"Another Back To School"

Today was a great play day. I really only spent a few hours playing today but I had lots of fun! I love this cute image...I think because I have always been a Sugar Nellie lover and this image is so darn cute! I colored her with Copics and added a bit of Liquid glass to her glasses. (Aren't they cute?) I have had this paper forever and so I can't tell you who/what/or where, but I really liked it! It was double sided and the grey was on one side and the green on the other. The orange is just scraps from the ole' scrap box. I added some half pearls and my card was finished!

"Thinking of You!"

I had so much fun playing with this card. I don't know who I will send it too, but it was fun to make. I feel bad because I have forgotten who the image is from but I think she is cute. I colored her with Copics and added gel pen polk a dots to the bandanna! I mad a small slit by her leg to thread my black polk a dot ribbon through and then tied a bow and added an anchor charm. The ticket sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps. I used a MS punch for the black lace edge. Three half pearls finished off my card. I hope your week is going well. My thoughts and prayers to each of you who has experienced a loss because of hurricane Irene.

"Ooops...it's for Mojo Monday"

I can so relate to this image. LOL! I have had far too many 'ooops' in my life. I colored this cute image from LOTV with Copics. I added a bit of spica pen to the flowers and liquid glass to the broken vase. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder on the grey bottom half of the card and added a gingham ribbon.  I followed the square sketch at MOJO Monday. I colored my half pearls which resulted in very black finger tips for me. (When will I learn patience in letting things dry properly?) I am entering this card at the following challenges:

Christmas In The Heart

I am still working on my 'stash' of Christmas cards. This is a just for fun card I did with this cute Sara Kay image. I colored the image with Copics and added a bit of sparkle to the snow flakes. I used a MS punch for the boarder and snowflake buttons. My sentiment if from CTMH. A white ribbon finishes off my Christmas Card.

"First Day of School"

Today is my sweet grandson Luke's first day of kindergarten. He started the day feeling excited and scared. His very wise mommy told him that was OK and that all the other kids would be feeling exactly like he was. I hope his day was great and that he loves everything about school. I did this little h'Angler card because Luke wants to ride his bike to school. I know that he will not be doing that for awhile but maybe some day! I followed the sketch at http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com/ I love to play in their sketch challenges! My dp is from Debbie Mum I added some faux stitching with a gel pen and some designer brads. Happy 1st day of kindergarten Luke!

Three, Two, One!

It's challenge time again at KKKG's! This week the challenge is 3 designer papers, 2 flowers, and 1 ribbon. I had fun with this one. I chose Brooklyn Babe for this card. I have had these papers forever and thought they went perfect with this card. I added a sheer ribbon (and bow) and popped a button on the center. I added two roses with prima flowers added to the back of each. Fern leaves and a little liquid glass to the sucker finished off my card. Hop on over to http://kennykkraftygirlzchallenges.blogspot.com/ and join in the fun! Crafty Emma has a $15.00 voucher for you and Kenny K is giving 5 digi images (winners choice). I want to say a special thank you to Kenny K and Elena for the lovely package they sent me this last week. This is one of the best companies that you could design for and one of the most generous. I can't imagine a better group of girls to work with on the DT. I have been blessed by being on this team and enjoy every minute of it. (Even when I mess us!) Thank you once again. Now grab those Kenny K digis and join in the fun!

Amanda This One's For You!

I have been wanting make this card ever since I found these cute little pin wheel brads. I thought this image was perfect for the brads. I re-cycled the cute little buttons on the bottom from a baby gift bag. My paper is all from my scrap box. I cut the image out with a Spellbinders die and then framed it with a die. I like how the image is running outside of the die, I think it gives her so much more dimension! So, Amanda! Does this one inspire you?

"Christmas"

It has been awhile since I have played in a Priscillastyles challenge. I always love to play each week and so I used this weeks sketch for my Christmas card. I also wanted to inspire a certain friend out there in blog land with this cute Magnolia stamp! OK! Amanda! Are you inspired? I colored the image with Copics and added a bit of Spica pen to the buttons and the decorations on her slippers. Did anyone else get this type of sock slipper for Christmas as a kid, besides me? I do remember getting them and you would wear them all winter in the house. By spring they usually had a hole in the "imitation" leather (plastic) sole. LOL! I love this sketch and enjoyed playing with the more 'suttle' Christmas papers in my stash. I added a stocking button and some plaid ribbon to my card. My sentiment is from CTMH.

"Fun In The Sun"

I wanted to send my grandsons a thank you card for all the 'fun' we had at the Oregon coast. The boys and I spent five full days on the beach. We explored, played in the sand and played in the water. Every day was sunny and beautiful. (Not always the case for the Oregon coast!) We have some wonderful video of the boys playing on the beach. Although it was hard to say good-bye I am so grateful that we had this time together. The image on both cards is a Mo Manning and reminds me of our youngest grandson...he would do this! I colored both images with Copics. I have had the paper for several years so I can't tell you which company it is from. I added some stickers and popped the shells with pop dots and added some glitter and tiny sea shells. The sentiment is from a close out bin at one of the scrap book stores. Just a fun card to send grammy's love!

Oh, No, No Mojo!

I have been struggling all week my a lack of creative juices. Today I decided to play and not worry about making a card for a challenge, but rather just play. So this card came from no plan, no mojo and no clue as to what I will do with it! LOL! I guess I will just count it as a practice card and hope a good Irish friend will show up! It is a fun image and I colored it with Copics. I used two SU punches (I think they are?) for the boarders. I added ribbon, ric-rac and some clovers to finish off this quirky card! I hope each of you are ready for a fun filled week-end. Blessings!

I'm Thinking Fall!

I am sorry this picture is so dark, I tried a different spot to take my pictures and I can see it is far too dark! My card is much brighter in real life! LOL!
The kids are all starting back to school today. The early mornings have a fall feel to them. But, the temps are still climbing to over 100. I am in the mood for fall. I love the fall colors, the cooler temps. So, I decided to make a card using fall colors. Part of my paper is from the bottomless scrap box and part is DCWV. I colored my cute little Tilda with Copics. I then cute her out and popped her with foam tape and sat her upon the sheer ribbon. I added some cute flowers that I made with a Marianne die. I added a copper brad to the center of each flower and a copper butterfly charm to finish off my fall card!

"I'm Picking Up Speed"

Having turned the big '60' I agree with Charles Schultz! LOL! This little h'Angler looks as if she is thinking the same thing....I think my children are also! My paper is from DCWV and it was a fun color combo to work with. I framed my sentiment with a birthday present die from sweet Janie (the sentiment came from Janie also.) I added some cute little sparkly flowers and framed my image with s Spellbinders die. I colored the image with Copics.
I am going to enter this card in the following challenges:

"Another MOJO Monday"

I always love playing MOJO Monday! Seems like a fun way to start the week. At least it is right up there with sleeping in and a nap. LOL! I loved this weeks sketch, such a fun one! My paper is all from DCWV. I used a Marianne die for the doily. I used my crop-a-dile to add some embossed bumps and then added some rhinestones. My image is an older Magnolia that I have had forever. I colored the image with Copics and added a little Spica pen to the 'jewels' she is wearing. I used MS punches on both of my boarders and also added rhinestones to the bottom boarder. A couple of ribbons from my stash finished off my card.

Layers and Layers!

It is time for a new challenge at KKKG's! Team "A" has come up with a fantastic fun one....layers! Now, you may look at my card and ask where are the layers? Well, let me explain! The background is three layers of digi's!  I also added the "Club Kid" image from Kenny K. After coloring my image I used a stylus and on the back side of my colored images I used the large rounded tip to give the face, shoes and plaster a little bit more dimension or layers. I then added an antique brad from SU and mounted my image on a scrap of DP from SU. The rust background paper is from my scrap box. I added a sentiment from CTMH and used one of my fabulous sentiment plates (thanks Janie). I added a sheer brown ribbon and some sparkly earrings to finish off my card! Just a reminder in order to win each week you must use a Kenny K image . Kenny is so generous he gives you a free image each month, so there is no reason not to use a Kenny K image and have a chance to win! Kenny K will be offering five digi's of your choosing as a prize this week and a great prize from
So, join the fun and maybe you will be the lucky winner this week!

"Brat"

The name of this stamp is called "Brat" I'm not sure why as she doesn't look like a brat to me!  This digi image is from Sinful Mindz . My dp is from DCWV. I used a MS punch and laced a ribbon through it. I added some tiny mulberry roses from WOC. My butterflies are a MS punch. I added stickles to the butterflies to add sparkle to my card. My ticket sentiment is from Whimsy stamps. I am entering this card at the following challenges:

Marianne DT Call and challenge!

I don't know how many of you have tried Marianne Dies, but I will tell you that I love them! This poinsettia die is one of my favorites! I love how it embosses the edges. I added a rhinestone for sparkle but the die set comes with a center also. (Darn I couldn't find mine)! Anyway, the image is a new one from LOTV and he is sooooo very cute. The paper is from Oriental Trading. The cute little pine cones I picked up in Oregon at a KOA park in Lincoln City. I thought they were so cute and I picked up all I could find to use on my Christmas cards! I colored my image with Copics and added some glitter to the snow. I used Viva glitter glue on the pine coses to give them a frosty look! I hope you enjoy this Christmas card and check out the Marianne dies and challenge! (See my side bar for the link!)

"Joy"

I don't know why but I am really having a hard time making a card that I like. Maybe I was on vacation too long and need to 're-learn' my card making. LOL! But, I have struggled with my cards. This is an older digi that I have had for a bit and I wanted to use it again. He is fun to color with my Copics, but that is where the fun stopped. I couldn't find the right paper, I used my new SU punch to make the banner. The first banner I used glitter on and it looked nice but while it was drying on my scrap room floor the door bell rang and I jumped up and stepped on it .... ugh I now have glitter on the bottom of my shoes! I remade the banner but didn't use any glitter this time! The button is from my stash. I am hoping my MOJO returns soon. I am going to do some major blog hopping looking for inspiration! Blessings to each of you!

Back To School

I find it hard to believe that school will soon be starting. I find it even harder to grasp the fact that our eldest grandson, Luke will start kindergarten this year. I wanted to make him a card and tell him we loved him. He is so excited about his first day and the best part is he gets to put his supplies away in his desk. I also made a card for his little brother who tells everyone he is going to pre-school this year. (Actually his mommy is having 'school time' with him.) Life seems to be flying by and they both are growing up much to fast! The image is a Mo Manning and I have colored it with Copics. I used my new SU embossing folder on both cards. It is called Herringbone! All my supplies came from my stash and it was things I have had for several years. I am trying to get back in the swing of things after our extended vacation. I am finding it hard to find my "MOJO". If anyone knows where it can be located please let me know. (Amanda thanks for the site here is the poem I used.)
Kindergarten here you come,
I know you will have lots of fun!
Lots of things to make and do
Reading, writing and counting too!

Vacation Pictures

Well, I had to do this! These are a few of the pictures from our vacation with the family. We had a wonderful two weeks on the Oregon coast and the most beautiful weather ever. The first picture is our oldest grandson Luke, next is the baby (oh he hates to be called that) Logan, next my DIL, next my DH, dog Shela and me on the beach and last is Luke driving the crabbing boat with my son Jeff. I hope the grandsons will remember these wonderful times in years to come.  Thanks for letting me share! Blessings!

"Summer Sparkle"

It's time for a new challenge at KKKG's! This week you are to show our summer sparkle. I decided to use "Uptown Angle". She is perfect for summer sparkle. I colored my image with Copics. I used a Spellbinder's heart die and embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder and then glued lace flowers around the edge. I added Stickles to the center of the flowers for sparkle. I added a ticket sentiment and button sunglasses. A ribbon bow with a star button finished off my 'sparkle' card. I hope you will join us this week at http://kennykkraftygirlzchallenges.blogspot.com/  you may be the lucky winner this week!
We have a wonderful
$15 Gift Certificate for Michelle's Scrapbooking Store and of course Kenny K is offering his fabulous digis.

Juliet!

This is such a fun image to color, it is called "Juliet" and is a "Beary Dust" stamp that can be found at Stitchy Bear stamps. I had trouble with my printer putting a line across the top where her hat was so I 'fixed' the problem by cutting her hat out of the frame. I think it worked pretty good doing that don't you? I used a MS scallop punch on the edges, and a die for the lace edge. I colored the image with Copics and added a bit of Spica pen to her bracelets for a little bling! I added gingham ribbon and flowers from WOC. My leaves are two MS punches that my sweet friend Amanda sent me for my birthday. I love these punches. I had shared with Amanda that I was having to drop my leaf punch to 'unstick' it. So, I was ever so grateful to get two new punches. My sentiment is from SU. This is a thank you card for a special friend that made my birthday special. I am entering this card at the following challenges:

This cute image is a "Beary Dust" stamp. I think she is really cute. The lovely sentiment was cut and stamped for me by Janie . She is such a talented lady you will have to check out her blog and see her  fantastic work. The pretty white lace border is also from Janie and it was cut with a die from Cherrylynn.  I added a cute little rose to her hat and a bit of Spica pen to the green ribbon on her skirt and her shoes to  add a bit of sparkle. This card is going to a special friend that always makes me smile. I hope your week is filled with blessings.

Isn't this a cute little image? It is one of Kelly's Kids that can be found at Stitchy Bear Stamps. I colored this image with Copics. She was so much fun to color! My dp is from Debbie Mum. The sentiment is from SU and is framed with SU punches. I used a MS punch for my paper lace. Three sparkly heart buttons finished off my card. This card has made it's way to a dear friend who made my birthday special. I am entering this card at the following challenges:

A Holly Jolly Santa!

Today is my oldest grandson's 6th birthday! This is a scheduled post as we are celebrating his birthday on the coast. I colored this LOTV image with Copics. I added glitter to his fur on the santa suit and fluff to his cuffs. The dp and cute christmas buttons are from Oriental Traders. I added a CTMH sentiment to finish off this quick little Christmas card. Happy Birthday sweet Luke, you are growing up too fast! Grammy and Papa love you!

Not A Snowman In Sight!

I am sorry that this picture is so bad. I was having lighting issues! This is a scheduled post and when this pops up I will be on the Oregon coast with my kids and grand kids. I am hoping there will be no snowmen in sight! In fact I am hoping for lovely weather so we can spend every minute on the beach playing and making memories. This cute little snowman is a Sassy Cheryl image. He is all bundled up against the cold. I colored him with Copics. and added a bit of glitter to the snow. For some reason there is pink in my glitter and the bottle says 'white'. I am not liking the 'pink' in this. I added some flowers from WOC and added some Stickles to them to make them 'ice roses'. A plastic sentiment finishes off this card. I hope each of you are enjoying time with your families this week. Blessings!
