A Little "Moose"chef!

 

I don't know about you but I love this silly moose. He is an older stamp from Magnolia and a favorite of mine. He makes a cute Christmas card for the guys also! I colored him with Copics and the die cuts are from Memory Box. I hop this posting finds each of you  at a point where you can slow down and enjoy the true meaning of Christmas. If not may today bring an end to the hustle and bustle.

Time to Say Good-bye!

 

First I want to apologize to my DT Leader and to my teammates  on ABC Challenge. I have had this post scheduled for months and for some reason it didn't post. In fact I had to delete it and re-post.  Blogger has been doing some strange things lately and for some reason it seems to like my blog! Next this beautiful stamp is called Mermaid and Her Baby 

I knew when I chose this stamp it would be a challenge for me and it was. But I had such a fun time playing and coloring her.  If you have not checked out  Aurora Wings  please click on the link and check out the lovely stamps you can choose from. 

Last but not least this is a bittersweet post for me. This will be the LAST challenge from ABC Challenge. We are on the letter "V" and our challenge is "V for Varied" we want to see anything you want to do. Please be sure and follow the rules before you post. So many lovely cards were deleted in our last challenge. 

I would like to thank Nikki and all of my teammates for making my experience on this blog fantastic. I feel honored to have worked with such talented ladies. I will miss all of you but know I will be following you out in blog land. This fun image is from Mo Manning. My younger brother is bringing one of his granddaughters to visit. She has never seen snow or built a snowman or ridden a sled down a snowy slope. We are hoping that the snow will be here in full force for her to enjoy! I kept this card simple. I just added some Memory Box die cuts. I added some rhinestones to the snowflakes. I sent this fun little card to my brother's granddaughter.

A Little Too Much Glitter?

 

Have you ever had one of those days when you have made a card and everything just goes wrong? Well, this card was one of those cards. I have this beautiful window card die from Queen & Co. So I got the brilliant idea to make a snow scene and add some glitter for the snow drifting in the windows. Sounds easy right? It should have been but as sometimes happens a few interruptions and I realized I had left out the glitter in two of the windows...no problem!  I thought I would just ease up foam on the right side and slip in some glitter. It sounded simple but it wasn't I ended up somehow getting the glitter on the sticky side of the foam and then it didn't stick down as firm as it should. So, I picked the card up and all but a small amount of the 'extra fine' glitter poured out on me. I quickly reached for some quick drying glue to solve the problem and knocked the bottle of 'extra fine' glitter in my lap. I was so fortunate that it landed upside down emptying the entire bottle on my black jeans. They still glitter after several washings.  By this time I needed to get this card in an envelope as I was headed to a party and using this card for the birthday greetings. So, I gave a card that only had drifts on one side! LOL!

A Cute School Girl

Winter Snow

 

This is an older Mo Manning stamp that I have had colored up for over a year. I tried to 'spruce' up my coloring a bit (I think I have improved in one year!) It is not perfect, but it is such a cute stamp I had to use it. I found some fun little candies and added them for a fun embellishments. I die cut the holly and berries. A Spica pen added some sparkle to the holly leafs and liquid glass made the berries shine.  I also glued on the snowflake string. The sentiment frame is from Spellbinders. Another Christmas card for the stash!

Fairy Lantern

 

This adorable stamp is from The Paper Shelter! You can find "Fairy Christmas Eve" here! Have you ever put a card together and then thought perhaps you picked the wrong DP? I had that feeling with this paper. While I really liked the paper  I think it might overwhelm the stamp! This stamp was such a fun stamp to color and I added  puffy paint to the snow and the fairy's fur pieces. A touch of glitter and some glassy accents to the lantern and candle brought some shine and sparkle. I had some pretty red cording that made a nice accent with a simple knot. Three ribbon flowers and with rhinestone centers finished off my card. The left inside sentiment is from CTMH and the right side sentiment is from Sweet and Sassy.

Detour!

 

Have you ever had one of those cards when no matter what you did you made a mess of it? Well this card was that for me! I don't know what happened to me but I could not do a thing with this card without making a mess. I colored the digi without too many mishaps. Then the fun began. I decided to add some pretty glitter for sparkle, but as I so carefully tapped by card over my glitter pan I managed to knock over the glitter bottle, which I had forgotten to put the lid on and promptly knocked the bottle upside down on my lap. Did I mention I was wearing black jeans at the time. Yes, they still sparkle after several washing's. Then since I had done such a brilliant job with the glitter I thought a touch of liquid glass on the beaks and carrot nose would  be a nice touch. The liquid glass bottle was getting toward the bottom and the opening to the bottle was plugged. So I took my trusty pin and cleaned out the tip and then gave the bottle a sharp shake with the tip down. Yes, you guessed it a huge blob of liquid glass landed on my card. No, problem I will just cover the shiny blob with a wooden snowflake! Of course I thought a glue dot would be the way to attach the snowflake, but then I put it on crooked. When I tried to lift it off I broke the snowflake. Three snowflakes later I had that mess covered. Since I was on such a successful streak with this card I decided to die cut some glitter foam I had on hand. No problem it cut out nicely! So I ran it through my Xyron. As I was taking the die cut off the Xyron paper it began to stretch and stretch. I must have spent twenty minutes trying to skootch (my word) the letters back together. At this point I put away my fun flock that I was going to put on the fur on the snowman's hat. Enough was enough, I couldn't handle one more mess! The cute stamp is a "Wee Stamp". No snowmen or snowbirds were injured or harmed in the making of this card!

I am sorry that my pictures are not better! We have had some dark days and it seems impossible to get a decent picture. Our challenge this week at ABC CHALLENGE is  the letter "U" for Unconventional! We want to see a Christmas card. We do not want you to use any red or green "Christmas colors" rather we want to see some unconventional colors on your card. 

I chose Angel of Christmas Stars for my card! Isn't she beautiful? I colored her with Copics and added some Spica pen to make her wings sparkle. I also used some Liquid Glass on the globe. Our fabulous sponsor is Conie Fong Art!
