll be forever thankful baby
You're the one who held me up
Never let me fall
You're the one who saw me through through it all

You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am

Because you loved me

Now this is a beauty I haven't seen yet. I've never seen a cuter fishermen & that pole is too cute!!
As I'm sure Amanda told you these colors work wonderfully & those eyes are like looking in the mirrow except mine are brown & don'rt have that spark in them anymore .. BUT she is a real cutue & you colored & dressed her well my friend...That new die might be a pain to get out but it certailny looks natural sitting there on the creek bank ...It's a nice addition to yourr little scene.
Hugs, Janie

She's just lovely Patty & you picked wonderful papers to go with her. They just keep making more of these darling images & before I get them colored up out come a dozen new even cuter ones... I've actually been working on some samples & it won't be long before I can post them on my blog. Maybe I could just whip something cute out like you do & get it done ... I love the Tildas, those Darling Wee stamps & now the Saturated Canary images are tugging at my pocket book ... I want it alllll !!! I really do love this SC you have made today, she is the sweetest little fishermen & I love her pole with the heart. I think she's fishing for love !!!

I think your paper choices are spot on, glad the tutorial helped a bit. I love love love how you used the cattail die to match the fishing theme, it is like it was made for your card.
