Home Where I Belong

I know I have used this image many times, but I doubt I will ever grow tired of it. I always think of my mom when I use this image and I still miss her even though she has been gone for eleven years.
I had fun making this card and loved the reds and Kraft brown together. I also used some yummy burlap ribbon (SU). I added some liquid glass to the apples. I love how it makes them pop! Just a fun card that will go to a special friend for her birthday!
My Song: an old one from BJ Thomas
They say that Heaven's pretty
And living here is too
But if they said that I
would have to choose between the two
I'd go home, going home, where I belong
And sometimes when I'm dreaming
It comes as no surprise
That if you look and see
The homesick feeling in my eyes
I'm going home, going home, where I belong
While I'm here I'll serve him gladly
And sing him all my songs
I'm here, but not for long
And when I'm feeling lonely
And when I'm feeling blue
It's such a joy to know that
I am only passing through
I'm headed home, going home, where I belong
And one day I'll be sleeping,
When death knocks on my door
And I'll awake and find that
I'm not homesick anymore
I'll be home, going home, where I belong

Such wonderful memories. I love this image too and remember you had a hand in designing this one. Well done!

Very pretty...I don't remember this image and you using it a lot. But, whatever, she's gorgeous! I lost my mom 21 years ago and I still miss her. I'm trying to remember this BJ Thomas song but for the life of me I don't remember this either...haha Guess my memory hasn't clicked on this morning.

This is lovely, the sepia flowers almost remind me of pine cones and I agree, the kraft and red look amazing together!
