A closer look...
and even closer....
If you are looking at the title of my post today you are probably wondering what this card has to do with "back to school"? To explain that I must share a bit with you about my mom. Growing up my parents were hard working and always trying to 'get ahead'. My mom worked in the orchards, took in ironing's and sewed for the whole family. Back to school time meant you would find her at her sewing in the wee hours of the morning making my school clothes. It was only after I was married and had children of my own that I truly appreciated her hard work and how much love she put into each stitch. You might have also guessed by now that our challenge this week at THE PAPER SHELTER is "Back To School". The Paper Shelter has some fun images (this one included) to choose from. So grab one or two, three.... and play with us.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song: BJ Thomas
Who's the one who tied your shoe when you were young
And knew just when to come and see what you had done?
Mama, oh Mama
And who's the one who patched your eye and told you not to cry'
Cause he was too big for you to try?
Mama, Mama
And who's the one you didn't need to plead
And who's the one you didn't need to plead
To give her time to the Little League?
It was Mama, oh, Mama
And who's the one who gave her shoulder
When you told her your first love was over
She'd met someone older, Mama, Mama
It was Mama, my Mama, oh Mama
It was Mama, my Mama, oh Mama
