A new Challenge at Inspiration Destination

It is time for another challenge at at Inspiration Destination! Our fabulous sponsor this week is "The Cutting Cafe".
I was concerned about this challenge as I do not have a silhouette or any other cutting machine that would work. But our DT leader Ema told me not to worry that I could print the template and just cut it by hand. Sounds simple right? Of course, I had to pick one that had a multitude pieces to it! Lol! But, this will prove that if I can do it any one can as I am not the most talented techi  person. I will say that the instructions and the printed template are clear and concise!  I chose the "Suitcase File". Below are the pictures of my end results.

The finished suitcase!
 The inside view
A closer look I added a pocket to the lid to place a gift card in!
A look at the latch, I used a large half pearl to slide into the paper latch!
 The backside of the suitcase.
I used the cardboard off the back of a tablet for the handle. Next time I will use chipboard as this kept pulling away as the layers pulled off.
I used ribbon for the bands around the suitcase. This is from a spool of ribbon that I have had for several years! The buckle slides are from Stamping Up and they are about five years old!
As you can tell this project took me a great deal of time and I kept thinking of ways to to better decorate my box. All in all it was a fun project and I will use it to give some craft supplies to a friend. I hope you will take time to check out "The Cutting Cafe" they have such a large selection to choose from and so many fun projects to choose from.  I can't wait to see what your entry will be for this challenge! Remember it is always 'Anything Goes'!
I am entering this project at the following challenges:
My Song: Leaving on a Jet Plane (John Denver)
All my bags are packed
I'm ready to go
I'm standin' here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye
But the dawn is breakin'
It's early morn
The taxi's waitin'
He's blowin' his horn
Already I'm so lonesome
I could die
So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go
'Cause I'm leavin' on a jet plane
Don't know when I'll be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go

What an undertaking. It must have taken you hours and hours of work, but they were well worth it. This little suitcase is precious and the card pocket really sets it off perfectly. Lovely colors you chose. You have way more patience than I think I could muster.
