"I Need You"

I wanted to have another go at paper piecing this image. It is so much fun to work with!  The image name is "Party Lucy" from C.C. Designs. I do think she is so cute. I paper pieced her dress added an extra layer for her bow, her shoes and her pom poms in her hair. Just a fun way to play with your images. You can find Lucy at the All That Scraps store!
My Song: God Gave Me You
I've been a walking heartache
I've made a mess of me
The Person I've been lately
Ain't who I wanna be
But you stay right here beside me
Watch as the storm goes through
And I need you

This Is Idaho

This image is an 'old' SU stamp. Although it is old, it is a go to stamp for me when I am making 'guy' cards. It always makes me think of the beautiful areas in Idaho. My dh will argue that the high desert has it's own beauty. But, the mountains and forests will always be my favorite.
My Song is : Idaho State Song
And here we have Idaho
Winning her way to fame
Silver and gold in the sunlight blaze
And romance lies in her name
And we'll go singing, singing of you
Singing of Idaho!

Playmate...come out and play with me!

Do you remember the song "Playmate". That is what this image made me think of. This little cutie is "Party Lucy" from C.C. Designs. I kind of went crazy on the paper piecing! Loved the argyle socks though. This is one of those cards that I wish you could see in RL as it is so much prettier than the picture! LOL! I used the C.C. Designs Leafy Branch Cutters and the Phlox Flowers. I think these are some of my favourite dies. I also used a MFT die to frame Lucy.
 My Song: Playmate
Playmate, come out and play with me
And bring your dollies three
Climb up my apple tree
Shout down my rain barrel,
Slide down my cellar door
If you'll be good to me,
 We'll be friends forever more!
Blessings to all my friends!!

My New/Old Rocker

I wanted to share pictues of my beautiful antique rocker my husband purchased for me. My BIL found it in a shop in Oregon. The couple selling it were in their late 80's and they found this rocker in an abandoned cabin in Alaska. I would love to have more information about this rocker if anyone knows anything about it. I like to imagine it was a place for a tired mother to settle in the evenings around a warm fire, as she rocked babies and did hand work. I love it and love my husband and BIL for getting it for me.

There's No Place Like Home

Logan

 Luke
I finally made it home and had a heck of a plane ride getting here! I was lucky enough to enjoy all the wind, snow and ice that Wyoming, and Colorado could throw at me while flying. But, it was all worth it to have a few days with my grandsons. They are both growing up so fast and I do miss the day to day with them. Luke who is trying to look very 'mature' cries every time we part and it just breaks my heart. Logan insists he is going to build a slide to my house....since he is in Wyoming and I am in Idaho, it will have to be a long slide! LOL! Just wanted to show you pictures of them. While I miss them, it is great to be home. I had a lovely surprise waiting for me when I got home. I will take a picture of it and post later. Hope your week was filled with blessings...mine certainly was!

Good Bye Ruby Tuesday!

As you read this posting I am winging my way to Sheridan, Wyoming to visit my grandsons. It has been far too long since I have had a grammy fix! LOL! It is also time for another fun challenge at ABC! We had so many great entries for our last challenge, I can't wait to see what you do this time! Our fun challenge (and yes, it is right up my alley) is "Jazz It Up". So dig out all that sparkle, bling and jazzy accents! This is a cute little Magnolia image framed with a MFT die. Since I am away for this posting I will not be able to enter it into any challenges. So hop on over to the ABC blog and maybe you will win some of the fabulous prizes. We are being sponsored by:

My Song for today: (Suggested by my husband)
She would never say where she came from
Yesterday don't matter if it's gone
While the sun is bright
Or in the darkest night
No one knows
She comes and goes
Goodbye, ruby Tuesday
Who could hang a name on you?
When you change with every new day
Still I'm gonna miss you...

"My Guy"

Today is a very special day. It is my DH birthday. He is such a sweetheart! He is going to be alone on his birthday as he bought me a ticket and I am flying to Wyoming to see the grand kids on his special day. We have been married 40 years and I cherish each year we have together. So Happy Birthday Steve, I love you and wish you were flying with me! I have a new 'favorite' paper pack. This one is a DCWV called "The Craft Box". It has some unusual color combinations that are rich and beautiful. I wish I had a better picture of the rich red-oranges and teals they are really lovely. I tried to color my image accordingly. This is my DH birthday card. He will find it after I am in the air. I will catch up with everyone in a week, when I return home. Blessings!
My Song:
Nothing you could say
Can tear me away from my guy
Nothing you could do
'Cause I'm stuck like glue to my guy
I'm stickin' to my guy
Like a stamp to a letter
Like the birds of a feather
We stick together
I'm tellin' you from the start
I can't be torn apart from my guy

Miss You!

I played for a bit today. I can't say this is my most favorite card but it was fun to make. I used a Krista Smith image and some of my new die cuts. This will probably be my last posting be heading to Wyoming. I hope you all have a wonderful week. blessings!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song:  Listen To Our Heart
How do you explain, how do you describe
A love that goes from east to west
And runs as deep as it is wide
You know all our hopes, You know all our fears
Words cannot express the love we feel
But we long for you to hear
So listen to our hearts, hear our spirits sing
A song of praise that flows
From those you have redeemed
We will use the words we know
To tell you what an awesome God You are
Words are not enough to tell You of our love
So listen to our hearts

No card....but a baby blanket

No card today, but I wanted to show you what has kept me busy. There is a sweet lady in our church who is expecting her first baby. I wanted to do something special for her. I found this super cute, soft , fleece. I knew it would be perfect for Salina's little one. Since we don't know if it is a boy or girl I went with pastels that I hope will work either way. The blanket is large enough to work well in a crib and has a satin, rainbow binding. I am hoping this picture is not blurry I had my eyes dilated and I am still not seeing clearly.

"Gimme That Girl"

This is my last card for the week. I bought a new pad of paper from DCWV called "The Craft Box". It has the most beautiful combinations of teals and red-oranges. I had to color my image to go along with this combination! I also wanted to have a bit of play with my new Memory Box dies. I used the hear chain for decorative edge along the image and the new boarder die. My image is from Krista Smith. Enjoy your Sunday and have a great Superbowl!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Gimme That Girl
Hang up that red dress,
let down your hair,
cancel those reservations
there's no need to go no where.
As good as your looking right now,
girl bet your thinkin I'm crazy,
there's a side of you that I wanna see
that never ceases to amaze me.
Gimmie that girl with the hair in a mess
sleepy little smile with her head on my chest,
that's the you that I like best,
gimmie that girl.
Gimmie that girl lovin up on me,
old t-shirt and a pair of jeans,
that's the you I wanna see,
gimmie that girl.

"It's My Party"

This is a new stamp that I have never inked until today. (Yes! I do have several of them!) I decided to have a bit of play with colors today as I really had no reason to make a card except for fun. I was also having an issue with lighting today as  my goose neck lamp broke away from it's stand. All of my paper is from my scrap box (s). I think this is a cake I  have baked all lopsided! I used the following supplies on this card: Memory Box Die (hearts) (scallop), CC Cutters, gingham ribbon, WOC flowers, Stardust Pen. I hope you are having a wonderful week-end! Blessings!
My Song: "It's My Party"
Nobody knows where my Johnny has gone
Judy left the same time
Why was he holding her hand
When he's supposed to be mine
It's my party, and I'll cry if I want to
Cry if I want to, cry if I want to
You would cry too if it happened to you

"Sweet Kiki"

I finally had a few hours of free time to play today. So I took advantage of it and dug out an older  digi stamp I have had for a while. This image is Kiki La Rue. I think she is debating whether she should eat this cupcake or not. If she is like me her sweet tooth will rule over any diet. Just a fun little card to brighten a friends day.  I used the following supplies on this card: 3-D foam squares, Stickles,Spellbinders Die, Liquid Pearls, SU embossing folder, Memory Box die, Memento Ink
My Song: "Sweet Caroline"
Where it began
I can't begin to knowing
But then I know it's growing strong
Was in the spring
And spring became a summer
Who'd believe you'd come along

Hands touching hands
Reaching out touching me, touching you
Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I've been inclined
To believe they never would

"Winters Still Here!"

A closer look!
A look inside!

Is anyone else experiencing crazy winter weather? One day it is warm and spring like and the next rainy or snowy. I think I thought winter was soon going to be over .... guess I got fooled.
