Painting The Harvest!

Hi Everyone! It's Patty and it is time for me to share my card using the lovely digi stamp "Painting The Harvest" found at Cute As A Button Digi Stamps! I wanted my card to reflect the warm colors of fall. Since it is my favorite tie of the year I love using these colors. My grandson asked me to make the hair gray just like mine! LOL! Not sure if I achieved it but I gave it my best shot. I hope you will hop on over the the shop and check out all the lovely work by our super talented artists Francesca Lopez! She has something for everyone and all are appropriate for any age! If you would like more details about this card please check out my blog at https//:patty-inkitup.blogspot.com! I hope you enjoy my card and will grab your favorite and share with us!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song: Autumn Leaves
The falling leaves drift by my window
The falling leaves of red and gold
I see your lips the summer kisses
The sunburned hands I used to hold
Since you went away the days grow long
And soon I'll hear old winter's song
But I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall
Since you went away the days grow long
And soon I'll hear old winter's song
But I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall
I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall

Something new for me!

My cute kitty die!
I need to add a top rail to complete the scene!
A closer look at my stamped figure!
When I attended the Scrapbook Convention in Puyallup, Washington this year I took a class from Krazy Kreations. I must admit that this class was totally out of the box for me! I had so much fun with this class and was able to relax and just enjoy what I made. I also won a $25 gift certificate that I could spend in their booth. I bought this cute stamp and the chipboard. I had put it back for a few months and then a fellow crafter, the uber talented Nan Leonard and we decided to make up our chipboard. This is what I ended up with. All of the paper I used came from the scrap bin. I stamped my image and colored it with Copics. The kitty and the spiral staircase are die cuts. I added the post cards and the little heart. I am going to put a small paper pad on the back and give this for a Christmas present for a special friend. I am going to add a tiny top rail to my staircase to complete the look of it going around the corner! Just a fun little creation to change up what I normally do!
I am entering this project at the following challenges:
My Song: Downtown (Petula Clark)
When you're alone, and life is making you lonely
You can always go
Downtown
When you've got worries, all the noise and the hurry
Seems to help, I know
Downtown
Just listen to the music of the traffic in the city
Linger on the sidewalk where the neon signs are pretty
How can you lose?
The lights are much brighter there
You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares
So go downtown, things'll be great when you're
Downtown, no finer place for sure
Downtown everything's waiting for you

It's The Little Things!

A closer look at my cute digi stamp!
 Bubbles and more bubbles!
 The sentiment die!
The inside of my card!
It is time for another fun challenge at The Paper Shelter! For me this was a fun challenge as I love my punches and dies. I love using dies with punches a close? second. I must admit the storage issue is why I love my dies! I used "Relaxing Bath" for my card. Doesn't this cute image make you want to hop into a relaxing tub of water? I used dies for my sentiment, bottle, mirror, and frame for the inside of the card. Liquid Glass was used on the bubbles in the tub and on her hair. I hope you enjoy this card and will thank God for all the 'little' things we have in our lives!  Now, back to our fun challenge, you will find beautiful images over at the The Paper Shelter and there are so many to choose from also. Our Sponsors are The Paper Shelter and they are offering a fabulous prize of $30. to spend on their website. But don't forget they will only give you the whole amount if you have used one of their images on your card but don't worry if you haven't, they will still give you 3 digi images or your own choice if you are picked as a winner.
So grab those punches, dies, and join the fun!

I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: The Little Things (The Oak Ridge Boys)
It's the way you kiss me when we're walkin' down the street

It's the words you whisper when we're driftin' off to sleep

A certain way you touch me, the way you say "hello"
Baby it's the little things that make me love you so.
The way you pour your coffee in the early mornin' light

The way you call my name out in the middle of the night

How you sit for hours singin' with the radio
Baby it's the little things that make me love you so.
It's not the memories or all that we've been through

It's not the distant dreams that keep me coming back to you

It's not the promises that keep me warm at night
It's just the every day, it's just the safe and sound, it's just our home sweet home.
And when we're old and gray now and the kids have gone away

We're alone together I may turn to you and say

There's something I forgot to tell you and by now I think you'll know
Baby it's the little things that make me love you so.
Woah woah, Baby it's the little things that make me love you so.

Cute As A Button Mermaid! ***

A closer look!
I seem to be on a mermaid kick lately, but they are so much fun to color. This darling mermaid is the latest release at "Cute As A Button"! She is called "Reggae" just click on the link to go to the store!  This is one of those I wish you could see this card in real life as the picture does not show all the sparkle! I used 'Wink of Stella' on her tail and the beads in her hair. I also used liquid glass on the bubbles. I hope you will take time and hop on over to the Cute as A Button Shop and grab some of the fabulous digis you will find there.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My  Song: Part of Your World (Little Mermaid)
Look at this stuff

Wouldn't you think my collection's complete?
Wouldn't you think I'm the girl
The girl who has ev'rything?
Look at this trove
Treasures untold
How many wonders can one cavern hold?
Lookin' around here you'd think
(Sure) she's got everything
I've got gadgets and gizmos aplenty
I've got whozits and whatzits galore
(You want thingamabobs?
I got twenty)
But who cares?
No big deal
I want more

Happy Birthday Luke!

Today is our oldest grandson's 13th birthday. He is a wonderful blessing to our family. He is always teasing me about being a "Grey Hair" and he tells me when I 'get old' he will drive me where ever I need to go! I had to laugh when I saw this stamp from Mo Manning because it was perfect for his birthday card! He did get a big kick out of it and  it made me happy to know I made him laugh on his special day! Happy Birthday Luke....can't believe you are a teenager already.

The inside of my card!
Here we go again, it's time for another fun challenge at The Paper Shelter! This is one of those challenges that you just have to enter because it is "Anything Goes"! This is a two week challenge and will give the DT members a summer holiday!   I choose the "It's Tea Time" for my card. I wanted to add a little 'steampunk' look so I went a bit wild on the colors and the die cuts! This is truly a fun digi to color! As usual our lovely sponsor The Paper Shelter is offering a fabulous prize! So, jump in and join the fun!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song: Tea For Two (Doris Day)
Picture you upon my knee,

Just tea for two and two for tea,

Just me for you

And you for me alone.
Nobody near us

To see us or hear us,

No friends or relations

On weekend vacations.

We won't have it known, dear,
That we own a telephone, dear;
Day will break and you'll awake

And start to bake a sugar cake,

For me to take

For all the boys to see.
We will raise a family,

A boy for you, a girl for me.

Oh, can't you see

How happy we would be?

The Wizard of Oz

 A Closer Look!
 And Another!
I had so much fun playing with this card. I even had a big blob of ink pour out of my Copic pen and I was able to incorporate it in the pleat of the skirt! Flowers and some pretty little pearl stars added to the magic of this cute digi stamp. If you look close you will see little dots around the stars which came from a spica pen! Some more pearls and touches of glitter on her dress finish off this fun card! I made this card for Cute as a Button's Inspiration Blog! You can find this beautiful digi HERE!
While you are grabbing this darling set why not check out all  the darling digi stamps and other fun items at Cute as A Button!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song: We're Off To See The Wizard (Judy Garland)
Follow the yellow brick road
Follow the yellow brick road
Follow, follow, follow, follow
Follow the yellow brick road
Follow the rainbow over the stream
Follow the fellow who follows a dream
Follow, follow, follow, follow
Follow the yellow brick road
We're off to see the Wizard
The wonderful Wizard of Oz
We hear he is a whiz of a wiz
If ever a wiz there was
If ever, oh ever a wiz there was
The Wizard of Oz is one because
Because, because, because, because, because
Because of the wonderful things he does
We're off to see the Wizard
The wonderful Wizard of Oz

Holiday Time!

A closer look

My cute die cut!
The sentiment (also a die cut)
The inside of my card!
It is hard to believe that summer will soon be over and soon the kids will be back at school. Like most people we are trying to cram as much as we can in these hot summer days. Well, here is a fun challenge at The Paper Shelter and  it is Holiday Time!  I chose "Where We Goin'?" digi for my card. Yes, she is one of my favorites! I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Me and Bobbie McGee (Janis Joplin)
Busted flat in Baton Rouge, waitin' for a train

And I's feelin' near as faded as my jeans
Bobby thumbed a diesel down, just before it rained
It rode us all the way to New Orleans
I pulled my harpoon out of my dirty red bandanna

I was playin' soft while Bobby sang the blues, yeah
Windshield wipers slappin' time, I was holdin' Bobby's hand in mine
We sang every song that driver knew
Freedom's just another word for nothin' left to lose

Nothin', don't mean nothin' hon' if it ain't free, no no
And, feelin' good was easy, Lord, when he sang the blues
You know, feelin' good was good enough for me
Good enough for me and my Bobby McGee
From the Kentucky coal mine to the California sun

There Bobby shared the secrets of my soul
Through all kinds of weather, through everything we done
Yeah, Bobby baby kept me from the cold
One day up near Salinas, Lord, I let him slip away

He's lookin' for that home, and I hope he finds it
But, I'd trade all of my tomorrows, for a single yesterday
To be holdin' Bobby's body next to mine
Freedom's just another word for nothin' left to lose

Nothin', that's all that Bobby left me, yeah
But, feelin' good was easy, Lord, when he sang the blues
Hey, feelin' good was good enough for me, mm-hmm
Good enough for me and my Bobby McGee
