"Let It Snow or No More Rain!"

We have had such a cold, wet, dreary, spring. I am amazed when I see that many of you are having a heat wave. We are still having to run heat to take the chill out of the air. This cute little guy doesn't mind the chill! The image is a Magnolia stamp. I colored the image with my Copics. I added flock to his hat, glitter to the snow base and liquid glass to the star and the lantern. I added three ornament buttons and a "Let it Snow" button. I dry embossed the silver and white paper. I always struggle with multi-layer cards. I look at others work and all the paper seems to go  together so well and mine sometimes doesn't. If there is a secret to it and you want to share with me I would be happy to learn from you. I am entering this card at the following challenges:

  7. I am the same way, more than two layers and I am at a loss. The only thing I know is to make sure to use different size patterns, small, medium and large. Or at least that is what I was taught when I took a home dec course. I love this card though and that let it snow button is adorable, perfect accent! By the way, how many cards have you made the past couple of days?
